Saturday morning, drinking coffee, and watching Rob load and shoot one of my favorite cartridges before I go test some loads for the ARC of my own. Thanks Rob. The info is invaluable as far as I’m concerned. Especially since one of my test mules is also a 110 Switchback.

6 arc is definitely one of my favorite cartridges. My savage 110 seems to like most loads as well. It makes it very easy for a reloader. Also why I plan to use it for whitetails this year!

Love what you're doing, Rob. You are the only channel on YT thats actually putting in work with load development on the 6mm ARC.

I've shot a ton of game with die 95vlds and they work great! Long distance and close distance, big and small game and varmints and never had an issue. You can use them no problem

That second load looks like money to me - I would do some more testing on that load for sure - great SD as well.

Concerning that one shot with the lower than expected velocity, what did LabRadar show for the down range velocities? Were they consistent with the low muzzle velocity or consistent with the higher velocities of the other shots in that group?

I have the same exact setup (chassis and scope). I would recommend the Timney trigger, it’s a nice upgrade. Also I noticed you running these a little long (2.28 oal) which could be impacting you pressure? Most manuals show 6ARC around 2.18 oal depending on the bullet.

I usually start with loads about 15 to 30 thou off the lands and work from there. I'm not sure why a lot of 6 arc data uses such short coal.

I will be trying some 108 Bergers and some Leverevolution or some CFE223

I wish more companies would offer chassis style rifles. I have little enjoyment shooting traditional stock rifles now that I know the comfort of chassis style rifles.

Shot quite a few deer with the burger 95 grain 6 mil bullets they go in they penetrate and they go off like a bomb I wouldn't take it for an angling shot you'd be better off with something like a barns but if you've got a broadside shot put it through the shoulder and you have a dead deer

I don't understand why but for some reason, by my experience, its never the load that has the lowest deviation that shoots the best. Its always the one that has a bit more that ends up being the most accurate paper puncher. Don't get it. I've been a fan on the .243 diameter cartridges for a long time. I have a .243, 6mm Remington and now a 6mm Arc. Great hard hitting, flat, accurate cartridges.

You say you're deer hunting with the 6 arc this year. I've been hearing a lot about the high shoulder shot for an instant kill. Where do you like to place your shot?

Just behind the shoulder for double lung.

@@RobsReloading Agreed, No meat loss and a larger target area. Have taken several running deer with that hold, moving with the animal, and squeezing off the shot.

Wondering if this 95gr would work good on a gas gun.

It's light enough you should be able to get good velocity!
