Very helpful video. Don't own an astra or have an A/C issue but do suffer from insomnia and have to say this video has changed my life.. less than thirty seconds and I'm out like a light. If any one can tell me what happens after he takes the cover off the fuse box I'd really appreciate it.

Good Video, mrs went for a regass the other day and the garage turned round and said she needed a new compressor @500+ Since the compressor isn't seized I'm certain it's just the clutch that needs doing . Naughty garage! Thanks for the info, should be a breeze with what you've shown.

Great explanation. Just done it myself, took me 6 hours. Finally got it after getting some propper pliers. I tested the part on the cable in the car, it worked fine. After installing it did not work. Anyone know if it might be a bad wire?

absolutely fantastic video. Loved watching you diagnose everything so methodlically from start to finish. Are you a mechanic by trade?

Yes but never needed to change a clutch before, as it was my own car £40 for the clutch was much cheaper than a whole compressor

Does this magnetic clutch engaged all the time or it go on and off when it’s cold inside the car ?!

Should do the most common cause of an AC compressor cycling on and off is an issue with the refrigerant pressure inside the AC system. If the refrigerant pressure is either too low or too high, it will cause the compressor to cycle on and off in an effort to maintain the proper pressure within the system.

Did you pick up the car? Was it standing on wheels? The video shows the jack
