what an inspirational person, i like the way she connects with people
This was great. What an insightful woman. She is very much a people person.
She humanizes the seat in which she sit. She's is very wise and down to earth. I love listening to her speak!
1:21:30, very inspiring words about tenacity, fortitude, and trying again.
omg I love her so much she's like my one true idol!
An inspiration to all; great lady. Loved her book My Beloved World.
I also have a bright mother but she lacks self confidence. I think that is something that is pervasive in latina culture. I am happy that Justice Sotomayor shares that about her life.
Love her.
She's simply EXTRAORDINARY, Such a good inspiration !!!!

Judge Sotomayor > Judge Judy
Very charming woman. That's how you work a crowd.
was ann william here just to sing?
The idea that they have no ideological approach to deciding cases is laughable. How are we able to predict with near 100% accuracy how the liberal judges will rule (given that they never join the conservative wing on highly political cases) on guns, abortion, unions, etc?

+voxman77 Why would a liberal align with the conservative wing on those hot point issues??

Why would a conservative align with the liberal wing on hot point issues? You are proving my point that they are just politicians in robes.

voxman77 Not necessarily. Sotomayor gave credence to the fact that a constructive dissent is better than no recourse at all. Given that their final analysis is primarily based on personal ideology they still have to base that opinion on the constitution.

+voxman77 I never said there was a distinction between the two only that personal ideology has the final say.
