999cc V Twin Revive ~ 60 FT-LBS of Torque!!!
Ойын-сауық
Today we drag the Manco Silver Fox that we installed a 999cc Duromax V-Twin on. We bent the axle on this buggy so today we revive it with a new axle and bearings. Once fixed we take it out and beat on it in the trails! This thing has so much low end power its amazing. Stay tuned where we install a full dual a arm front suspension on this kart.

Thank you for the support!
It's crazy how good that V-Twin sounds!
If you had water in the oil, it would be in the bottom of the sump. If you haven't run it, it would not be mixed in the oil to make it milky.
So pumped to see RE-verse. Great job love the extensions. Turning out your own is where it's at. God bless.
Sounds mint can't wait to see the front steering & suspension set-up. 👍
That kart just eats the ground, and it sounds awesome! Love this build!
Really like the sound for that motor.
Can’t wait until see it finished that’s a bad boy!
HOLY BALLS!!!! Sound amazing guys!! Love It!!!

Hello RBG good to see you on this wonderful day! God bless 🙌
great video loved the end
Please make more videos of the 999cc, great video as always red Beard!
This looks fun!!! 😂
Looks fun
That sounded great!
th v twin sound is wow ❤️
I like the addition of the voice overdub.
It took a minute for my eyes to understand the movements the motor was doing, with the swing arm. When you first see it from behind, it looks like the motor wasn’t tightened down. When you finish the front end, and the rear end independent suspension with reverse. It’s going to be a unit for sure,without question. I think it’s going to be the unit that you and buddy like the best. P.s. I’d like to see this motor on the last cart you built. I think that’s the best cart you have built to date.
That's a COOL build!! Thank you gentlemen great work Sir

Glad you like it
That thing is a beast! The accelerator pump carb will rock. The gearing is perfect, with you it never really came out of low range. With him in it, it would spin the tires and then you see the CVT doing its thing. So on good road it is going to have the entire CVT range to get you up to cruising speed. Torque is king and just like 1 liter + bikes on the highway, displacement gets it done.

How fast you recon that can go on the street? I woukd maybe close to 50mph no problem.
Love the sound of it, noticed the crank pulley needs to have the weights adjusted so it can get a higher top speed. :)
999 the NEW number of the beast !!!
This is awesome
Reminds me of the go karts in the movie heavy weights.
Redbeardism of the day. If it ain't movin it ain't doin nothin.
I'd love to see you mess around with the English wheel and make a custom gas tank.
Just what we been waiting for ! Can't wait to see results after build on the Dyno ,can you get upgrades for this engine and I wonder what this would be like in a road bike Frame ?
Sorry for the delay had to wait till I was off, I can only watch this channel on the big screen
Coolest sounding go-cart, ever. Cant beat a v-twin.
With all that torque I think she'd do good with some 28" tall tires on it. Keep it lower geared so it can be a good woods crawler. :)
If you can mount that motor still wear it took to the frame and put twin I-beams on the rear end. It won’t beat that bumper on a metal bar back there and ride comfortable just like across card are you gonna do
I've got 2 predator 212cc engines sitting in the garage from my first attempt at a mini bike. Im going to try to make another one at some point this year.
So in my option you are the man when it comes to small engine performance. Always have been. I have seen other KZreadrs test octane in small engines and it seems that more octane doesn’t necessarily mean more power. Can you test different fuels with your different builds? I believe the better the build the higher the octane you need but I don’t know. Love to see some numbers. Always love what you do Red Beard!!
@thorfinsky1427

