At this point any Republican or Trump supporter who claims to be a "patriot" or "pro-America" is a laughable yet dangerous contradiction.

Careful there, not ALL republicans, I am and have been a registered Republican and myself I have been repulsed by Trump since he came down that damned escalator. Nothing Trump has done has done anything to raise my opinion. In point of fact, any elected Republican individual who claimed there was election fraud should be stripped of their dignity and booted from office. Trump himself should damn well be prosecuted.

I love Colbert but I'm starting to feel like just making jokes about Jan6 is starting to normalize one of, if not the worst day in our democracy. We have literally thousands of people willing to commit treason to take over the country, lead by a pathologically narcissistic grifter, enabled by sycophantic congressional representatives willing to do anything to stay in power. This is not normal people. We cannot let this become normal.

Genius Mr Colbert 😂🤣💖😍
Scammy Doofus Jr LOL that is a good one.
So many people can be held criminally accountable… they could take out half the party at this rate! But can they arrest them all… because there’s just SO many, or will they have to arrest them all to stop this behaviour happening again? I guess when Trump said he would ‘drain the swamp’ he meant he’d take them all down with him.

Not going to happen and you socialist Dems are going to get your asses handed to you at the mid-terms and the 2024 Presidential, by Trump or DeSantis. We aren't going to let you destroy our economy and divide us socially anymore than you have.
The writers of Steven Colbert are geniuses while Steven delivers it magically perfectly for us to all laugh
Oh thank you so much for the conspiracy/riot dance moves ! Gave me a much needed laugh as did the rest of the monologue.
Eric Herschmann's testimony is hysterical. Donoghue also delivered some blunt truths, "...we'll call you if there's an oil spill." LOL!
Missed joke opportunity: "I hear the brownshirts here *are to die for.*

Halfway through the sentence I was so certain that was going to be the line that I'm convinced he may have flubbed it. Still, a really good monologue overall.
You gotta admire his tenacity. Crazy he's never thought of using those powers for good.
3:25...TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE.....sick sick sick sick, and perfect!
Oh damn it, he says "I told Jeff , why don't you go back to your office and we'll call you when there's an oil spill".
Geez, this monologue of Stephen’s is so clever and well delivered. Great work from all involved.

This is worse than Watergate! Former president voldemoron couldn't handle losing an election that he tried to overthrow our democracy because, of his fragile ego plus, incited an insurrection in his final attempt to hold on to power! Nixon at least resigned before he got impeached!

Unfortunately, all the deluded cultists ignore reality, especially the hearings. Nobody who needs to hear the testimonies is even listening, because they are all either guilty or denuded, I mean deluded.
Only Colbert can make really serious stuff hilarious.
