Doc Rivers despite of his NBA record is still classy. You can give him that.

Yeah, me too. A very humble man who is the very soul of the team. His statue is there to prove it. His contribution to the big men in NBA changed the NBA forever and his representation as a european player is another testament of his greatness.

Being from Dallas I will always be like this towards Dirk, And I understand why but it is such a huge honor to see the rest of the NBA organization as a whole treat this man with the respect that he truly deserves. I don't really see that with anybody else at all. You might get that from LeBron when he retires or somebody like that and I just love that this man has the same power with his single championship win. That championship was the first championship I experienced in Dallas and I felt feelings I've never felt before or since when he got that w. Love that dude so much

I was still in the Philippines when I chose Mavs as my fave team, Steve nash, Michael finley, Dirk Nowitzki, Don nelson and mark cuban all started the franchise we knew and love. Now I am in Italy they don't understand why Dirk is special like LBJ, Dwayne wade etc. I always start and end my discussions with them that Dirk has a statue in front of his homecourt like kobe and jordan has. I'm a Filipino and somehow I connected with Dirk, twas taboo in my time to shoot the ball from the arc and be a stretch forward coz I am considered a "big" in my country, yet I am underweight but just a regular 6, which is considered tall in the Philippines. And Now all those bigs needs to have atleast a mid range and be stretch forwards before they can move up the ladder in drafts. Dirk revolutionized and contributed to the game in different ways and will always be remembered all around the world.

I'm not going to say the best. I'm not qualified to do so. But I think that the whole 2011 playoffs for the Mavs was one of the greatest runs of all time.
