The launchers were a spin off of the punchers from turning point. As for the piston indexer that was our own design.
How did you guys push the disk into the flywheel? And also how did you do the endgame string strategy?

pneumatics is an easy way to launch the string at the end, if you want to sacrifice a little air pressure lol
how did you create the code for strafing? we also have an x drive but we would like it to strafe rather than rotate. thank you!

It’s the same movement for going forward you just need to figure out which motor needs to rotate which direction to do so. Vex forums have some great examples of how to code it.

If you were to spin the left and right wheels to go forward, then you would spin the front and back wheels to strafe

Isn't there a cap to how many motors and pistons you can use? If I remember, it was 8 motors and 2 pistons no?

The limit for pistons is as many as you want it’s the reservoir that are limited to 2
What code do you use for you x drive?

Why do so many teams have rubber bands on their motors? I heard its for switching out hot motors but I can't really wrap my head around how that would be done?

instead of using 4 screws we use rubber band to connect top cover with gearbox and motor part. when motor gets hot just replace the motor part while top cover is still attached to chasis

the motor cap stays on with the cartridge in it, and u change the housing that would normally be screwed onto the cap

So I might have a major fix for it but it’s not perfect take about 5 really long screws and put them as far apart from the shooter you wants for the squish the on top of the screws stew a star nut all the way down to the bottom on every single one then take spacer and slide them on all of the screws the amount of spacer you put on is optional then put lock nuts on the top but make sure the spacer are able to spin once you put them on and then your done hope this helps😁
what pneumatics gun do u use
This is our first year at vex, and we were having trouble with the flywheel. Basically, we were able to intake the discs, but when we shot them, the discs only went a very small distance. Our rpm of the motors seems pretty solid, so I am confused on what the problem could be. Any ideas/suggestions? Thank you!

@@austinantor634 I'm not sure about the geear ratio as I forgot that, but I am 100% sure about the speed. Our flywheel consists of 2 motors, 3000 rpm. Edit: To elaborate more, we have 2 motors, each having a shaft that goes through 2 60-tooth gears. Those 2 gears work together to spin a third, 12-tooth gear, which is what spins the flywheel. Sorry for not answering your question though.

I believe I now your issues. The issue is compression between the flywheel and the wall. So when a disc hits the wall and the wheel the disc will get compressed making it (shoot far with more compression) or (close with no compression)
