I'm Czech and she still got me.
I am Brno born and raised. Glad you had fun, chill time here and thank you for enjoying Czechia beyond just Prague!
You know, Petrov literally means "of Peter" its derived from the cathedrals name,... so the hill is called after the cathedral, not the other way around
For all those feeling that the ossuary was creepy, Brno also has a crypt with mummified people on display ;-) It's the crypt of the capucchin monks' monastery and the bodies were dried out by natural draft.
You can actually buy the crystal ball in the Tourist shop :-).
I made a thesis about fortifications of Brno before and during the Swedish siege and the legend about changing the clock from 11 to 12 is not true, but just a legend. The fight continued untill evening and Swedish army left Brno unconquered which was huge relief for Vienna. Olomouc was not so lucky and that is the main reason why Brno is Moravian capital today and not Olomouc. By the way the cathedral of st. Peter and Paul was primary target of Swedish bombardment during the siege.
Well it is nice you visited Brno, my home town. But it is a shame you haven´t tried the gastro scene, the best in Czech republic. It is a city full of caffeterias, pubs, bars and restaurants, all in world class shape. So try next time;)
Just a little suggestion. If book your train or bus for traveling during the night you can sleep while traveling and save money on renting a room for that night. That's what I have always done.

except that the quality of sleep is very low :)
It's actually not a clock in the town square that was set to 12, it's the priest in the cathedral who struck noon in the old cathedral tower (was made shorter by one or two floors when the two new towers were built). Until this day, the cathedral clock strikes 12 at 11 a.m.
Natalie seemed so nervous about describing that, how some people do think the clock doesn’t look like a bullet but something else! 😂 great video
Thank you for sharing your experience with Brno. If next time someone asks what is Brno significant for, you can tell them that this is the place where Gregor Johann Mendel, the founder of modern genetics lived and did his experiments in 19th century. They named Brno university after him.
I like the joking name for the Astronomical Clock. English speaking Brňáci call it "Big Black Clock" - see the pun there? 😀 I hoped, that when you are in Czechia, you'd try Kofola (our version of Coke) and in Brno, you should try Starobrno beer instead of Pilsner Urquell. We make fun of Starobrno for being sub-standard beer and I'd love to see, whether is it our prejudice or whether you wouldn't like it.
Brno's c(l)ock is just a masterpiece. :D :D
Every time I watch you guys i find myself smiling. Thank you.
Hi Jimmy and Natalie, I just want to let you know that I loved your video from Brno! I work for the Tourism Board of Brno and I really appreciate you showed our city to your viewers. Very well researched content and great shots of our city. Hope you had fun! :)
FYI, I am not sure whether it is the case everywhere in Europe, but eating while on public transportation is discouraged. I got called out in Crete for that.

Your awesome Natalie for not killing the spider. Bench, that turn...yes. 😂 turn 90 degrees. Thank you for showing the Ossuary. That's pure history. Uncomfortable... I'm still thinking of the spider. Wow, Romania. Good thing you purchased extra sandwiches. This video, worth the wait...

Austra, I went there . My daughter was in a band trip to their 100th millennium celebration! They had bands from everywhere visiting and playing at different spots in the squares! Such an interesting time in my life. ❤😊
I’m a resident of Prague and I have to agree that there is so much more beyond Prague in the Czech Republic. First time watching your videos and what a likeable couple you are. I truly enjoyed the video and its content 😊
We have lived in Romania for 9 years now and we love it... it is a beautiful country and yes Airconditioning is a blessing here when you are lucky to get a place with it. You will be amazed at how inexpensive things are here... Have fun and enjoy this great country.
The Ossuary was so interesting. Loved the video!! Missed the bloopers.
Your journey is very interesting too! Thanks for sharing
We have a "butterfly house" every year here in Cincinnati Ohio at the Krone Conservatory.

If you are still in Germany. You need to play a song by Alphavile. Germany in love. Thanks for showing us around.
18 minutes in two weeks isn’t enough we needed more
The spinning bench was the biggest surprise for me.
I visited the catacombs of Paris with my kids several years ago. To enter, you had to go through this really small gate that was very obscure, then traverse down a spiral staircase the equivalent of many stories. Once down in the catacombs, it was mile after mile of a tunnel with bones stacked head high on both sides of the tunnel. If I recall correctly, the catacombs were actually mines where they mined limestone for the construction of the Paris streets and Metro subway. At some point, all of these remains from graves above ground were exhumed and relocated down into the mines (catacombs). It was a very interesting (and eerie) experience.
missed you two...glad you're back...stay safe
nice to see you two again! having fun!

