I absolutely hate hearing people say well your nit picking. We definitely should be. 300 dollars these things cost. Which means EVERYTHING should be accurate. Any company that holds themselves at the top of a category are there for a reason. Imagine Rolex telling people it's gold when it's gold plated. Tesla saying it's electric but it needs a little gas. I Agree! This was a huge drop of quality compared to other Hot Toy releases & we shouldn’t be afraid to say it how it is!

Having read the comments before watching the video, I expected to disagree with you. I can’t disagree - your observations are spot on. I customised my Hot Toys Delorean to Part 2, and it’s a shame that these figures do not live up to the quality of the car.

I usually give hot toys passes because there’s always something great that comes with the overall figure. But this one is just a complete let down. The Delorean looks awesome! Even the new one, but now there’s a jarring quality difference between the whole line.

I really appreciate your honest facts criticism. Too many kids out there get unhappy at honest criticism.

Agreed. I didn’t buy Doc from Part II, so I’m getting this one. But that head sculpt is a lazy, lackluster move by HT. When we shell out $300 plus dollars…we deserve a new head sculpt.

thank you for telling it like it is. I waited so friggin' long for this figure so I'm shocked that I must PASS on Doc...we all know when we are spending this amount of money for a collectible- it needs to ROCK! this is a smack in the face on so many levels when I'm sure they could have done so much better. for this kind of $$ I'm shocked how many times I hear people say this is AWESOME when it sucks. unless this is a really clever time travel joke HT intends to blast in and fix for us all, I PASS... thank you

Yeah it’s a huge disappointment. I’m going to customise it to make it more accurate, but I would not advise people to do that. We don’t buy high end collectables to alter them. BTTF is my last hot toys line (unless they make diverse movies/characters) & once I’m done I’m never looking back at them.

I like the honest review. They did us dirty with the plotonium box ☣️

Hot toys has just released another spiderman no way home figure, with a brand new head sculpt! I mean .. now we have a ton of Tom Holland Head Sculpts, but they just couldn't do justice to Doc Brown which is a legendary character, that's what I simply don't get, and fully agree with you, sneaking a last minute change of materials is a scumbag move

Yep, Hot Toys aren’t doing a good job hiding bias with their products. Just wait for another BTTF anniversary & they’ll do a bare minimum change too a reissue Doc. Like I said if it’s not Disney they don’t care.

Nothing wrong with an honest opinion, I'm disappointed with the things you have pointed out, for the money all of these should be fixed, if there was a second headsculpt, maybe you could excuse reusing the one included, and surely HT buy bodies in bulk, so no excuse for single bend elbows. Thanks for saving me money on a figure I would be very disappointed in!

Let’s also put our disappointments to one side, why are Hot Toys using translucent neck pegs? Neca done this in the early 2000s & all their figures broke as a result to it, why Hot Toys done this is beyond me. So not only is this a lazy inaccurate figure, it could potentially break in the future.

The worst part of it is that Neca has a better Doc Brown sculpt on a $20 figure.

@@BrandonNielsen87 Yep, probably the best human likeness Neca has done. Its impressive how accurate it is for a 7 inch figure. The accessories are on point as well. If they ever did a Delorean I think a lot of Hot Toys owner would abandon ship.

In case you didn't notice the scene when the lid is lifted, the case has a Radioactive sign on the inside of the lid. That's what the stickers are for.

100% this figures a huge disappointment.

HT did a bait and switch with the case. Also the collectors are to blame for continually accepting HT diminishing of quality material. HT has been around long enough to have moved passed single joints, unacceptable.

Yep I agree, I ordered this before the bad changes & I wanted to get this review out to show people a different viewpoint. Hot Toys have been really lazy as of late & it needs to be said & shown! I love BTTF, but Idk if I want to even support HT after this & complete the line, it’s fkn disappointing!

Hot Toys really dropped the ball on this one. 😡 They should really have made a DX of it since they will probably never ever release this again, like they do with TDK Batman, for example. If you decide to get the part 3 ones, please share your thoughts as well..👍

How did NECA make a better head sculpt than Hot toys. I’m actually so confused on how a 30 dollar 7 inch figure is way better than a 12 inch 300 dollar figure. The NECA head sculpt is almost spot on. This hot toys figure is a disappointment.

Hot Toys just couldn’t be bothered IMO. They most likely rushed the production because Japan had a anniversary event for BTTF & HT saw dollar signs instead of making a quality figure.

Never heard someone pronounce trilogy as trill-ology...it's always trill-a-gee. But now that I'm learning even more American mispronounciations like the word Adidas that's bastardized so badly, you're probably absolutely right with how you pronounce trilogy.

