Bro - I didn't realize I watched your videos on different topics throughout the years! Your videos are so informative. I think the first one I saw was with the BMW lifting pucks and then the detailing video. Then a random tesla video when I was deciding between a Model 3 and Y. Now I just saw your Xmaxx video since I just bough one. I also watched your video where you were stuck in a snow squall. The same thing happened to me on my summer tires on my e46. All the way from South Jersey to 153b - now the e46 is garaged for the winter. Just subscribed!

Off topic: love the 3 single garage doors. That’s what we want for our next home that we build is 3 single doors. Looks very nice!

Beautiful specs, and yes that chrono will lit the dashboard up, no need for more yellow. The only disagreement will be the tint on the windows, other than that car looks awesome.

Spot on reasons for selecting the Carrera T. Looks awesome in yellow, looking forward to the new content you share.

Hey Tommy great video. This car looks like the PERFECT daily and def something I’d love to have. I heard the hardware comparisons between the GT3 which are quite impressive. Any chance you know if it has the dry sump out of the GT3s or more oil pick ups? Seems like it could be a great track toy too

It does have a dry sump but I’m not certain on more detail. A few people I know track these and they’re super solid.

Great video. This is how excited I was when I got my T about a year ago. I chickened out and am not driving it in the Boston winter right now but can’t wait to daily drive it when it gets warmer. I am intrigued about your removing the seats to install kids seats - need to look into that. I have a booster for my 7 year old that fits fine, but need to find a solution for my 2 year old. Turning it into a real family would make it perfect!

No on tenting. I have the exact same T with a 137K spec. The interior is all black leather everything so tinting works. Your yellow is meant to be seen & admired.

A great idea! I sold my 996 and miss it and am considering selling my F80 and getting a 991. Also sold my Spec Miata, so looking for a daily, that I can fit my kids in and also track. I think in some respect the F80 would be more fun on the track, but harder on consumables.

Yes, you can get a Porsche OEM "Baby Not Bored" window placard with the gold Porsche emblem. #Classy Thank goodness you got the matching yellow sport chrono. Looks naked without it. You can get 70-80% tint, which is hardly noticeable. You need ceramic tint to prevent the heat from the sun from destroying your interior finishes (leather and plastics) over many years. I would also get ClearPlex for all your cars to protect your windshield when you track your car (like PPF for glass). Rock chips on your windshield over many years will leave a lot of pitting. PPF the whole car....its a freaking 911.

I tinted(15%) mine all round. Tinted not only for privacy but also for UV protection. My 991.2 has H&R lower spring. I think its the lowest so far. Scraped the front splitter and bottom of front wheel liner as well. But it look much better than the OE heights. I'm ok with it plus the replacement cost is not much. LOL...

Don't do the lowering. You'll regret it. I know it "looks cool", but you'll be scraping on every road irregularity, pothole and speed bump. It doesn't improve the handling and compromises the ride. I know from experience with a lowered 911SC coupe. That car only had about 1" lowering, but it would have been much easier to live with at standard ride height.

The seat centers aren’t Racetec. Racetec is Porsche’s alcantera. Also PDLS is the blacked out headlights, LED, etc

I don’t know what it is but to me that car is screaming “put a wing on me” 🤣 also I’d tint it because wouldn’t the sun affect the leather down the road ?

Love the car., quite the upgrade. Would not tint but I don't like tint on any car but even less on 2 door cars.

You mention the same seats as the Cayman....I had a 987 Cayman, didn't fit (I needed an inch)...Had a 911 T + LOVED IT (no longer have it; LONG STORY)...am considering either a 718 GTS or a pre-owned 911 T, but as I cannot find a 718 to sit in, how much difference is the legroom?

Dont tint the windows, it distracts from the looks of the car, same as the color of the wheels. The wheels look better in grey, to match the striping. I have a 2015 carmine red Boxster GTS and hate the black wheels, changed them to grey wheels, looks so much cleaner.

Tune it... The T is an absolute beast when tuned... No tint 👍

I’ve enjoyed your videos, as I myself just purchased a 991.2 Carrera T a few weeks back. It’s nice seeing another new owner point out a lot about the car. One thing I would caution on is the claim “Carrera T’s weigh 44 lbs less” is from Porsche promotional material, and that weight difference is for T’s equipped with all the carbon and lightweight options (PCCB, carbon buckets, slick top, standard interior, etc.). If a car isn’t spec’d with those options then how could it be as light? Even 18-way seats are heavier than the standard 4-way, about 30lbs each, so just that one option accounts for 60 lbs extra mass (all the extra electric motors add up!). I’d be interested to know what your car actually weighs in at. Perhaps you could take it to a weigh station or performance shop with scales?

@@TommyLGarage Yes. Mechanical Diff in S, GTS if 7MT and Electronic Diff +PTV if PDK (S, GTS). Carrera T gets to have a mechanical Diff like S and GTS unlike a Base. T-crowd trying to make T into some unicorn need to read past Porsche Marketing. T isn’t even lighter than base unless equipped with no sunroof, PCCB and carbon bucket. T is only special if ordered with PCCB, FAL, RAS and Carbon buckets. Otherwise it’s a marketing campaign with decals. Still an extremely fun car but Car with GT lineage it ain’t.

Love this Porsche. Looking forward to more content. But I heard a slip of the tongue when you said the sunroof you HAD in the M3……. So unfortunately no more BMW I understand ? … A bit of a bummer, I liked that car, being a bit of a BMW freak myself.

991 have baby Seat hold down anchors. 997 doesn't have them. U just have seat belts to secure baby seat.

Little known fact: The GT designation for the steering wheel and why it's smaller than the normal one is--------------------because the GT stands for "Generally Tinyier" I'll let myself out now.
