94 year old Harmonica player.

My 94 year old Dad and myself playing a few old songs.

    This is so touching ! I really have a soft spot for music transmission from parents to children. That's the heart of traditionnal music !

    Thanks Sylvain. I started when I was 10 learning from my Dad and Grandfather. My Grandfather learned from his Grandfather so the style of playing and alot of the songs were passed on down from my Great Great Grandfather. In this video my Dad is 94 and can't play like he did when he was younger. He just didn't have the air, He lived to be 97.

    Thanks Terri! That was a few years ago. He made it to 97. I learned a lot from him, my uncles and Grand Father.

    Yeah, he started me out on harmonica when I was10. I learned from him and my Grandfather. My Dad has been gone now for 2 years. At 94 he was pretty short of breath and couldn't remember a lot of the songs, but he did pretty good.

    My Dad passed away Dec 27 2019 at the age of 97. He could still play a little

    Thanks Sarge, that was awesome! Knowing how much harmonica playing improves longevity and general health, I'm resolved to keep playing as long as I can. Use it or lose it!

    Hi Karl. Here's the names in order of play: Sweet Evalina, When My Blue Moon Turns to Gold Again, Let Me Call You Sweetheart, Wreck of the Old 97, Wabash Cannonball, Leaving on the New River Train, Dad tried Wagner, but didnt' have the air for it. There's an Old Spinning Wheel in the Parlor.
