Back when the Oscars were as big as the Super Bowl and now the viewership has fallen like crazy because people are tired of celebrities lol...also these actors were iconic! Many actors today lack that star quality.

@@phillytheflyerableback when people can only mostly look up to celebrities now theres influencers, micro influencers, tiktok stars, IG model and the line between influencer and celebrity became blurred. Theres also this mystic aura to them because back then theres no social media to follow our fave celebrities to keep us updated. Only magazines, news, talk shows, ect we’ll get to know more of them.

I think this era was peak Hollywood. I know the 40s-60s was a golden era too, but the 90s was when mass media had really kicked in and there was huge coverage of these actors/stars. There was still a lot of talent around and true filmmakers. Not so much today.

Las estrellas de hace 30 años no tienen punto de comparación, aun en esta era. Poder tener a Arnold, Ryan, Hanks, Madonna, Pfeiffer, Williams, Estwood, Geere, Washington, Roberts, Nicholson, Jodie, Kidman y muchos más en el mismo recinto. Eran autenticas galas, eran verdaderos eventos sociales, y se notaba cómo se imponían las personalidades y el estatus. Impresionante

The glitz & glamour is long gone. The Oscars is no longer watchable. This is what happens when Hollywood decided to let ANYBODY walk the red carpet without any TALENT !!!! Nowadays you see social media influencers buying tickets to these red carpet event like it's a sporting game. Makes it tacky AF. Everything has its place. And these celebrities nowadays why nobody cares about them. When it stops being EXCLUSIVE. That's the end results.
