A Beautiful and Thriving Ecosystem! │ Woodland Pond Ecosphere - 6 Month Update

In this video we take a look at the Woodland Pond Ecosphere. It has been 6 months since it's creation and a lot has happened since then. This ecosphere has a good selection of diversity in organisms, which are shown in this video.
In this video we can see a lot of plant growth. The ecosphere looks fantastic and is probably one of my favorites. The starwort looks extremely healthy, however the duckweed does appear to be on the decline. I believe this is due to being outcompeted for nutrients.
Animals I didn't expect to find have made an appearance such as the European Fingernail Clam (Sphaerium corneum) and Globular Springtails (Sminthurides aquaticus). This is the first time I've ever seen these species inside one of my ecospheres before so i was really excited to upload this video.
Overall I'm very pleased with this ecosystem and it's progress. The ecosphere is not only beautiful, but biodiverse. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome! I love this ecosphere and i hope you love it too!

I was originally going to thank everyone for 1000 subscribers when I uploaded this weeks video. Before I could make a video I then hit 2000 subs, which is insane! I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all my subscribers for supporting my channel, liking my videos and subscribing. I love creating content for you guys and it brings me a lot of happiness knowing people appreciate the work I put into my videos. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the video above. There is much more content coming in the future. You guys are awesome!

Jartopia is a genuine content creator. instead of trying to pull them down, you could have just listed some other channels people who like jartopia would be into. it would be a better way to reach people, and support those other channels in a nice way. I agree with Firefox. Boogie Camel, what’s your problem? People can make good content even if someone else does too. This channel is amazing, I had to read it again when I saw “you don’t deserve the subscribers that you have”. It’s ok if you don’t like the video, but you don’t have to publicly insult the creator.

  • @CaioRodrigues001

It’s really simple, I did one myself. U need to go to a ecosystem near u like in a park (water ecosphere are easier to beginners). Then u get some materials: Something to grab dirt A cup A jar with a lock 1 step Grab dirt from the pond, some algae, moss and other plants (doing a little research about this ecosystem will help u too (: ). Step 2 Grab water from the pond ( a lot! If it is too much you can simply throw away in the pond again) Step 3 Go home and put the dirt then the plants and then put the water. The animals are going to appear after 2 or 3 days when the water clears up (they will be hiding in the dirt or in the water) Step 5 Leave on the window to get sunlight and you are done (:

Amazing video Jartopia! I can`t believe that you have both clams AND a stable population of snails. It`s always good to see large organisms like this in these jar ecosystems.

You should make an ecosystem with creatures that has vertebrate like tiny fish species or tiny reptile species and so on. Edit:Please do a ecosphere with vertebrate not Invertebrates like the rest of your ecosphere's.

these vidoes make me want to get a jar and do this, like imagine taking dirt and grass from a pond and just plopping it into a jar, then watching like things form and grow over years, is that like even possible ?

Well... I discovered this channel a few days ago while loosing myself on KZread during a hangover. And now I'm fascinated as a kid looking at a dude experimenting biotops on canned jars. Now I'm an addict, it's surprisely fun :D Best. Hangover. Ever.

Found your channel from YT's recommended. Absolutely love your videos, your channel is so interesting, man, I feel I'm a kid again by watching and feeling impressed by the flora and fauna you show in your small labs of life! The music is so relaxing... I can't describe it, I really feel like a child again, thank you, for real.

So you got 5k in a day ? Well you deserve it. Everything is pertinent, peaceful. You're sharing this content with humility and I sure appreciate that. That's the 3rd of your vids in a row that I'm watching and I'm still curious, liked, subscribed and shared with my girlfriend (she might like it even more and ask that we start our own ecosperes haha).