That's because more octane isn't going to give you more power.
It would be awesome if that v twin could Rev higher. Sounds like it's got alot of torque but it seemed to be bouncing off the limiter the whole time. Still a cool build. 💪🏻
Love to see a build using a motorcycle small twin like a Ninja 300/400 or Yamaha R3, 40hp that will rev at 12000rpm all day, mini lightweight crosskart style.
Hey Mr. red Baron what do you need to do is build you a crash cart frame and it’ll be a lot stronger and better and you’ll have twin frames in the back as it is in the front and you can drive faster and better
Doesn't look like its rmp ing enough to pull the belt in. Looks like fun !
Waiting for the 54 in this color!
V-Torque just kicked in yo..
Dats dat gravy wit duh extra beef 🥩 😋
All you have to do is put one coat of primer on that go cart and it would look 100 times better the next time you pull it out of your yard. Right now it looks like a 20 year old frame with a new motor attached to it.
I wish I had a V twin engine too. We can't afford it
I wonder if it would do better with a lighter spring in the rear pulley (to keep it lugged down more) and also a od ratio cvt (unless it already has one) seams like it has the torque for more gear and would like the cvt to be more loaded down.
The yallow fuel.
That beard is more rust orange than red. My gf has true fire red
This makes me want to find a harley frame to put one on lol

That would be so awesome!!!!!
Great video. Keep up the great work Red Beard when is more dyno content coming
He red beard love your videos. My favorites are the golf cart videos. I want to purchase a used broken engine/ battery cart. Drop in a predator engine in it. Can you make a video on what carts are easiest to modify? and do you have a preference on aftermarket availability when it comes to the big 3 Yamaha club car and ez go? I understand Yammy has independent suspension and that's why I'm leaning towards finding one. Also is it easier to convert one that already has a gas motor? im assuming electric are direct drive without a clutch torque converter. Thanks
I feel like that limiter is shorting you of like 3000 rpms of extra fun. Sounds great tho
Put this engine into an bike frame pls ... I searched whole KZread couldn't find an vdo somebody doing it ... And love the way make so detailed videos it would be appreciated if make such a build
Should get rid of the rev limiter sounds so good put that motor on a mini bike you got yourself a harley ❤
Hello and thanks for all the interesting videos! I'm planning to use a Mikuni(copy) VM34 on a Vtwin 999cc. What main jet and pilot jet should I start with?
You really need a garage for your projects

We are hoping to build a lean to on the shop for all the projects to be stored.
Can that setup pull any amount of weight say a wood car with a load of firewood? Thought about building a cart for my woodhauling/woodcutting versus a four wheeler
Can you please tell me what I need to move the starter and accelerator to the front like you did?
Love Your Channel.....Love Your Spirit and Energy .....But NOTHING is Going To Make Me Happier Than When You Get The Motor OFF Of The Swingarm (Un-sprung Weight) , And Put It In The Chassis(Sprung Weight :)
Have you figured out if you can use different high rev coils on this block? I’m trying to use this power plant on my gator tail surface drive. But I’d like to be able to rev it to 4600-4800 rpm’s
I came to see the Lifan 24 hp 688 cc cause I'm replacing my Brigs 18 hp opposed IC twin and don't know how Im gonna get my Comet Duster clutch on that straight? 4 x1/125" keyed shaft?? Hmmm?
Thinking of putting one of these in a future "monster cart" golf cart build. Have you looked into any performance mods? Even if no parts are available, im wondering what a gov mod/delete, intake and exhaust porting, unrestricted exhaust, and jetting to match, would probably wake it up considerably.
You should make a good long flat atv track then on another part of it make some jumps and a couple table tops..you have a decent track now but I would make another part of it like a dirt bike track all in one Atv style and bike style that would be cool don't know how much property you go there but I would make a killer track I like the woods there..
Hey buddy like the build. Where did you get that torque converter. I need one for my 999cc and can't find one anywhere.
Can you change the over all gearing to something higher? Since it has a ton of low end. That would help get more speed and less rev limiter .
Sweet 18:47
I would love to ask a question can you buy a transmission and rear end for this motor I don't have a machine shop like you do
Your exhaust was hitting the frame it looked like
Are u gonna do a top speed test on this one? Considering using that engine on a side by side which I think is about the same weight
I like the motorcycle engines 250 and up.
I was wondering if it was possible to combine 2 suppedup 670cc twins into one engine
one thing that making this engine more faster by changenging cam config FROM OHV to OHC, cause by using OHC, it can use more bigger valve like 50mm in valve 45ex valve Diameter cause I'll be honest to the one that using duromax user in Indonesian, local enginnering using 34 in 29 ex for piston that had size 63.5mm - 65mm in motorcycle engine, that actualy that valve for piston around 70mm and this was no joke xD here;s the link
I’ve rode wild mustangs that didn’t buck that hard…lol!!

