This is like Christmas. I'm a 50-something white grandmother born and raised in the deep south on bluegrass and grits. I just started learning enough about hip hop to understand and appreciate it about two years ago, in large part thanks to the great education I've gotten from youtube folks like AR and Knox. And a friend turned me onto Tech when he found out i was really into genre-bridging and expectation-bending stuff - sent me the Tiny Desk concert and my jaw dropped. I am so mad it took me this long to find out about this man. I didn't understand Eminem or Wayne 20 years ago, but i'd have loved Tech 20 years ago. I have so much respect for this artist. Thank you for the interview, AR!

Amazing! Any time I get to hear more from Tech, on a personal, one on one level makes my day. He has been my favorite artist since his very first album. I am 49 so literally Tech and subsequently, Stange Music Inc as a label has been the majority of my musical history...
