Seriously!! Very professional!
It's always a good day when you see a new upload from homemade home!
Please do continue giving your helpful explanations of what you are doing, and the reasons for your choices. That is at least half of the fun of watching your channel!
I like that window going up the stairs. Nice natural light. 👍 nice to square stuff up. 😃

1806StoneHouse It’s gonna be beautiful once it’s done.
I'm glad you talk about the smaller stuff involved in renovations, it's great insight for someone (like myself) who doesn't know a lot about home reno. Hearing your thinking about it as well is highly interesting and I agree with you saying the videos would get a little boring if it was just montages of your work. Keep up the talking in between working, it breaks the videos up nicely and frames the actual work your doing well.

Yup, Don't try to fix what ain't broke !
yes i think the best part of your videos are when you talk about stuff - even the random stuff. these are the best videos!
Great job! My great grandparents home burned down about 1918. Neighbors got together and rebuilt it in 11 days. It didn't have a plum wall in it. My grandpa used to talk about it all the time. When he married my grandma in 1930, he began to make screen windows for it, he said he had to shim everything. They built a home a couple miles away in 1937. I ended up buying the home in 1996, but had moved in in 1990. It was a 3 part build with unusual construction. Grandpa was a Plasterer by trade, but bought books on plumbing and electrical. The home was wired in 1939, then a separate kitchen with pantry was added, and finally a new kitchen in 1947. Plum, thick plaster, well constructed. In 1990, the home was appraised, with the comment that the home appeared to be only 15 years old, when the original part was 53, mid part 51, and final part, 43.
Thank you for sharing your Tips and tricks on unplanned situations
I really enjoy you talking to the camera explaining things. If people don’t like it tell them to watch HGTV haha.
Yes, absolutely like you taking a moment to discuss issues or hiccups you've run into and your thought processes to resolve them. This shows that you're taking the time to do a good quality remodel at a (hopefully) reasonable cost vs. doing shoddy work to get the house rented as quickly as possible. Keep up the good work!
I love your shoes :-) safety first.... Just kidding coffee first, safety like third or fourth :-D :-D

I really enjoy the segments where you stop and explain what you're doing. Your videos are very interesting and strangely relaxing too, ha ha! Everything you do, including the closing credit music, helps me decompress after a demanding day at work. Keep it up!
We LOVE when you bring up "stuff". It's how we learn and if anyone doesn't like it, they don't have to watch. Really enjoy all the stuff you do.
I love that you stop to explain why you make certain choices. It's what made me a subscriber.
New subscriber and love your channel. You explain everything so clearly and take the time to write detailed responses--how helpful and kind! I'm a 74 year old grandmother of nine and I'm hooked to your channel. We live in a house built in 1945 that my husband completely renovated twenty years ago--new wiring and plumbing, moving walls, jacking up floors, totally installed AC system, moved door and Windows--just amazing! It is our cozy little cottage that's a real charmer. Original fireplace, Windows, trim and door and window frames and glass door knobs too. Love your work ethic and the thought process. So very interesting for those of us who like watching and learning, but at our ages (74 & 80) won't be doing any more renovations. Excellent series! Thanks so much!
Yes, to the talking points!
Your explanations are helpful, tbh so we know what to expect at times and how to tackle situations. Idk, I enjoy them. Lol So thanks!
You are a one man construction crew. What wonderful skill set you’ve been blessed to have. Thanks for taking us along on the adventure.
I love your 1 man work ethic, its very motivating. It's not related to what you do, but im running a small ebay business that im currently trying to expand and grow, but i am the only person working on it, so your videos help me get off my butt when im having self doubt, and get stuff done! ty!
Keep up the good work. Those who have never worked in an old house have no idea how out of square they are. When I was in electrical school we went out to help a reno job. our job was to use surface mounted wire mold to wire in a bathroom light and GFI, so we made sure everything was plumb using our levels, then stepped back and found because the walls weren't plumb and our stuff looked crooked! Ended up taking it all apart and squaring to the wall by tape measure!
I love it as well when you take a break and talk about certain things with the renovation. Having the video only showing you do the work would be boring. A mix of both in a video is great.
I love the explaination of the details and problems. You show us all a practical solution to various problems. Fixing and remodeling keeps it out of the landfill. If people want to see it torn down and built from scratch they can watch This Old House. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks for giving Lucas a shout out on his channel. I have been following him for a while now and really enjoy his work. Both of your channels are great.
So glad to see an honest and sincere carpenter. There are some people that would just put it together weather it was right or not. I like when you explain what is going on. Keep it up. Your doing an amazing job especially since you're doing it yourself.
I really enjoy how you present your information.
The things you constantly accomplish on your own never cease to amaze me. I usually need someone to at least support me mentally when I change a light bulb...
99% of the time, rebuilding is way cheaper than doing a tear-down and starting from scratch. Whatever you video, we will watch !! Beautiful job and thumbs up.

