I really would like it if people would not use "taxes" as a justification for why a player would decline/take a trade. If Paul George were to move to Houston he's going to get walloped by top 10 worst state property taxes & sales taxes. If a player was really worried about taxes they'd play in Wyoming, or south Dakota, or New Hampshire, and to lessor extent Tennessee....... oh wait.... none of these places have professional basketball teams. At the end of the day you're going to pay to live in a big metropolitan area.

Property tax doesn't really matter if someone isn't buying a house there. Why would PG buy a house in Houston if he's only there short term? He's from LA, has a podcast there, and will likely go back when he retires. And sales tax in Houston is still cheaper than CA, theirs is like 8.25% compared to 9.5% in LA
