About the video:
In this video we are calling out some of the bull💩 claims we found on the internet about the best leader line length (and why)!
Ryan gives his reasons about how long your leader should be leader line for different applications (some you may know and some you might not have thought of) and how to choose the right length and size for inshore saltwater fishing.
The difference between getting a trophy fish to the boat and losing it (arrgggh) often comes down to the little things. And leader length is one of those little things.

seriously one of the most helpful look at not just leaders but even the whole sniveling issue of wind-knots. Basically just pay attention to you line & fear. Using a leader, for me, comes down to where I'm fishing and how I'm fishing. Thank you for cutting through the silliness...

On baitcasters I like to keep the leader knot in front of the level wind and then have it so it is 6"-12" outside of the tip to the lure. On a threadline I like to have the leader over my forefinger when casting rather than the braid. Not too many loops of leader on the spool but as that can then lead to problems.

Something I've always done with my leader when barra fishing is to make sure its dead straight and has no memory or kinks in it etc. I like around 1m or so of leader, spin or baitcast. Once I tie my leader I have a basic cotton glovr or filleting glove and run my fingers down the taught leader and take out any memory and make it dead straight. I think that helps with hook up conversions when using hardbody lures especially more so when pausing etc. Jinkai leader for the win!

Hey Ryan, I can see you are still using the Etec G2, just curious how do you rinse your engine? Would you just need to run your hose to the rear connection port without the motor running or with motor running?

Did you just say that a fish scale will break braid before flouro?