Yeah, a lot of people think the opposite for some reason. On this house I'll probably spend $10k - 12k.....guessing at the moment.
Very kind of you to take the time to explain that bathtub situation. I have a feeling you saved some folks a lot of grief!
I like it when you take a break and give explanations of complications and issues you'll be handling and then we just see you doing it!
I like the commentary on why a piece of the project won’t work or how to face a specific problem. It’s helpful information and it helps to set the standard for renovations and why you did what you did.
A channel you or your viewers might be interested in is OITC. That is the channel name, however it stands for Out In The Country. This guy and his wife are renovating a double wide trailer set on a foundation. The problems and fixes are a little bit different but in many ways the same as what you are doing. The thing I like about their renovation is they are not trying to turn it into a McMansion, like a lot of channels, but into a budget friendly very nicely designed comfortable space.
Renovations are so much more entertaining to watch! Please keep bringing your explanations into your videos. It definitely keeps your videos authentic!
Your commentary and insight is always greatly appreciated! It's what I come here to watch!
I like the impromptu talking bits. Very informative. Also love the videos.
Awww, carpenter in Crocs. You are a hella hard worker, You deserve every fruit of your labors.
The details of the build, bringing up your thinking behind things that come up, are WHY I'm here. Personally I think that it's more interesting to hear you talk about how you're gonna build something than it is to JUST watch.
Yes, I DEFINITELY like it when you explain things!
I very much enjoy seeing how you discover and deal with the unexpected issues that crop up while you're doing renovations. It's nice to see how your mind works and how you deal with those issues quickly, properly, inexpensively etc.. I like that you show us that you sometimes have to redo things or that you hadn't thought something through properly and have to make a correction. I really enjoy your vlogs thank you for sharing with us!
I love it when you stop and reflect on tasks, especially as you did it here where you connect the solution to your overall philosophy and thought process :)
I love the confidence with which you tackle all the challenges of renovation. It is bloody inspirational!
Yes! I love when you explain about problems you run into. I hate watching shows that look like everything goes right and then you try to do something yourself and you run into a problem after problem and you feel like you’ve been led down the garden path and kind of feel lied to. Show us what we can get into if we try to do this and what you’ve gotten into and what your experiences are. If I just wanted to watch a renovation show I’d watch one on television! I love hearing about unexpected things you found and how you handled them.
Looking forward to viewing the progression and end result. . .
Also..you are saving little pieces of history! I think the world would be better if everyone tried to repair old things instead of trashing them.
I'm not a renovator and I likely never will be but I enjoy hearing about the issues and your solutions for them. I also don't understand why people suggest you build new or buy already perfect. You're saving money, using your skills, and improving a community by turning a house that would either lie empty / abandoned, or would be demolished which is wasteful. It's good to see someone fixing something to a good standard rather than just cosmetic fixes. Love your channel!
YES to the talking points! I really enjoy your insight. It's so nice to see young people work hard and have smarts about what they are doing. You are such a heard worker with great work ethic. I appreciate that!
I find it incredibly valuable when you give your thought process behind doing anything. I learn so much each time I watch your videos. Keep up the good work.
I personally like the added detail concerning issues you come across. I think it's very helpful to learn from your solutions.
I like hearing your thoughts on renovation so keep them coming. Watching you work is fun too but bringing up the thinking behind your decisions is whats the most fun to me. Great Job!
The new layout in the bathroom is just perfect! I really appreciate the time you take to explain the challenges that arise.
I like that you take the time to explain "these kind of things" and I can totally relate to those issues. Live in a 1885 build house and just got finished putting a new kitchen in before i tore down the old and started to renovate the bath room. So I can relate :-)
I appreciate the little extra fun facts you add to the videos. And I think the new bathroom layout is perfect for that space.
I enjoy it when you talk about things specific to each house...almost makes us feel like we’re there working on the house too!
I really enjoy you showing the oddities you run into remodeling an older home. My home is old, nothing is perfectly square, there’s been settling so there is (safe) sloping. It’s nice to find people working with houses like that, and how you work around it. Love your channel!
Love that you stop and explain things! That is one of the reasons I watch you! Keep it up
Great vid...please keep discussing interesting/challenging problems you find while doing the renovations, that's what really makes the videos interesting.
I appreciate that you show us the obstacles you run into and then explain how you plan to overcome them. It's nice to see how you're thinking about how to solve problems. Thanks :) So cool that you did a shout out for Lucas and Sarah at 1806 Stone House!! Cool!
I appreciate the talking segements. It gives an insight into why you're doing things the way you are. Also it breaks the videos up and helps tell a story
I came over from 1806 stone house. He is awesome! So glad you gave him a shout and and also happy to find your channel too. 😊
Modern houses are skewwiff too lol. Stick with renovations- it’s lovely to see old houses brought back to life! You do am amazing job - keep doing it! I wish most people put your effort and eye for detail into their work. A pleasure to watch 😎👌🏼👍🏼
WOW! This is amazing! And you're doing this all yourself! HUGE props to you! I can't wait to see the finished project! Nice work!
It's looking fantastic! Thanks for showing the steps and thought processes that happen along the way. I like that you show all the good and the surprises that really happen. Most channels just show the stuff that went right, lol.
I really enjoy this. I like the taking a break and explaining what your doing and what the hold ups could be, what problems may arise, and your thinking behind what you are doing.
Hey man! My buddy Lucas got me watching your channel and it's great 👍. I agree with you about renovating. You could tear the house down....or.. you can renovate it, make it better than it ever has been, and save a piece of history. 😃

