As a Data Analyst my self i can confirm that this is pretty much about what I do. Usually the tasks are not as clean cut as shown here. E.g. do you sometimes realize a problem in the data while creating a report and go back to the datatransformation. But this shows perfectly what the general tasks of a Data Analyst are!

Now THIS is the Day in the Life video I was looking for!!!! This definitely gave me much more insight on what it entails. I knew some of what was mentioned, but definitely didn't know all of this. Extremely helpful and much appreciated!
I’m in the process of deciding if I want to move forward with a Data Analytics certification and wowwwwwww I had no clue it included all of this. Not very sure I can handle the coding and math lol. Thanks for the details!
Thank you for providing a proper 'day in the life of'! Other videos never go into what they actually do, work-wise, this was really great and insightful.
This is by far the most simple and straightforward video i have seen about a data analyst day. I am motivated by it. Thank yiou.
As others have commented, this is one of the best, if not the best, day in the life videos I’ve watched. Super helpful. Thank you!
This was perfect! So in-depth and detailed. As an aspiring Data Analyst, this motivated me. Thank you!
The best “A day in life” I’ve ever seen! Super helpful, thanks a lot ❤️
Thank you so much! This was super helpful and definitely cleared up a lot of questions I had on what you’d actually be doing
Best ‘day in the life’ video of any career ever. For a job that usually involves confidentiality so you can’t actually show what you’re working on therefore you need to explain it concisely, this was great! I’m not even a Data Analyst (yet) and I 100% understood what day to day work would look like. Thanks
This has to be the most accurate "day in the life" of video for Data analytics I've seen.
Beautifully put. Thank you for sharing this!
I've paused the video to say, this is the BEST day in the life video I've seen on KZread! I'm actually getting into project management so would love a PM one like this but I can't find any good ones from PM professionals in the UK
You have by far given the best definition of a Data Analyst👍
This is the video I’ve been looking for!! Thank you for this.
Thank you so much 🙏for your contents on social media!
I’m an aspiring data analyst, and I find this video insightful
thank you for the detailed guide, it helped me install this soft
Struggling to get into the industry as a Data Analyst, looking for a mentorship and good opportunity. This is encouraging for real. Thanks alot.
I loved the details in this video and these best practices! It’s giving me some inspiration to structure my job. Your day seems much calmer than mine though… I feel like I’m frantically bouncing around multiple projects and requests daily… no chill. Is that normal or is my company just a little crazy?
Thanks for the detailed insights!
I’m trying to switch to DA and your videos have been hella helpful
I'm a year into my bachelor's program for Data Analytics. This was such an insightful video! I'm learning python, sql, and statistics, and it's so cool to see I can continue learning and staying on top of new techniques. I can't wait to become a Data Analyst!
Thank you for this video! Always nice to see Data Analysts/Data Scientists doing their job. I'm actually dedicating a lot of time and effort in order to learn as much as possible to become a Data Scientist myself in the near future. Such inspiring professions.

As I'm an introvert, one thing that I'm worried about is the communicantion skill. I heard many data analysts mentioned that it is so important to have a *strong communication *. Yeah!! It's truth that a word of strong makes me nervous. In addition , as English is not my first language, and I'm not the one who can or likes using a high level words like business terms or talking sound like a professional. Therefore, how can I overcome this kind of thoughts before I graduate ?

@radio.silence

1) Practice. I feel your pain, but this is necessary. You won't know if your communication level is good enough if you don't talk to people. 2) When you speak, focus on getting your point across as best as you can and don't criticise yourself in the process. Don't know big words? Use the ones you know to explain what you mean. This is a skill too. The goal is to not get stuck. For me, I get stuck when I start judging my grammar or pronunciation, trying to speak perfect English. 3) Add 'English conversation' to your skill list. Treat it as just another skill, like SQL or python, that you have to improve in order to land a job or progress in your career. That's all it is! You can absolutely have strong communication skills as an introvert. I think you can practice in your native language too - being concise, unambiguous, respectful, all that stuff.
Great video. Love the video a lot of insight, hope to see more of this CF
It would be great practical learning platform for new people like me who are exploring resources in joining this profession. Keep it up!

Dont know why I am addicted to watching day in the life of videos. I know this is a video to entertain more then actual avg day, but after watching several of these day in the life of data analyst videos can't help but wonder how long do actual data projects take on avg? I imagine a week maybe more? Otherwise if data projects are just 1-2 days that is close to 100-200ish projects a year. Which is a lot
I think that data analysis is one of the best careers right now, personally I love the combination of subjects that make it unique, the problem that I am encountering after almost a year as a data analysis trainee is the job search, I am from Peru

This is the life. I have got to be data analyst at least for starters. Does anyone have a link for an entry role into data analyst role, I badly need support into an entry role?
Can you just talk Normal as a data analyst? It seems like you guys speak in a way that is unnecessarily complicated. Things I would like to know tho is what is an example of the process? The business ask you what? Like do they ask “how many sales we had in October and what’s the age range?”. And you use your skill to find that out in python? What is the meaning of using these programs? Why must you use code? Why aren’t there wysiwyg programs where the business can input the data already? I’m tryna understand the reasoning.
sir, I work well on the Power query. Do I need to learn the M language as well? I am preparing for data analyst job.

Would a software engineer be able to do a smooth transition to data analyst? Seems like there is some cross over in the set of skills needed, for example problem solving and programming, I didn’t expect for data analysts to share quite several things with SWEs
I've knowledge of both Pandas and SQL but am still confused as to which of the above tools would be suitable for Data Analyst. Could you kindly recommend a tool to use? Thanks
Great video
I do strongly disagree with the code language aspect. If you still have managed to learn 3 code languages, and speak several languages on top of that, you shouldn't be obliged to learn new ones. There are plenty of companies here that will be more than happy to hire you, especially if these 3 languages are well-known and widely used. Companies should definitely stop asking too much to their employees.

I can manage storyteller and business consultant because I work as copywriter in consulting company. My problem lies in math and coding. I wonder how deep we have to master these two?
Got a question for ya. Do you think companies would hire someone new to the data analytics field, if all they had was a certification? I’m going through a massive career shift from education to data analytics. And I’m currently enrolled in the Google Analytics program. So, do you think simply understanding basics at beginner levels such as simple SQL, queries, spreadsheets, and basic coding functions and formulas could land you a junior position?
@hs63
Жыл бұрын
I'm leaving education for data analytics too! From what I've heard (online & from data analysts I've met in person) is you definitely need to know Excel, a good deal of SQL, and then one way of showing visuals of what you've learned -- Power BI, Tableau, R, etc. The thing they care about is seeing what you can do. So before you apply put together a project showing your skills. You don't need to know everything, but they need to see you've got a good foundation to learn for whatever role you're going to fill.
@frothylube491
Жыл бұрын
@@hs63 Thank you! I’ve been trying to figure out what to do in terms of sending out resumes and applications once I get done with my certification. I’ve been taking time to learn SQL, I’m about to start learning R and Python, and then I’ll be getting into visualization. My mentality is teach myself as much as I can and get a company to give me a shot and help me learn more.
