I've started to build this truck around mid summer. The goal was, to have a final version by the date the new planetary hub arrives. You can enjoy this journey by watching this long, boring and questionable quality video. Nevertheless the planetary hubs didn't let me down, I find them well crafted concidering it's price and material.
Lubricating the cv heads was unavoidable to make them withstand the high rotation and torque.
The truck is about 3 kg, so the performance it shows in the video quite convincing. Forgot to ad in the video, the final version has 2 servo motors for steering. Just to make sure it's beefy enough. :-)
This build was meant to be an experiment on the new hubs and their performance, therefore the upper build is rather symbolic. But the doors are openable! :-D

4:30 fantastic power! It looks like it is kinda breaking the laws of physics!

Apart from new hubs, that Tatra-like-behavior suspension is interesting. Unlike many Tatra MOCs, that pivot point of half axle is separated from driven axle. It seems there is no stress or friction on driven axle even when suspension is fully compressed.

" It seems there is no stress or friction on driven axle even when suspension is fully compressed." I hope, I can take this as a compliment. :-) No stress or friction there indeed, a sloppy job, like that would ruin my reputation. :-) Yet this setup comes with several benefits, mostly on geometrical terms. Thanks for stopping by, means a lot. ;-)

Wow, I didn't see this coming. :-D While I can confirm, there is merit in this solution and can recommend it, I think you are too hard on yourself. Your build was following authentically the structure of a tatra suspension, mine is just accidentally mimicing the look. Anyhow, I hope you put your hand on a couple of these hubs, they are serious game changers in our line of work. Our biggest challenge was always to make sure the drivetrain is strong enough. With the planetary hubs that problem has gone. The new problem is: How can the suspension and the chassis handle that much torque on the wheels. ;-) Still, I gonna frame your comment and put it on my wall. :-D

Thanks. I should say, there wasn't any, that's the secret. :-) Slow output, straight to the diffs. 2 motors drove the front axles, the other 2 to the rear. I've seen the unedited comment too. The xl motors were planted the same way. 1 for the front, 1 for the back.

If you know how to find the part on bricklink, than go for it. If you don't, well it's time to learn it. Go to the main page from the other link I've sent, choose "parts" in the main menu, go down to "Technic, Steering" and click on it.