True and it's always cheaper to rebuild.
i love it when you take time in the video to explain challenges. it's what keeps bringing me back. every single time. i have been watching since your 12,000 dollar house
The commentary is great and an excellent addition to the video, it really helps bring tid bits of insight into the projects
Definitely appreciate the commentary. You're doing an honest and good thing.
The info on the work around things is good. That stuff always comes up and can be quite mind boggling for newbs & self taught ppl. That would be me, self teaching and always trying to figure this stuff out.
Thanks for all your insights! From someone who wants to be a carpenter/home renovator in her next life, I love your videos.
I've loved just watching you build and seeing things come together, BUT getting an explanation of what you're doing, of complications you hit, and missteps you make, really make the videos more thought provoking and engaging. Thanks for letting us in on your secrets! Also really diggin' your new channel.
Talking about the challenges you face in doing the renovation is, I think, a useful part of the series. Part of the process of becoming adept in renovation is to learn from past mistakes and to think further ahead before starting. (Mmm... maybe like looking at the tub layout before flooring, in-case some joists need to be moved or sistered to accommodate the tubs plumbing? ;)- ) Enjoying the series, its a lot like the $10,000 house series. It's something that would be impossible where I live.
As a new construction teacher that isn't trained in the field properly, I love the talking and explanation!
Your level of detail is fantastic. I love receiving helpful advice and insights.
love when you bring up the issues that come up along the way and your explanation for why you did things a certain way!! your videos are priceless and so enjoyable to watch! Thank you so much and keep em comin ;)!
I appreciate seeing how you are solving what seems to the unskilled as impossible.
Just seeing the rot gone and new walls up I feel it smells better. I can almost smell the fresh cut 2x4s. I know the feeling as we are 4yrs into renovating a neglected house that was damp and dark. Can't wait to work thru this video series. Thx for posting.
Great channel. Dont change anything! Thank you for the inspiration. I get slowed down on my renovations sometimes. This channel gives me hope.
I enjoy the small interludes to hear what you’re thinking or why you do things a certain why. There’s no one way, but many ways to get the job done. I just enjoy good knowledge being spread and a house being turned into a livable home!
I like when you take the time to explain! It makes everything make more sense.
Problem solving is part of the game & I find it really interesting. Keep up the great work. Looking good.
Please keep taking time to explain the interesting stuff. I think that lends a lot of perspective to people that haven't done this kind of teardown/rebuild.
@9:25 - Yes, I love that kind of explanation. It is not only useful information for people who are thinking of investing in this kind of project, it also makes the vids more interesting. So keep talking!
I completely agree with your logic on renovation vs new construction. I’m loving the videos and am always interested in hearing your thoughts and tricks. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Yes, by all means keep doing your videos this way. It’s very interesting and informative. As always, you do such great work. It must be so satisfying to see the fruits of your considerable labour’s and benefit from it financially. I love that you save this old gems.
I really respect and enjoy the way you explain the scenarios you run into. Not only is it realistic, but it’s helpful to anyone rerenovating a house, especially when they may not think they’ll run into these problems. Quality content.
I love hearing what you have to say, whether it's about houses or life. I think you strike a good balance between chatter and action 😊
"You live in a very noisy world" that was perfect timing
It is always to me, the most beneficial to see the struggles of the unexpected that could pop up. More video's of that type stuff would be very enjoyable and teaches me a lot.
I really enjoy and appreciate when you show your mistakes and the unforeseen challenges. Respect your genuine approach to all aspects of the renovations you choose.
Please continue talking as it explains YOUR method of what just happened and YOUR reasoning on how to fix it...love your work.
Please keep sharing your thoughts and decision making with us. Not every reno needs an architect to fix the issues. It is much more 'honest' to hear your reasons for what you are doing and why. I love that you know your strengths and use them to accomplish your goals, as the saying goes "One bite at a time." Love your channels and look forward to all your videos.
Thank you for the shout out for 1806 Stone House. You made our day! Beautful inspiring job on your bathroom!
Definitely! It makes a problem seem a lot more manageable when you point it out, and explain how to work around it. It gives homeowners and diyers like myself confidence to move forward. Playing catch up on all your videos.
Love it when you explain some of the difficulties you run into while redoing an old house. Paid 4,500 for ours and over the years have had to do a lot of resquaring etc but I have lived here the whole time while doing it all and you're right, financially it is not a big strain on the income. Thanks for taking the time. I know it is a pain to film it all.
I like when you take the time to explain your logic in the way you're doing something. Your approach of waste not want not is in line with my own views. I love taking something that someone would normally toss out or demolish and making something new and just as good with it. That sweat equity pays off.
Yes, talking about how you take care of odd problems that pop up is interesting and should also be helpful to DIYers.
