This is the most beautiful form of the Mass in my opinion. I thank God for it's preservation.

Perfectly celebrated in 23 minutes. The priest is meticulous in the rubrics. Neither dragged out not rushed. Ite Misa est!

Actually this is the part 2 of the video, but you are right.

Just gorgeous. We, I feel as Catholics, should not allow the beautiful , sacred Tridentine Mass to fall back into history.

This priest has the face of a child. I'm surprised someone so young has memorized all of this and is able to do it so polished and professionally.

it's not just pure memorization, although certainly, after sooo many years of growing up with it, undoubtedly serving as an altar boy, studying latin, and about 7 years of seminary, it's not particularly crazy that priests dont memorize. that said, he's still reading a lot of it right out of the book, and there are prayer cards right behind the chalice that have everything printed out there, and to the right of the altar when he washes his hands, he prays the "lavabo" which is also printed on the prayer card on that side.. and then at the very end, he prays from the book of john (in the beginning was the word, etc etc), which, again, is also printed on the prayer card on that side of the altar. that said, some of it does have to be memorized, and I'm confident the priest in this video has virtually all of it memorized... certainly those parts of the mass that do not change.. but yeah, it's still cool to be able to do all of that in latin.

The Angels are surrounding the altar and adoring the Blessed Sacrament.

Finally- a filming of eucharist preparation that shows in slow, deliberate, contemplative motions and words the beauty and solemnity of it. Show more of these and the faith may actually draw people back in. Too many priests I've seen filmed do this at a hamster cage speed as if it's fast food!. It was so wonderful seeing this so peacefully, quietly and passionately- how it should be.

Thank you for uploading this Glorious Mass. This is the only Mass that should be said in all the Catholic churches, the Immemorial Tridentine Mass. Mass of the Angels, Mass of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Mass of all time. 🌲👑🌲

To answer some previous replies that contained questions altogether, and to expand a bit, it is worth noting that the Priest holds the Eucharist with his thumbs and index fingers. No other part of his hands ever handles the Eucharist in the Traditional Latin Mass. From the major elevation of the Body until the lavabos, the Priests handles only the Eucharist with his thumbs and index fingers. The Chalice is also handled during this window of time with the thumbs and index fingers together to not potentially lose and particles of consecrated Eucharist to the altar, the floor, or the Corporal (the white cloth put over the altar that the Chalice does not leave with consecrated Blood in it). This happens to be a measure of caution that priests take to preserve the sacredness of the Eucharist (Body and Blood, as I've mentioned the Chalice as well). As a result, they are known as the Canonical Fingers (canonical digits) and it is also a reminder to the Priests that he is handling the Body of Christ. Sadly, this is an element that has been lost in the Novus Ordo practices in many places, and so much reverence lost as a result. Hopefully this is of some help.

I can look at this Priest for hours and hours praying reciting and performing Rites.

I am an Anglican, but this latin mass gives me chills. What a wonderful service, truly divine. Beautiful and simple mass with such reverence, I can't understand why they don't do more of these. God bless you and keep you Father.✝️🙏

It doesn’t matter what he’s saying. It soothes me to sleep. You don’t need words to get the message. I’m dealing with addiction to alcohol, and just thinking someone above me cares, helps. I don’t mean in the AA way, that never worked for me. I mean personally

I have ordered the TLM instructional DVDs for our Seminarians because they are all receiving instruction in the Extraordinary Form on the weekends, if they desire. SOOO many of them are doing so. I want to help. I got these DVDs from EWTN. How can I get DVDs that instruct in the FSSPX ??? I noticed the ones in the info section were only for Asia ??? I noticed how cautious this Priest is regarding his thumb and index finger. He is doing it to preserve the chunks of the host suspended on his skin. How sad that the earlier doesn't strictly observe that anymore. Even in communion. Viva Christo!

I just… don’t understand why they would remove this… I just don’t understand why I as a new convert 23 yo male in south central Kentucky am not allowed to have this. I’ve spoke to the priest numerous times. He’s extremely pro norvos ordo I believe it’s because of being ordained in 1970. But still I just don’t understand how someone could prefer the new mass over this. Or at least if the people wish for the traditional why are we not allowed to have it? If they makes us feel closer to God why can’t we do that? Why?? Give the people what they want.

