Except reforestation in the boreal and temperate zones are a serious threat to biodiversity. There are species going extinct because of forests are taking over grasslands.

There is a similar quote in Jean de la Bruyère’s “Characters” (a sort of follow-up to Blaise Pascal’s “Thoughts”). It shows an old man having trees planted in his garden, for shade in his later years, delusional to the fact that he is about to die. When I first read that book at school, I treated it as a sort of personal Bible. That’s how much it moved me.

i love rubys videos. please dont throw away your beautiful intro that starts with ruby making a tea, then she pets her dog, goes into her room and takes out a book out of her shelf and the video starts. i love that intro! it gets me so excited to watch more of rubys videos. thank you so much for this experience. love you ruby... because of you i made my first to-do list on which i wrote "clean up my room" and it took me 2 hours to finish this task and clean up my room but i made it! also i started to read books everyday and read during the day as my routine.. bye for now

I visited Arran a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I discovered, thanks to a trip to the heritage museum, that I had relatives who lived and worked on the island for many generations. Me and my mum thoroughly enjoyed watching your video and pointing out where we had and hadn’t been. Arran is such a beautiful spot and you have definitely done it justice with all footage captured. Glad you had just as much of a great time as we did!
One week ago I received the 23-24 planner and I am so grateful to finally find THE best planner for a student and dedicated reader. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration in life and beauty!! Your trip to Arran brought back memories of a holiday i had with my parents many mons ago when i was about 14 where we did a tour of the west coatlst of Scotland starting with 4 day's on Arran. I like you think Arran is wonderful. I have been several times for special birthdays and holidays with family and friends. We usually stay in Lamlash looking across to the Holy island. Love Glen Rosa and saw the golden eagles up at Lochranza in the north. Thanks for posting this video.
My parents are from Arran. We live in Australia but were able to visit last year and see family. It was so beautiful.
