I was really surprised when that chair was tossed. I was thinking, "...hey, here's another video. Disassemble, realign, replace some parts, glue it up, clamp it, let it dry, sand it down, nice coat of paint, up for sale on my other channel."

Yep. An old wooden chair is a lot safer ladder than an old plastic chair - relatively speaking. However, people will steal your ladder but they couldn't care less about your old wooden chair.

I had just finished viewing all 56 ep. of the $12000 house renovation, then found out that there more episodes on the $9000 house. Lucky day, here we go again.

I don’t know why but I love watching people use nail guns 😂😂 the bounce they do makes me happy. This is looking phenomenal. All of the work you’ve put in to this is going to preserve this home for a long time. So cool.

Yvonne Daniel I used to jump out of perfectly good planes in my “No Filter” youth as my Dad used to call the 60’s n 70’s for fun and then also some jumps in my military time...and am totally terrified of heights if not in a plane. 🤦‍♀️ Go figure cause NO WAY will i EVER go into that attic up those rickety pull down stairs...when i die those boxes of “cannot even remember what they are” will be there still. LOL. Know theres a ton of Legos of my sons but thats about all my brain knows 🤣

@Moe Green So what is your idea of fixing? Completely tearing the porch down and rebuilding? Have you not seen the tools he uses in every video? I think most of his subscribers that are some what knowledgeable about repairing houses know that he is doing the best job that anyone could do. If you wanna see patch work, come to my parents house. The house was practically put together with scrap wood and other materials by the person who built it many years ago. So until you are the one working on a house similar to the one he's working on now, then you should keep quiet. You don't know the condition of the house 100%. You don't know what structural issues it has. You just don't know. I mean, neither do I, but its ignorant people like you that ruin things like this. Just let the man work and keep doing what he is doing. He obviously isn't doing this without knowledge of building code and the knowledge of how to use various tools and how to measure things.

It's going to be a grand street to live in . Having pride in your home brings so many benefits, even if you don't own it it can ground you, give you goals.

I have to admit I thought not saving the old columns was a mistake but when I saw the final result I have to take it all back. Well done and it looks terrific and will be even better once it's all painted.

I use to do the same thing as you. I got up to my 2nd home and the 2008 housing crisis hit, along with a bad divorse. It was the best job i ever had. Being your own boss with your own hours. I worked 12 hours a day 7 days a week i loved it so much. God bless!

I like the new front porch columns. They give the front of the house a more substantial appearance. You are doing a great job with this house!

I have watched a few of your videos and I can see your dedication. You are also a one man show. Your work is amazing.

Generally speaking, the repairs you tackle make sense, functionally & aesthetically. However, the box columns on the porch are a head scratcher. You have an existing reference for scale via the spindle columns you removed. And, the neighboring homes, they too have spindle columns of similar scale. In addition, for even the most modest of homes, porch posts & railings are the most common elements to express character. Looking at the neighboring homes, they too are modest, yet express character via the porch elements. The box columns are stripping that character from the exterior. (Just something to keep in mind on future projects.) Also, keep in mind, a flat porch ceiling is 100% in keeping with homes of that period of construction. The flat beadboard (or, panelized treatment for more formal homes) porch ceiling is very typical of homes in the US, up until the 70s. Criticism/suggests aside, I enjoy your videos. And, even if I might suggest a different detail here or there while watching, I think you have a good sense for aesthetics. Your Tiny House being a good example. So, I hope you don’t think I’m just looking to criticize for the sake of being critical. I’m impressed by your work ethic and your ability to tackle projects others would likely be overwhelmed attempting to complete. You’re an impressive young man.

I initially had the same thought about the columns, but then I thought about the way this house will be used. This is a rental property, and it wasn't an architectural gem to begin with. It's a modest house, and it really just needs to be clean and livable for the future tenants. I'm sure the box columns won't detract from the house when it's all said and done.

I came in around episode 4 or 5 and it's gonna be amazing when this is all done. I'm gonna love watching a video of this whole process speeded up from start to finish.

I commented on your last video about the list pf projects on this house just keeps on growing, and here, in this video you show that there are still more. One thing in common, once you start something new, it typically seems to reveal that area was in worse condition than you might have hoped. Good luck with the side verandah transformation and the repair of the front verandah.

These finished houses are charming! Each would be good starter homes but I can also see the potential for a lot of personalization and enjoying one for many years. If I were house hunting in this area, I would look for a house this man renovated. Very well done!

I love the way you work. If you don't have a table handy, just put the saw on the ground and start cutting. 😊 You don't let the small or inconvenient things hold you up.

Standard. One of the hardest parts of doing renovations is judging when to stop. I've never touched a house that ended up "finished" (at least in my mind) - there's always SOMETHING I skip or leave as-is and it bothers me forever after that.

It is a real pleasure to watch you work. The care you take and the pride you derive is fantastic. Keep up the great work.

So far, in this series of this house, you have done or plan to do, every part of this house from foundation and basement to the roof, and everything in between, except for the upstairs front bedroom. And even then, you have made a new door into that bedroom. You aren't even halfway done with this series of this house's renovations. I am amazed.

With your attention to detail and making sure that every house you touch is sound, I would definitely buy a house from you any day.
