So my Mom ADORES all things colorful and has recently - just in the last three of four years - grown obsessed with seashells!
Since she is bed-bound and home all day she does what she can to reach out to the world through Facebook and other online forums - and the people she meets are SO AMAZINGLY KIND!! Almost every seashell that you see here were sent to her by amazingly friendly people she met online.
At one point people would record videos of collecting the shells for her at the beach and send them to her - it cheered her up so much to see the ocean she loves, even though she's in her bed in Missouri all day. I can't thank them enough and love cooing over her collection every time I go so that I can celebrate the kindness of hundreds of strangers in bringing color, beauty, and bits of joy to my mother's life.

The way you treat your mother is amazing. You're so kind and polite to her whilst also giving out fantastic content for your viewers! I admit, I was just here for the shells, but I believe you are such a wonderful person from just this video, which shows allot. Wish you enjoy the rest of your time in this world, you deserve it 💕
Seri your mothers shells are the most pretty things your mom sounds so sweet!
All those shells would make a beautiful book for the coffee table.
Ohhhh seri your mama sounds so sweet and gentle and she just sounds like the sweetest little angel !!
I came to this video for my love of shells. Was totally not expecting to fall in love with your mom's sweetness! Sending so much love to her and blessings for her health. You said that she has an infectious personality-you inherited yours from her!!!
I like how you talk about your mom being an artist and then immediately in the next clip she says "texture and patterns" 😂😂 family resemblance? lol it's truly mind blowing to see her collection like this. thanks for sharing!
Oh her shells are beautiful. I'm a shell collector also. They are just make me feel good.
Shells are one of my favorite things in nature. I wish I lived closer to a beach area and could search for them in person.
Your mom is SO SWEET she is so kind and she has so many sea shells from all around the world, I'm happy that she has this hobby to keep her entertained and you're soooo kind seri! I love how you're so kind and patient with your mom

I've never seen so beautiful shells 🐚 and never thought how different shells they could be out there
Jane here. Thank you ladies for sharing this beautiful seashell collection. You are all so blessed by the way your family is so tightly tied together with love.❣️ I have a small seashell collection that started with the shells I inherited from my dad. I like the different ways your mom has displayed them, in jars and bowls. May God continue to bless your journey together.
I can hear the love in your voice and your families voices as you talk and share things! It is awesome to see that you are carrying on with the things that your parents enjoyed too! I am so glad to hear your mom in these videos too! She has an incredible wealth of knowledge about those shells!! ❤️
Your mom is so blessed, I have tried making it to the beach for a few years now for my birthday,Ocracoke island is on my most wanted place to go! All her shells are so beautiful!! lol makes me want to hitchhike to the beach! 💕❤️🐚
That is so awesome to know there's great people out there that care to send beautiful gifts
A beautiful collection. I have one just as big, probably bigger. I started collecting them about 45 years ago. I am still so amazed by their form, color, and beauty. Good for her and for you for having such an amazing Mom! It's great that she has passed on her appreciation for nature and seashells to you.

I just wanna hug her for being so incredibly awesome and excited by nature ❤️ Would you please thank her for showing us her collection for us? It was super amazing to see all of the different types ^.^ How she remembers the names of so many, I'll never understand 😄

Pardon me, what or who is shellcade ?. Is it a market or shop ?.🐚
I LOVE seashells! I'm very far away from the ocean so I don't get to really collect them often but every time I end up on the beach I go hunting for shells (and fun rocks and weird sea weed and even interesting bits of trash that washed up).
Your moms voice is so sweet!! I really like her and I love the shells that she has!!
Wow! Just WOW! I'm impressed.. I wish I could be that lucky as she is! Seashells are one of my favorite things, I have some little seashells from Black Sea and Ionic Sea (Zakynthos more exactly) but none of them are so beautiful and colorful. Oh.. thank you so much for this video. Much love from Romania! ^^
Lovely collection ,Thanks for sharing ,Mom is GREAT
Seashells come from invertebrate animals (meaning they have no backbone or spinal cord) and your mom's seashells are very nice. My favorite is the sea urchin's shell :) I also have a seashell collection and I will be posting it in my KZread channel. Thanks for sharing your mom's seashell collection! :)
I have a similar hobby to our mother, if you need help identifying what they are, I can help. The orange starfish is a Pisaster ochraceus, it comes from the Pacific coast of North America and I think I saw a Cypreacassis testiculus at 3:21, it was the orange shell in the same box as your mothers red Fan Scallop and it lives around the Caribbean. The bubble shell I probably would be able to Identify if you showed me the underside, right now I am thinking Aplustrem amplustre which lives around the Pacific and Indian Ocean from Hawaii, to Japan to South Africa. While you were showing the Coral at 6:11, I saw a Tonna dolium, a type of carnivorous Tun or Cask shell. At 7:36, the Sand Dollar is a Mellita tenuis and the Sea Biscuit, looks like a Clypeaster Rosaceus or Europacificus and the ones in the jar look like Mellita quinquiesperforata. The big flat one at 8:39 looks like some sort of Mesopeplum or Nodipecten. At 9:07, yes, they are Wentletraps. At 9:25, these Echinoid tests look like a Salmacis sphaeroides, if not then maybe a Temnopleurus alexandri from Australia, definitely in the family Temnopleuridae. At 11:46, the box has some Mellita quinquiesperforata and two Arbacia lixula, a Mediterranean species which made its way to Brazil. At 13:50, the biggest shell at the back looks like its in the Genus Cassis, maybe a Cassis tuberosa. At 14:45 you have a Nodipecten fragosus. The purple ones shortly after look like Janthina janthinas. I would give almost anything to get my hands on some of the shells your Mother has, you are very lucky and so is your Mother, please tell her that for me.
Those are some beautiful sea shells your mom has collected! She seems sooo knowledgeable on sea shells and were they came from! Wonderful video.
Your mom ain't the only person obsessed with the beauty of seashells :) Awesome collection!
I’d love to send your Mum some shells from the Australian coast! My dad also freedives and my mum makes jewellery out of sea glass, driftwood and shells he finds and they would love to give some stuff as well. Sending love from Australia ❤️❤️

