A BADLY Designed Swarm Box Catches a Swarm....But a LOT of Wasted Effort by the Honey Bees!!! 😕

Ойын-сауық

This video shows moving a swarm from a badly designed box to a 3 story 5 frame nuc box. They were only in the box about 3 days before I had time to move them, but it was sad to see all the wasted effort by the bees during this short time.
To see how they were doing a couple of weeks later, check out this video......(note - they weren't the "good" hive)....😉

Keith, I would suggest that the design of your trap is spot on. I normally put only one frame with foundation . The other four with a starter strip for the bees to build comb . Great video

That was a lot of bees in the swarm box. Also a very nice Bamboo Forest too.
