RECORDED ON APRIL 1st 2024.
Dr. Hyrum Lewis is a Professor of History at Brigham Young University-Idaho and was previously a visiting scholar at Stanford University. His research interests include the early U.S., Modern China, American intellectual history, and the history of American culture and film. He is the author of The Myth of Left and Right: How the Political Spectrum Misleads and Harms America.
In this episode, we focus on The Myth of Left and Right. We talk about the common essentialist view of ideology, and the discuss Dr. Lewis’ social conception of ideology. We discuss the historical origins of “left” and “right”, and main current issues of contention. We talk about social media and affective polarization, and why the divide persists. Finally, we discuss how we can move beyond the essentialist view of politics.

    Avi Tuschman has another great book about this, with some special insights about when support for various policies are more likely to link together in one culture or another: "Our Political Nature: The Evolutionary Origins of What Divides Us".

    Disenchantment, Ricardo. This professor contribues to the rise of populism. Which to me is good!

    It is difficult to risk allowing the emergence of new effective parties or the election of a president and a large number of independent members of parliament, because that will hinder the disbursement of budgets, decisions, and legislation that the true ruler needs. Entering the theater platform requires prior conditions for the new participant to fit in with the show and not spoil it. There is a scenario and rules that must be adhered to in order for the theatrical show to be successful (improvisation is not accepted in pre-prepared theatrical performances, as there are fateful decisions taken by the actual ruler and not by the members of the theatrical show). The theater owner and the producer... are the ones who make crucial decisions, not the actors (their job is media communication with the general public).

    With the presence of two dominant parties, it will be easy to set broad guidelines and taboos and determine the only path for those who want to reach power (legislative and executive authorities). This will mean controlling the puppet show instead of waiting for surprises from those elected from outside the two parties, especially unexpected surprises resulting from the appearance of the real ruler from behind the scenes from time to time, to ensure that the broad lines and taboos are not crossed (those who are elected must be ready to harmonize with reality). The limited powers of the president and members of Parliament must be within broad lines and not exceed taboos. The bottom line is that the emergence of new effective parties, a president, or a large number of independent members of parliament will mean the failure of the show (controlling them, blackmailing them, and taming them through the intelligence services will take time and effort, and the broad lines and taboos may be crossed during that time).

    The sequence and thoughts(this goes back to what I wrote on the Closer to the Truth channel on KZread 5 years ago, of course it was deliberately deleted for the purpose of theft), everything that that old man said was written in detail and there is no doubt about his cooperation with the other old man (a tainted copy), and It's like a monkey trying to interpret human thoughts! that’s impossible for that to happen by chance.

    Usually, long term followers are of two types: one type benefits from the scene and receives money and benefits in exchange for applauding the scenes of the theatrical performance, and the second type is the lost people who search for themselves because their presence and drawing people’s attention to them may improve their mood in addition to the parties.... it a big show!

    Any successful theatrical performance will require at least two parties in the show, and even in individual performances, the actor needs to impersonate more than one character! it’s not new (goes back to thousands of years ago), basically the idea of current democracy goes back to thousands of years ago, they claim that it’s new but it’s not of course!

    This happens in all totalitarian dictatorial regimes, and the complexity of the scene will make anyone watching it lost, but in reality the scene is very simple, which is the presence of one ruler who rules in public or behind the scenes (whether an individual or a group)! The complexity of the scenarios may serve the success of the scene, especially if it is a long, ongoing television series!

    The complete taming of a party may take from a few years to a few decades, and the presence of many individuals in the board of a party may lead to the emergence of one of them who rejects the taming process publicly (disclosure). Therefore, the emergence of a third, active, untamed party will spoil the roles within the puppet show. political party means members in the parliament, government,…. etc. it’s not just a name.

    it’s one Bull and the puppet show needs at least two parties to participate in the puppet show! but there’s a problem! the one who controls the bull’s brain is the one who has the power not the puppet who rides the bull’s back! but why no as long as the public enjoys the show and gets addicted to it! The same strategy has spread among many countries through intelligence agencies.

    listen to this carefully 4:00 AI uses output…. “Interview: Former CTO of Sanctuary Al on humanoids, consciousness, AGI, hype, safety and extinction” ! Doesn't that sound familiar?! it relies on the result of human thinking process (human logic), unlike humans,…. etc! where did they found that?! is it a revelations from the heavens (their gods)?!

  • @aminam9201
    @aminam92012 ай бұрын

    36:00 that’s incorrect! Whoever invaded the bull's brain needs two parties for a good reason, which is (absolute control), because controlling two parties is easier and more guaranteed, and it is the minimum requirement for a puppet show! Absolute control over the leaders of the two parties will ensure absolute obedience to whoever is elected to the legislative and executive bodies. They all knew in advance the requirements for reaching Parliament and the presidency of the government, and they competed in the puppet shows based on a scenario drawn up by whoever controlled the puppet show.
