I know this just training but compare JZ's 2 delivery steps to JV's here. JZ's was much quicker; JV's is much deeper. Each playing to their respective strengths of speed and power.

Statistically of all the top 10 javelin throwers (men) they have a foot contact time of 0.3 seconds on the last 3 steps. JZ is the only person who has a 0.2 sec

If you want to throw javelin only with your throwing arm - follow him !