Lol
I wish someone would make a cheap adjustable rev limiter for these engines. I have a gx610 I want to put a slide carb on, but I want to make sure some idiot (myself included) doesn't over rev it.
Would a mukuni TM33 or TM36 pumper carb be a better option ?
2k you can buy an 80” Harley motor and trans! Or a twin cam 114!
@RedBeardsGarage

You are correct
Howdy red beard, its hard to tell in the vid if your CVT is shifting all the way out or not. Maybe a lighter spring in the secondary would give some more speed and less rev limiter.
@RedBeardsGarage

The engine isn’t getting up in the rpm’s enough to.

If you watch when the second guy is riding, every time it spins the tires the CVT is ready to do its job. The thing has so much torque that they are using 100% powerband to get through the woods (as fast as they can go without hitting a tree). If they ran down the road with it, just as the motor reaches peak hp the CVT is going to THROW that thing to 50-60 miles an hour like it is nothing. Gearing is perfect.

Not sure what the rev limiter is factory set to, but if you want to keep it where it is, then some clutch tuning looks to be the ticket. As I understand it, either heavier weights on the Primary, or heavier spring on the Secondary, to get it to shift out at a little lower RPM.

@@NubsWithGuns IKR. In that forest they are going plenty fast. Trees produce rapid deceleration. Here in the AZ desert I learned long ago not to chase rabbits on my XR350 R. They always win. They sucker you into thinking you are right on one at 70mph, but it is actually a gang of rabbits leading you to a 12 foot wash that you cant make it across. Again...sudden stop.
What happened to the 883 cart I really wanted to see it
How big are those back tires and rims
Are we gonna see the Harley cross kart build again, and the yzf cross kart also
I wonder if I could put that type of engine in a Beatle? Might be fun
I don't like Ford but that's a nice old Ford truck
It sounds awesome but the cost of the convertor pulleys are a huge deterrent.
I think your litle yellow car was on the price is rite in the 80's
Why not run a 1-1/4" axle? Just curious.
@RedBeardsGarage
Жыл бұрын
There not wide enough. I would still brace one though. This is a lot of weight to have that much leverage
Sounds nasty!! It looks like the CVT isn't shifting, though...
Make sure your clutch is bringing the belt all the way to the top so you get high gear
@RF585
7 ай бұрын
Mark your clutches with magic marker to verify that their shifting all the way more weight on the clutch arms will make it shift more aggressively and possibly keep it off the revlimiter
I want one the the whole thing
The only thing I’d worry about is the way the motor has to take all the suspension hits
Did he say $2000 I can put an LS on it for less I'm not sure about clutch or whatever but we'll get to that when we get there
Where did you get that frame or did you fabricate it?

Quantum Machinery Group use discount code RBG if you buy anything!
Can you do a HARBOR FREIGHT V-Twin road to horsepower?
Where is the supercharged buggy? This thing sounds similar
Doesn’t look like the cvt is up shifting much
I have a serious question and I feel like you're the guy to give me the answer I need right now I currently have a Manco Thunderbird which has a 420 chain and there is a 10 tooth clutch and a 72 tooth rear sprocket so I'm assuming I'm a 7.2 to 1 ratio which gives me way more torque than I need it is a 4 by 8 Tire I know I want to bring my gear ratio down however I don't know if I should go with a smaller rear sprocket larger clutch sprocket I don't know which is going to give me a better result hopefully you can help me with this sincerely long-time viewer
@genebond

Either will do it. You could use a little geometry and figure out the max MPH based on the tire circumference, Engine RPM, and gear ratio.
arent you gonna supercharge it?

He will later on.
What’s the top speed roughly? I’m thinking about putting this on a golf cart.
@RedBeardsGarage

That all depends on gearing. This kart probably does 35-40 because of gearing.
I would love for yall to build me a gokart im willing to pay alot and i love watching your vids
You use dip ?
does it have reverse?
maybe its time for a Weber carb??
A Jr dragster carb will let you run methanol or e85
How fast does it go?
