    As it turns out, a Catholic priest lives a pretty normal life. And yet, the most extraordinary life of All.

    Depending on the priest ans which order they pick. This is a pretty normal guy considering. But others may choose to pray most of the day.

    Good luck my friend!! I am worried though, I wish with all my heart to get married and have children, and I can’t think of my life if that did not happen, but I sometimes feel called by priesthood, I am still just a young and dumb 15 year old, but this worries me, any tips to solve this problem?

    @@pezequilibradohace5anos538 Thanks so much. The only help I can offer is to strongly encourage you to take your thoughts of priesthood and marriage to Jesus in prayer at the Holy Eucharist. Ask God sincerely and he will help you. Practically, I'd say you visit the seminary and experience the life yourself. Weigh the pro and cons of marriage as well for you personally and see what your heart feels. God will speak 🥰 You are 15. You have yet many years to discern. God bless you 💕

    @@SoyebAkhtar2312 “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him” - John 3:16-17. God loves us and as a result, He sent His Son, Jesus, to make atonement for our sins so we could spend eternity with God in heaven. Catholicism recognizes that people in other religions may be in good conscience with respect to God, who will honor that fact. However, I warn muslims not to judge Christianity by what they have been told. Many muslims have heard erroneous stories about Christianity, some of which go back centuries. The Christians that Mohammed was in contact with tended to be heretics. As a result, muslims should know that frequently their books are not responding to authentic Christianity but to a counterfeit. I can show the actual Christian teaching. I am convinced the Catholic Church is true, that it is the Church Jesus founded and I'd be happy to share the evidence for this.

    @@SoyebAkhtar2312 Let's address the misconceptions and fallacies presented in your argument shall we? 1. The Ten Commandments: As Catholics, we fully acknowledge and uphold the importance of the Ten Commandments. They are considered fundamental moral guidelines given by God to guide our actions and relationship with Him and others. The Church teaches that idol worship, as mentioned in one of the commandments, is indeed a sin and can lead one away from the path of righteousness. 2. Understanding Jesus Christ: Catholics believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God. While it is true that the term "son of God" is used metaphorically for various individuals in the Bible, such as Adam, Solomon, and Israel, it is important to recognize the distinction. Jesus Christ, as the Son of God, has a unique and special relationship with God the Father. He is not simply a prophet, but the Word made flesh, who came to reveal God's love and mercy to humanity. 3. Qur'anic Verse: Quoting a verse from the Qur'an doesn't necessarily invalidate the Catholic belief in Jesus as the Son of God. Different religions have different beliefs, and as Catholics, we uphold the teachings of Jesus Christ, Son of God, as revealed in the Bible and handed down through apostolic tradition. It is essential to engage in respectful dialogue and understand that while our beliefs may differ, it is possible to engage in meaningful conversation and mutual respect for each other's religious convictions.

  • @faithwisdom788

    @faithwisdom788

    2 ай бұрын

    @@HealedInChrist a careful examination of the context of Matthew 23 shows that Jesus didn’t intend for his words here to be understood literally. The whole passage reads, “But you are not to be called ‘rabbi,’ for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called ‘masters,’ for you have one master, the Christ” (Matt. 23:8-10). The first problem is that although Jesus seems to prohibit the use of the term “teacher,” in Matthew 28:19-20, Christ himself appointed certain men to be teachers in his Church: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations . . . teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Paul speaks of his commission as a teacher: “For this I was appointed a preacher and apostle . . . a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth” (1 Tim. 2:7); “For this gospel I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher” (2 Tim. 1:11). He also reminds us that the Church has an office of teacher: “God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers” (1 Cor. 12:28); and “his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers” (Eph. 4:11). There is no doubt that Paul was not violating Christ’s teaching in Matthew 23 by referring so often to others as “teachers.”

    I never fully appreciated how hard a parish priest works until I went to work for two of them! They are busy some days from morning until bedtime and barely have time to eat. I cook for them and have to remind them to eat, or I pack them a lunch to eat on the way to wherever they have to be. ❤

    Hmm, We as Orthodox dont eat nothing for 10hrs before partaking in the Eucharist. My Priest says he never eats brkfst until after Mass.

    Ok so when in that day did you get your devine office readings done? As a layman with a two year old and two jobs I find for me the best way to get a rosary in is in the car , but struggling with doing morning prayer, midday and Evening. Oh but thanks for showing your life.

    They could be starting dinner, and receive a call to administer last rites. If you are person that doesn't like interruptions, don't be a priest. A very busy but fulfilling life.
