I stopped choosing milk when it started becoming a 50/50 gamble on wherher it was expired or not. Even if the date was good it was chunky and sour! I think they didn't refrigerate it properly when they transported it or something.

One time I was at a hotel and they served milk cartons so I drank one and it was so chunky that I threw up and they got mad at ME.

I remember in the milk program there was chocolate and regular milk in two bins for us to pick Then I went on a diet in August and I had to quit the milk program as the diet didn’t allow gluten or dairy! And a doctor told me to do the diet as I had too much iron

My school occasionally had Milkshake flavored milk which made evwryone INSANE. It was just slightly sweeter milk I still don't get why it made them like that😭

At my schools, kids went crazy for strawberry milk which we didn't just get everyday. I love chocolate milk, but with regular meals, always liked white milk. Chocolate is for desserts.

For nearly all of my elementary school days I chose strawberry milk. Then when I moved to middle school in the late 2000’s and high school in the early 2010’s, both only had regular and chocolate milk. I was disappointed but often only hoped for strawberry 🍓. Chocolate was still ok though 😅😂

I remember in my old elementary school the milk was always crusty and disgusting but in my new elementary and middle school (lierally next to each other) has bottled milk

Everyone can laugh all they want, but we all know that milk is such an excellent source of calcium which is great for keeping our bones and teeth strong and as well as helping to prevent the bone-weakening disease, osteoporosis.

Our milk came in little pouches that we had to stab with a straw. But the fun thing to do was to poke in two of the corners and invert them so it looked like a diaper 😂

I'm glad milk at school in the 90s was a thing. My psycho grandmother wouldn't let me drink whole milk and it wasn't allowed in the house (nothing but one percent for cereal and coffee), so as a sickly premature child, I doubt I'd have had much milk at all growing up (and much brittler bones) if schools didn't have whole milk at lunch.

As a young and youthful Gen Z, I remember the good ol’ days of water packets in elementary school. Couldn’t even poke a straw into it when I drank without it exploding.

Those milk cartons are part of the reason I realized I'm lactose intolerant actually lol That and my dad always used milk/butter/real cheese while making his kraft dinner (the only thing he can cook). He took it very personally that I felt sick after eating it and generally couldn't finish a whole bowl until we figured out it was just because I'm lactose intolerant :p