Thank you!! 🥰😄
It’s best to wear bright colourful clothes, resemble a flower when visiting a butterfly place. I visited Austria and was so beautiful. Didn’t get to Romania
Love your curiosity, honesty and all the info you share. You’re Golden
Can I just tell you that o just booked a trip to Prague for December. Might do some train travel while I’m there.
Greetings from Brno! Great job, thank you! ❤️🙏🌞🎶😘
I am so enjoying your trip. Can only imahow much y’all are. Have fun and stay safe. Xoxo
Missed you guys last week, but the wait was well worth it. This is a terrific video. Thanks.

The ossuary was way cool. I enjoyed this video so much. It's very nice there. Sorry about the heat and the bus.

I loved van life - but cheep travel is also fun to watch!!
I loved that you were able to film in the catacombs. I went to one in Rome and filming wasn’t allowed.
Great documentary, I am happy you didnt stay only in Prague. Jimmy is so "I want to go to pub with him" and Nat is just "I want to follow her everywhere" :D
I live in Brno and me and my friends call the astronomical clock "Big Black Clock".
Nice. I have seen Prague, but not Brno. Brno looks amazing.

you should fix it and visit Brno too, it's really beautiful, there aren't so many tourists like in Prague and it's more natural one more advice: if you have to ask someone (for example about direction), ask younger people, they can speak English, older ones usually don't understand you
What a lot of research to find all of these places Natalie and then you two sharing the facts is very interesting and fun. Love it! Thank you for sharing.
I never understood the high humidity in the butterfly houses because that isn’t how it is when they are out loose and free
See u next week I love butterflies ❤
So so beautiful ❤I love butterflies 🦋 💜 💕
Welcome to our city 😍😍😍
Very cool, including the bones and butterflies ❤
Thank you for sharing your travels. Many of us won't be able to see these places. I liked the 🦋, creepy where all the skeleton were but I'd still have to see it. Safe travels. ❤❤
Amazing video. Looking forward to so many new adventures with you both.
I found you through the Prague video that was recommended to me (probably because I'm czech:D) and i was surprised to see you going through the pride festival because I was there on that day! I like the places you choose to visit and how you find out and give even educational information about them, it's very interesting to watch:) I've been to Brno only one time I think and don't get to visit Prague often:D If you ever visit again there's a looot of beautiful cities and castles (those mainly in south Bohemia), and for more natural sights I'm a fan of Adršpach-Teplice Rocks or Prachov Rocks..but anyways, I'm excited for your other Europe adventures!:)
Hi 👋, Jimmy and Natalie , That was amazing 🤩, Brno , Beautiful butterflies, a shame, Natalie doesn’t like them , I live in the Correze in France, in the countryside, right next to a river, runs through my property, , I have a lot of lot of butterflies, damselflies, and dragonflies , back in 2014, or thereabouts in the summer, while working on the Moulin/Mill , it was still derelict at that point, I went into the property and stuck in a cobweb in the window, was a very large dragonfly , I very very carefully pulled it out of the cobweb and took it and released it outside , this was in the morning , later, in the day, I had just finished cutting the grass , and all of a sudden a dragonfly came and started flying around me and come as hovered straight up my face I would say for probably 30 seconds to nearly a minute , as if to say, thank you for releasing it from the cobweb , I have got pictures of me standing in the garden with dragonflies and damson flies sitting on me, they seem to like my bald head. Ha ha , 😂 ..The Clock 😂😂, a piece of art, the best way to describe it, shame you missed your crystal ball, but never mind, Brno looks to be a beautiful place visit, beautiful and amazing architecture, , I suppose going into the catacombs it’s not everybody’s cup of tea but is an amazing place historically , I have been to the catacombs in Paris, if you have a chance Burgos Spain is a beautiful place to go. And obviously, Barcelona , but I must say, be careful of pickpockets, especially in crowded area. Romania looks nice., I hope you enjoy your stay, I have a friend back in the UK, whose parents live in Romania, and he used to be in a special forces. A great guy, I actually helped him to speak English, I always have a giggle every time I see an animal in the fields we call them goats 🐐, he was calling it a ghost, 😂, See you next week stay safe, don’t have butterfly nightmares, 😂, Phil from the moulin France,
It´s little bit strange and funny too to see my home town in someone´s trip vlog :D don´t be sad about the orb. Some of the citiziens are waitng for them since mornign and occupies all wholes in the "bullet" and then tey´re selling them. Especially on first days of our acstronomical clocks was impossible to get orb because of them, adn some of them were quite agressive. You also don´t have to turn whole 90°degrees it´s enought to turn only about 45°and look on the saint Jacob church - on facade is a man with naked butt pointing it to Petrov :D
That clock was awesome!! The clock at about 90 degree was even more awesome 😆 that was amazing!! I am absolutely LOVING this Europe series!! I am glad you guys decided to do this!! That ossuary looks very interesting!! That would be so neat to check out!! Awesome video as always!!
The 30 Years' War began as a religious war between Catholics and Protestants and ended as a territorial war between princes and kings. In the end there was the Peace of Westphalia in Münster and Osnabrück. The parties were so hostile that they didn't want to do this in the same city. With the Peace of Münster, the borders of Europe were determined and states were granted independence. This is how the Kingdom of the Netherlands became independent, from which the Netherlands and Belgium later emerged. Switzerland had its independence confirmed. Sweden had to retreat to their mainland. And much more. This was followed by 100 years of peace in Europe, although there were minor changes.
Went on mission trip there (Romania)about 30 years ago in Giurgui! It’s a beautiful country.
Brno is a beautiful city. I know you enjoyed it. The Osuary was so cool. Ok you tricked us with the clock. 😅 I fell for it lol. Looking forward to seeing Romania. Have fun and stay safe ❤
I knew it was coming when I seen the mini split in the background, that AC would be mentioned. I too noticed all the twin beds. I was beginning to think J&N didn't like each other any more or they were doing the Lucy and Rickey Ricardo thing. Turn out the lights !!! Going to be some action in Romania !!! LOL Man, I wish you guys would have got the orb. Could have increased your chances and each of the stand at a slot.
Looks like you’re having so much fun !!! What an experience !!! ❤
You two are killing it 😂 thanks for the update
What a great city to visit will put on my list for sure! Loved the ossuary
Thanks so much for your travels to Europe. Love ❤️ the tour. Enjoy 😊
Brno is my birth city. I hope you enjoyed it here. And I must admit that as shamefull as it is, you probably know about Brno more now than I do. :D
omg you were at the hotel right across the river from my house 🥰😍
Jimmy I didn't get creeped out by the history. I love history. Sweet Natalie those butterflies were beautiful except I'm with you on the 2 of creepy ones.God Bless Love you
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻 Awesome stuff guys Really really cool
Butterflies and skulls, too fun. I really liked the spinning bench and the food you were eating looked so good! Thanks for another cool adventure 💞

