Dear Skitten: There's a fantasy novel that you might like by Mary Gentle, 'Grunts!' It answers the age-old question of modern weapons in a Sword-n-Sorcery environment. A Dragon has collected weapons from all of time and space. Cross-bows, pointy sticks, flame-throwers and laser-rifles side by side! But there's a catch: you have to be an active-duty US Marine to use any of them! Basic training, uniforms, rank, promotions, discipline, Chain of Command: the whole nine-yards or that laser-rifle is just an awkward club. The dragon was a military history buff, and to prevent his collection used against him, he cursed every item! The Dark Wizard (always one of those, right?) creates a race of Orc's that are smart and dedicated enough to become 'perfect marines'; he plans to rule the world with heavily armed Marine-Orcs leading the charge and 'keeping the peace'! All they need now is a living, breathing US Marine to train the first batch of Troops! They kidnap the required Marine from Earth... I'll leave the rest for you to discover, but it's enough to say that nothing ever goes to plan, the Orc's take over and that's the least bad thing that happens. Enjoy!

The idea of elves and dwarves with modern weaponry is basically the GATE anime - while Warhammer 40k is the futuristic version

Theres an anime called gate that depicts what would happen if modern military went to another medieval world

I mean that girl didn't walk on water, she walked on bottles or the plastic wrapping around it

Okay, so for the video game store clip: it’s the second time someone has crashed through it. The driver was “the grandparent of the person who dodged out of the way” in the video (you can see a man on the left of the screen step aside moments before being hit), and appears to have been parked out front and accidentally reversed into the store-which was open and trading at the time-instead of driving away from it. The driver reportedly had the throttle stuck. And she had to slam it into drive in order to stop it going backwards. Otherwise she would’ve went through the whole building

I suppose the plural of 'utero' is 'uteri'? And the the sufix '-ini' relates to the size of the thing you're talking about, in that it's a smaller version of something. So if you have several small uteri, I guess that could be uterini.

As a follow up to Skitten's idea for tanks in a fantasy world, I have an anime to recommend. GATE would be what happens when modern weapons end up in a fantasy world. It's hilarious.
