Flipping the car over to reach the wheel brackets seems like the safest way to pull the wheels out

Yes I took notes from Danoby2 -- just make sure you have it on something soft like pillows so nothing else breaks

Glad to see your replacement came out ok my dude. I just opened mine the other day after having it sit in the box for like 2 weeks 😅 fortunately, the only thing wrong with mine was the passenger seat came unglued right out of the box (an easy fix). I followed the same thing with pulling out the wheels upside down and didn’t roll them. That was really good advise, no breaks or stress marks 👍🏽

Excellent, methodical problem solving video. And without all of the drama of the other guy. Looks like 3 clicks and applying gentle pulling force to the axle portion of the mechanism will do the trick. And thanks for showing the wheel rotation. I was wondering how they would allow it to rotate and not break the electrical connection. Pretty creative solution, actually. Mine is coming from Australia to US so seeing this is very helpful. Thanks!!!😎

@user-dk3up2nl1m my first delorean had a broken axel. Second had bad light up features and the 3rd was perfect lol

Probably best to loosen those screws in the corner first before flipping the wheels down.

Agreed, if the wheels offer some resistance. I read/saw somewhere that in some cases these screws were over-torqued.

Having not received my DeLorean mk2 yet, where are these 4 screws that you mentioned? Are they on the struts or on the back side of the wheel hub? Thanks! BTW great unboxing videos and cautionary info.! Thanks. Will you be getting a Marty and Doc to display with your DeLoreans?

@@Collection_Obsession the screws that hold the ‘control arm’ to the ‘axle’. Basically the black ones on one side that hold the strut assembly together. But only loosen those slightly and carefully so as not to strip them. If they were over-torqued you might see a stress crack. Choose your screwdriver with care. Also note the one located closest to the center of the vehicle may be hard to reach, so try the three that are furthest away. The wheels should flip down without much resistance. I didn’t have to loosen mine but that doesn’t mean you won’t have to and its a good precaution. As for Marty I have the Marty 2.0 with Einstein but no Doc (yet). Soon I hope!

I had the same experience with the front it was as dark as the mk1.

Nope this is 1/6 scale! Hot Wheels / Matchbox is 1/64 scale 🙂

I have a question for you if they were to do another back to the future movie what version of the delorean would you like to see again? The version from part 1 with the plutonium chamber or the Mr. Fusion version with the flight capabilities in part 2 or the version from part 3 with the 1950's tires or the train wheels on the train tracks?

Definitely Part 2 with hovermode and Mr. Fusion! Always been my fave version of the DeLorean. Let’s face it, when the Time Machine appeared at the end of Part 1 with its new hover conversion and Mr. Fusion, it had truly reached it’s peak in terms of overall sci-fi coolness, badassery, and perfection. The other versions are cool but are either just precursors of what’s to come, or salvaged versions of what used to be. Go hover, or go home (to 1985) 😅

@@DeLoreanTECH Same here with me in wanting to see the version from part 2 with the hover mode making a comeback if they ever did another back to the future movie. I hated the version from part 3 which for me was a complete downgrade from part 2 and definitely not a fan of the flying train at the end of part 3

Hot toys built this like absolute shit!!! Bad form on their part.
