Careful there, not ALL republicans, I am and have been a registered Republican and myself I have been repulsed by Trump since he came down that damned escalator. Nothing Trump has done has done anything to raise my opinion. In point of fact, any elected Republican individual who claimed there was election fraud should be stripped of their dignity and booted from office. Trump himself should damn well be prosecuted.

I love Colbert but I'm starting to feel like just making jokes about Jan6 is starting to normalize one of, if not the worst day in our democracy. We have literally thousands of people willing to commit treason to take over the country, lead by a pathologically narcissistic grifter, enabled by sycophantic congressional representatives willing to do anything to stay in power. This is not normal people. We cannot let this become normal.

Halfway through the sentence I was so certain that was going to be the line that I'm convinced he may have flubbed it. Still, a really good monologue overall.

You gotta admire his tenacity. Crazy he's never thought of using those powers for good.
