    ​@@sarahclark6225 that's why dad's are so important (and sadly underrated. ) Part of protecting our family is conveying the threat to anyone WITHOUT looking like raging silver back gorillas. We silently let it be known we will destroy someone's entire past, present, and future if they hurt our families. Any chomo that's interviewed will admit, if the dads present and even LOOKS like they are a threat...the kids are safe. They never say that about moms though. It's why dads can't drive themselves crazy with all the what if scenarios.

    I honestly had to stop the show for a minute after he got his daughter back because it hit so hard in the feels and I'm not even a father but I couldn't even imagine how stressed and scared any parents would be in this situation for their child's safety.

Though he is often criticised, his years of experience and wisdom often come to surprise a lot of cops. Also it might be just a guess but maybe the actor in the car may have used his real daughter as I know some actors do.

    Nolan is such a great character in moments like this. This was a great scene and hats off to the actor playing the father. The look he gives when he subtly shakes his head and the face he has when finally holding his daughter safe at the end ❤ great acting.

    I only somewhat guessed the stuff. My og guess was a hostage situation but instead he was hauling illegal goods (eg guns bombs drugs etc) not tht the criminal was in the trunk with the kid either way I'd have made the same

    My father would do anything to protect me, my siblings, and my mother. He is a very stoic man and doesn’t often share his emotions but I remember him breaking down in from of me (1 of about 3 times I’ve seen him cry). I had woken up from a diabetic coma when I was 17 and when we talked he told me it was his worst nightmare come true, watching one of his children or my mother go through something painful and not be able to switch places with us. Most powerful conversation I ever had with him and he inspires me every day!

    I couldn't imagine being the dad in this. I cried like a bitch when my daughter was taken from me by court order because my ex lied and said I was abusive. I got custody of her a week later in court. Fast forward 12 years and my daughter is still the brightest light in my life. I would die before I let her be taken from me again.

    a father is more than just a sperm donor! and as the saying goes it takes a village to raise a child! don't feel like you are not a father figure to your nieces and nephews.