You mean Brno, not Prague!
Hope you enjoyed staying in Brno. I wouldn't say it's a beatyfull city, but it's the best to live in. If you'll plan to us again, let me know, I'll give you some tips so you don't have to eat at Obelix (which is actually 2.5 out of 5 on Brno kebab scale ) :) Enjoy Romania and rest of Europe.
The astronomical clock is called by locals "Brněnský Orloj" thats "Brno Orloj" (or something like that)
Well, I know where I'm having my next halloween party 👻! At the end of this fantastic journey, y'all need to show all the stamps in your passport!
There's anothes beautiful city named Český Krumlov
Not sure what it is about you guys and bus breakdowns. Remind me never to go on a bus ride with you guys. j/k :) You can ride on my bus when I finish building it in South Carolina, we should meet up.
Exciting to watch. Thank you
Stunning views you two thanks for sharing Pete cape town south Africa looking forward to seeing you soon
So proud of you both. You're really getting the hang of European travel. Hugs and safe travels. 🍀🍀💚💚😺😺🇮🇪🇮🇪🍀🍀
Thank you for exploring my city. Just a little thing. Do not ever put a stress on second sylable in czech words. Always the first syllable. Thanks.
We call it BBC - big black clock
Looks like fascinating adventures. Some super interesting sites.
Red cabbage is the dope Jimmy?? You're missing out bro!!❤
Have Fun and Safe Travels 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
"mini Prague" 😀 don't say that in Brno 🤣 BTW, that astonomical clock is called exactly as it looks and no BBC doesn't mean British public TV in this case 🤣
YAY!!!!!!!!!

I've actually been to the Catecombes in Paris, and to be honest I found the experience quite emotional, & extraordinarily haunting...
