Hey, I play legacy but still prefer pauper most days. You can still outplay someone, and need tight play because one mistake can loose a game, but you get a few extra truns and have to play to the board a lot more than legacy. I always think "legacy light" is not quite the right term, it is more like "constructed limited" with no bomb rares which is an oxymoron but is how it feels playing powerful draft chaft (and a few of the busted cards that aren't banned) which I love.

Hilarious! (also I think pauper's just a really fun format, regardless of budget)

Campfire's second ability does actually do something: it shuffles your graveyard back into your library. So if the game is going long, you can shuffle three self assemblers back into your library, and resume the assembler chain.

Every time you say "Shut the door" I imagine you slamming a door shut like the end of Saw

Deck submitter here. The only changes to make to this deck are to play fourth utter insignificance over fourth crab and find room for another blue source perhaps one of the fetches from mh3.

I don't have enough reps to say for certain but I think the board plan for ubr affinity should be cut golem, trim on repeal, crab, and condescend then bring in 2 relic, 2 hydroblast, 2 exclude, 1 trinket mage. Campfire shuffles your graveyard back into the deck for 3 more self-assemblers, but that's probably not worth it.

@@sammckay1307 As a UB and UBR affinity player (only jumped over because of affinity rat), I think rellic is over-boarding. Tron wins the long game and I generally like it when people bring in graveyard hate against me on affinity since they are generally dead (I only run 2 blood fountain, and I generally never pop them 80% of games). If it is a red build, boad in the hydros, leave in the livegain golems to make the game drag, and just sit and wait for the reach. If you counter the red cards, the deck is 4/4s and a couple of 2/1 flyers and can't win against your main deck. Save the exile if they run a kenku and good look stomping affinity (I have been a tron main for a long time and miss the flicker tron haydays haha).

@@matthewgarcia7308 relic draws a card which Tron doesn't mind doing for 2 mana. The "stock" build(as far as I can tell with decklists being down) is on 3 blood fountains and 4 sneaky snackers and no kenku. I think boshnroll got unlucky game 1 and made a game losing misplay game 2 by not getting desert ASAP.

The reason behind the price of campfire is that it was only on modo in commander masters, and I believe that it was never in treasure chests, so a combination of 1 printing + rarer than normal = high price.

Play Taii Wakeen in commander. Desert means your opponents just cannot attack...

sorcery speed removal is real bad with only one blue source often. The plan is to spend colorless mana on our turn and blue mana on the opponent's. Not saying it's bad but would rather have more hard counterspells or repeal.

I am buying into pauper and after watching all the videos on this deck decided that mono blue tron the deck I want to play. I am just debating if like the izzet build or the eldrazi one better as they both seem pretty cool.

The current meta is better for mono blue. Playing tap lands is rough and the mono u version has the tools to beat most of the breath weapon match ups anyway. Utter insignificance and petrifying meddler has swung the faeries match up.

@@sammckay1307 Yeah thats what i was thinking. My friend going to playing grixis affinity so i may add some annuls in the sideboard (maybe go down a spreading seas or something). Though it just to jam some games at my lgs so looking to play more for fun then anything.

If you deal with power flickering relatively often, have you considered putting your stuff on uniteruptable power supplies? A decent one will give you a few minutes of power to smooth over intermittent drops.

Yes I have those to keep the computer running. They do not keep internet up when the outage affects my ISP though.

@BoshNRoll Oh for sure, I just had my had a lot of issues with local wiring causing issues and it helped. But yeah if it affects the ISP then that sucks.

Tip for the power outages/surges: I recommend a Battery Backup or two. I keep my router and my computer + monitors on them so if the power drops, I have about 8 minutes to save my docs etc. APC makes a number of them. I use the BE650G1. Hope thos helps.