Mass is Mass. I must say though, there's something to this. I am also from the south, NC, where we likely are even less Catholic than Kentucky (a state I genuinely LOVE btw), and it is a desert of true Catholicism. The priests are generally bad or uncaring. The bishop is an asshat, the Diocese does not help me. I was in Catholic school my whole life and surprisingly realize I want to take this as far as it will go. I want it all the way, I see such spiritual fruit in Tridentine Mass, why not have them both? I love Pope Francis so much but wish, if trying to get rid of Tridentine Mass, was his method of going after conservatives who try to keep people like me out of the Church, that he'd find another way. Just defrock them. Let this Mass be, we should have options. It's like a spiritual trance. Imagine how many New Age people we'd convert, since they already listen to Gregorian Chant!

Who would have thought that prayerfulness could be part of the Mass? I no longer go to Mass due to its busyness, constant distraction, devoid of actual prayer, triviality, and its being truly devoid of worship. It's all about the petty needs of the laity, who demand more and more, like petulant and self-absorbed children intent upon having worship oriented to themselves. However, seeing this Mass -- one that I have never experienced -- saddens me to see what we have largely lost, but there is also hope in knowing that some still worship.

Who was in charge of cinematography? The camera angles and focus are flawless, I have never seen more beautiful and precise camera work in my life not even in Oscar award winning movies for camera work. May God bless the technicians who put this together, makes the viewer feel like a little butterfly that can fly into position to watch every beautiful movement of the holy mass.

This is thee mass of the catecombss celebrated from st damacine....it was sealed by Gregory and Pius v....but the prayers have always been the same only saints where updated ....any other angle would not give the calvarian mass justice

There's so much sacredness, reverence and solemnity in the TLM. It is easy to say that you don't know what the priest is saying and therefore he should do the Mass in the mother tongue of wherever he enacts the Sacrament. It is also easy to say that people need to learn Latin. The fact is, ultimately, that you can do it both ways and yet be reverential to the Sacrament. That's the over-arching issue: the loss of respect and adoration for Our Lord in the Sacrament of the Mass.

How I love it so much in the silence where you could feel the holly presence of God

I cry every time I watch it. Abbe Tranchet is so reverent and precise and holy.

The sacredness and the divine of the Blessed and Holy Eucharist- the Bread and Wine turned into our Lord Jesus Christ body and blood that will be shed for us sinners. God sacrifice His only Son in the altar. Thank you God Father Almighty.

So much care for the Body and Blood of Christ. I remember going to a Novus Ordo Mass couple months back and the priest was whispering the prayer for the Body and just threw it back on the plate. Felt so wrong it made me squeal internally.

They called it paten instead of plate but yeah I agree with you. Sometimes the priest use one hand instead of two when they elevate the body and the chalice. It's so unreverent.

Latin with a Latin accent is much better than Latin with a US accent... English-speakers can't pronounce some Latin sounds.

To Maverick Jann Esteban: At 6:55 the Priest said: "Hoc est enim Corpus Meum" which in English is: "This is My Body". It is the Act of Consecration. God bless

In English Hos est enim corpus muem... actually translates to: "This is truly My body.. You forgot the adjective "enim" which means truly / really.

Latin Mass Choir Enim actually means "For," so "For this is My Body."

This is heaven on earth. How I miss that simple Latin Mass of my childhood. Everything changed when I was 12 years of age, but I have never forgotten the Latin responses, or the time allowed for personal prayer. The noise and banality of the modern rite of Mass is tragic. The guitar and tambourine brigade have ruined everything. Hymns used to have a firm basis in didactic theology. Now? Many are almost atheistic...

@martinmata403Sorry but no, Salvation is not a free gift. And obeying God is not a result of salvation, but is instead the cause of Salvation. For when Jesus was asked how to be saved, his response was to obey the will of The Father. Not that if you believe in him you will be Saved, and therefore will obey The Will of The Father. Sola Fide is Unbiblical, and is misbelief which only popped up in the 1500s. No Christian before that ever believed in Sola Fide. Jesus when speaking about The Day of Judgement, says he will seperate The Sheep and The Goats. He describes The Sheep as those who fed the hungry and clothed the poor. And describes the goats as those who had NO LAW. Salvation as a "free gift" is a decievation from Satan, in order to make you believe you do not need to actively try to obey Christ and his commands to be Saved.