Damn man, I've had this figure on pre-order since day one. I literally just found out a few minutes ago it was even out already. What really pisses me off the most is when you pre-order 1/6 figures, you have to put down a pretty hefty NON-REFUNDABLE down payment, like $25/35. So when they do this bullshit fucking con artist move on us, how the fuck are we supposed to collect our money back if we cancel? Guess that's all a part of the whole... _*Prototype shown. Final product may vary._ shite. Well, guess they can't say they didn't warn us. It's just really fucking appalling with how little of a shit they give about non disney & dc movie stuff. Thank god for 3rd party companies that make all these iconic film characters that are part of the other 99.9% of movies & TV...more accurate at a cheaper cost.

You are the anti-justin and you are right to be pissed. It is a lazy move on the head sculpt and cheap with the plutonium case. Dean tolliver studios do an amazing doc sculpt. Somebody showed it with rooted hair and it looked stunning. Makes this look piss poor in comparison. I will wait and see if present toys recast this one or the tolliver sculpt. The remote looks nice but single bend elbows is crazy on a clothed figure, would like to see the figure stripped down to see what body they repurposed. That and lack of gloves and hands says it all. Really cgeap things they could of added and will probably add with a 2.0 version someday. I don't blame you for quitting hot toys they are overpriced and dont blow my socks off anymore. Maybe we are spoilt by better past releases and what other 3rd party "hungry" companies and artists are producing. I guess its to be expected with such a mainstream company that have so many licenses and properties to cover that quality control and reusing bodies sculpts parts are par for the course. The transparent plastic on the neck connecter is a very cheap move too. Not a major deal if and when it snaps as it will if its anything like the robocop shoulder joints but another sign if cost cutting and using cheaper materials. New collecters will say we are just bitter and pissing on their chips but its a fair complaint.

I’ve bought Deans Doc Head-sculpt & will be doing a complete custom video soon! I’m also swapping out the body so we’ll see what HT used underneath. Also a replacement plutonium box! But honestly I wouldn’t recommend doing this, as I’ve said this is most likely my last Hot Toy so I want to leave with some satisfaction & continue 1/6 elsewhere!

Not for most peoples budget but that will look amazing once finished 👍I have the present toys on the way and will either mod the original body which is alot of work or swap it for the ganghood v2 body. I also have the v2 marty to compare side by side and havnt even unboxed it yet. I'm seriously thinking of selling it as i'm not keen on the head sculpt from vids and pics i've seen. Slept on the 1st release and then it skyrocketed and got this one relatively cheap with a small profit if I sell it on. If the present toys one scratches my marty itch i'll be happy with it even if the sculpt again is not perfect. Big difference in price in fact half the price of what some are asking on the v2 marty. Definately will be my first hot toys figure in many years and probably my last. 3rd party companies are doing it as well if not better with characters I want. Will sub to see that doc update😉

Justin's collection your not! I stopped watching him for two reasons his voice is annoying and he kisses arse on every figure! You sir are a breath of fresh air, I am also a massive fan of the BTTF movies I don't have any of the HT versions because there just not very good! I agree with you that the greedy HT corporation have become an expensive Disney store! I miss there silver age around the 2014 era even then they were repeating mistakes (ED209) he's fixable but we shouldn't have too! I've stopped purchasing from them and subbed to you looking forward to more videos 😎

Ive been watching Justin for a while, he seems like a passionate collector. I think majority of collectors try to sugarcoat & validate lazy figures because money was spent. 2010-2016 was prime Hot Toys years!

@@Its_COZZY I agree that was when they did there best work! My favourite figures are the quarter scale T2 Endoskeletons there beautiful! Also the Robocop and ED209 rubber joints and dome weren't the best idea and watching it rot is heartbreaking ! He can be fully restored but it takes time and if they had used the right materials there figures could have lasted for decades! Are you going to pick up the DeLorean ?

The 1/4 Endo & DX08 are my favourite Hot Toys! Literally no customisation is needed they’re perfect & will stand the test of time. I’m most likely not picking up the delorean, rather spend that cash on InArt to be honest! LMAO!

Agreed! Both could be better. I think some elements on the Marty 1.0 are better, especially the hair sculpt!

If you want a better product then you are going to pay a much Higher price.

I am OK with being critical but when you spend the first 6 minutes complaining about a figure you have not even opened yet already taints the review as being biased. Next time, I would place your Hot Toys rant at the end. It is like telling the ending of the story at the beginning.

Not a very good review in my opinion. Sounds like the reviewer holds a grudge against hot toys. So who’s to say he’ll give a fair review. Why review a product for a company you seem to dislike? Anyway, as you were.

I’ve known Hot Toys since 2008 & I’m disappointed knowing what they can do with collectables. Just out of curiosity, tell me one thing I said that isn’t valid criticism. Like I said in the video, Hot Toys are so much more than mediocre!

I just got mine today…2nd hot toys figure for me, Marty was my 1st. First thing I noticed was his face and unaware to hot toys I quickly looked for the 2nd head…😂 Overall I’m not too critical about all the accuracy in the accessories but man they could have made this guy look way better! I second sculpt with a better expression would be more Delux-ish

For a 300 dollar figure thats pretty bad lol the neca one is top notch.
