    I did my lights this past weekend. They really look great and now I can actually see when I reverse. It's nice how the low heat solder connectors come with the kit instead of just plain butt splice. I highly recommend this as an alternative to separate reverse lights.

    I prefer the original design with led lights but yours looks great as well and of course is your decision and your Jeep. Great job and great video. See you next week.

    Thanks, I knew it wasn't for everyone. I didn't mine the stock ones. The look I am going for, these are a better fit. We will be trail riding this and these lights will be harder to hit by something on the trail. Ultimately I let my son decide since we are in this together.

    Those are basically traailer lights. The hole is supposed to be tight and hard for the light to pop in. If you give it more play its just gonna pop off on you all the time especially when offroading with vibrations.

    What did you do with the two black wires from the light?Did you splice them together then wired it to the jeep wire?Also the 2 red wires from the light splice those two together then to the jeeps wire?

    I don't really remember. At 4:43 I explain the wiring. Looks like there is one black wire from the light that I didn't use. Good luck!

    The new taillights look great! Everyone of your videos remind me of all of the work my father and I have done to our Jeep. It’s a lot of work, but in the end it’s worth the time you spend together. Don’t stop making great videos!

    Every single item on this Jeep has been tampered with. I just started laughing when you pulled that light off and out came all those wires. I bet they filled the tires with helium too didn't they?

    Couldn't the hyper flash be fixed with a LED Flasher relay under the steering wheel? Or does that only solve the headlights?

    I’m going to check Auto Zone and O’Reillys. All I need is a small light to shine down on the plate. Their pretty picky about that here in Commiefornia.

    4:43 shows this breakdown you need(Looks like one black will not be connected as I reviewed the video). As far as the ground. Put it anywhere you can get a self tapping screw with clean paint free metal. Then bolt both grounds to that. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    @@GametimeSlime As long as it is a ground, it will be fine. They just need grounded and it doesn't matter how you do it. Hope this helps! Thanks

    Well Dennis, I actually have not realized I need one until your comment lol. Yeah, I don't really know. I will have to do some research on that. I also need a 3rd brake light which will probably go inside my tire carrier I just installed. I like the clean look without the tire but If I have a flat with out it :( Let me know if you figure anything out. Maybe an LED mounted to the bumper pointing up? Thanks for watching!

    They make led license plate lights that are integrated into the bolts that mount your plate. Kind of slick. That’s what I’m planning on using.

  • @ForceBuilt

    @ForceBuilt

    2 жыл бұрын

    At 9:00 min I mention the size(4.25") which is a little small. I have to Dremel the hole out bigger to get the brake lights to fit. The correct size would be 4.5". Thanks for watching and hope this helps!!!

  • @ForceBuilt

    @ForceBuilt

    You can get to them from under the bottom and push them out from behind. There is a plastic flap that can be unclipped then you can reach your arm up on either side to push the lights out. I haven't had any trouble with mine btw.

    All you showed is cutting holes. The most important part is the wiring, and resistor placement, and you didnt even show that process.

  • @ForceBuilt

    @ForceBuilt

    Жыл бұрын

    That's not right. The wiring is explained at 4:44. You can use resistors but I did not. I purchased a led relay here (amzn.to/3a3jiSS). This eliminates the need for resistors. For me, cutting a permanent hole in the quarter panel dwarfs any wiring issues that can easily be fixed. If you get the hole wrong, you are messed up. Thanks for watching.

  • @esti5506

    @esti5506

    @@ForceBuilt So you used a relay instead of resistors, and that wasn't stated or shown in the video. My point is that critical steps of the job weren't shown. If a person needs to go do further research after watching a supposed how to video, then the video is incomplete.

  • @ForceBuilt

    @ForceBuilt

    Жыл бұрын

    @@esti5506 I didn't know I was going to get an led relay so I didn't mention that. I didn't install the resistors or the relay in the video. So there is nothing to show there. I did explain the wiring very well that I was told I did not. The job was cutting the round tail light holes and everything else was secondary. I made mention to get rid of hyper flash you need something else(resistors) but that wasn't what this video was about. I remove hyper flash in another video btw.