How utterly cool !!!! I will not ever see the sea again, but got to once in North Carolina. I would love hear about them. I'm a lady in my 60's in Missouri, USA.
So when you said your mother collected shells I didn't realise she'd have *that* many. They're all so pretty. That's amazing. I'd love to start up a collection of my own someday :D I think the blue/grey ones at 12:26 are my favourite.

It would be hard to choose a favorite one !. I began a collection with my Mom when I was ten. One Christmas they got me a book to Identify shells. I had my whole collection and the book in a popcorn can, and while we were moving it was stolen. I'm so enjoying this... I can name many of them. Her Mom picked out lots of wonderful shells for her !. The colorful bivalve in the plastic square bag in those Her Mom gave her was so neat !. I am disabled, too. I loved her Junonia !. Thanks from a Midwesterner with saltwater in her blood !.
Oh wow! They're all beautiful! Greetings from the Philippines! The beaches in my city are polluted though. Can't find amazing shells like those there.
Wow Seri there all so beautiful! I'm so glad your vlogging more. I'm so glad someone else gets so excited about all the little and large treasures that nature has to offer us. Lots of love --Julie
Shelling Envy.. Definitely shell envy's what I feel right now. Those shells are sooo pretty... ❤
These are absolutely beautiful!!
That is such a treasure! They all are so unique and special!
Wow! Beautiful collection!
I love collection of sea shell I always collect it when I go to beach
Oh. My. Goodness. Just a glimpse into that sea shell collection and I'm already in love. Your mother is a woman after my own heart. I LOVED collecting sea shells down by the beach when I was a kid! I'd take at least one everyday from the shore after school and within the years I spent living there I'd built up a HUMONGOUS collection! It was nowhere near as big as your mum's of course, and definitely didn't have such rare and breathtakingly stunning shells, but it was something I truly loved. I'm not nearly as knowledgeable about shells as your mother seems to be, but I reckon we'd gush for HOURS over every single pretty little shell in existence if by some miracle we ever met! =D Thank you for sharing this utterly beautiful collection Seri! This truly made my night!! SHELLS~

Amazing collection. I am only just now starting out. Nautilus are my faves and mostly I have those. I will focus on the biggest shells first as those fascinate me. Your mom has a nice nautilus and art of them.

I love them, too. Most shells are from the bivalves. Gastropods are next, who look like snails. The Nautilis are a squid like tentacled creature. To blow your mind, look up videos on youtube. Also the Argonauts in their glass like boats. Good luck collecting !.

Amazing collection ! I strive for something simmilar. Really great ! I am from eastern Europe and have been collecting shells, seastars and corals for some time but they are hard to get ( the rare ones ) I ussually put a post on salesgroup on internet and ask for people to sell them to me and most of the time they are junk. Recently I found out that the best places are antique markets that happen in our country. The idea is that there are places where people sell all kind of junk that is used - thousands of items like chargers, , tools, paintings, toys , jewelry, spoons, knives and so on... most of them junk , but sometimes some sellers have some rare and big pieces, and they sell them very cheaply. for example 3 Euros for a piece of a 4 kg shell. And since none buys them because people consider them junk and without use, I have no competition. I have seen some people buy rare pieces on facebook market places for 50 Euros a piece, so there are some collectors like me, but not many. And again, great collection ! I am simply amazed, I have nowhere near as many rare shells as you have. Best of luck to you. - Toms. :)
Wow wonderful collections of yours. it was really a 😍 beautiful shells 🐚!!! which I myself have millions of collections too 😊. Thanks for this awesome video. great job.

Omg!These are so nice! Thank you for sharing.I wish I could one or 2 of these.I collect but I have nothing as nice as these.
I love you're Mom's shell collection! I love shelling but unable to get to any Beaches.. I just lost my fiancee passed away on June 17th..
Extremely beautiful
yay 😊
You guys should put the hermit crab shells back, hermit crabs have a very hard time finding new shells, and taking them off the beach can cause hermit crabs to die out in a very slow and painful way, I dont want to be that person but those shells are apart of an important ecosystem and hermit crabs have been finding it harder and harder to find new homes so they end up having to leave their small shells if they can find a big enough shell in time.
Beautiful collection ! :D
