I remember a lot of people, including nba analysts, doubted Luka before he was drafted. But at the time they forgot a crucial thing : he was playing pro basketball ever since he was 16 and he already was an MVP. He wasn't on the same level as any other from his draft class and it shows

Steven A. Smith comes to mind that guy doesn't know Talent and he's biased. He said he would take ja Morant over him if he wanted a franchise player. You said Devin Booker was a better shooter than him and Anthony Davis was the better player. I mean Davis spends more time in street clothes.

Lukas game is just so entertaining and keeps your eyes on him all the time. What i love most is his fierce competitive killer instincts. His confidence is just a 10/10. Reminds me of Larry legend. Luka is too me the best player in the game right now. Pray he just stays healthy. 🙏

That's what i feel about Luka. He's JUST like Larry Legend. Step back shots. Insane playmaking. Not the fastest guy on the court. Not too athletic.

I too was disappointed they left HOFamer Larry Bird off the list, ill admit Luca is far more athletic, faster, super crafty and in perfect health but lets not forget even with his many injuries Larry was a damn good passer, shooter, play maker and all around off ball talent as well. That said I just started watching Doncic and im (thoroughly) impressed, he seems to have it all and makes other players look like amateurs. I still love Larry as I grew up in his era when he was in action but no denying Luca is an astounding next level player and a real treat to watch. Id love to have seen what Larry would have been like with Doncic's health and without all the injuries that really hurt his career - but thats also one of the most amazing things about Larry, even with a wrecked back, broken and disfigured finger, multiple eye socket fractures, two achilles tendon surgeries etc etc. he still managed to become a HOF Legend - but that was then this is now, Magic Johnson said at Larrys retirement ceremony there would never be another Larry Bird, but Luca is looking like young healthy Larry Bird(+++!), I think hes even better than MJ but many will disagree, if anything he could surely give MJ a real problem even on his worst day.

Don't forget Pistol Pete, especially considering the era he played in.

Luka will suffer from the same problem that Larry Bird did, he does not come across as smooth or flashy. I HATED LARRY BIRD as a Lakers/Jabbar/Magic fan back in the day. Wanna know what player I feared them most during the Celtic v Lakers finals ? Of Course Bird followed by MR. Knees and elbows Kevin McHale who also was awkwardly bu was a killer and the 2nd best #4 player of that era behind Hakeem. Let us see how long Doncic can keep it up !
