Mirror's Edge Catalyst is still breathtaking to this day. The visuals of clean contrasting colours such as white and orange will always captivate me.

@@Harrock Yes, i have played ECHO, a beautiful game as well. But the difference is that ECHO is a full indie game and Mirror's Edge Catalyst a AAA game. EA could have continue funding the game for at least a few expansions and then a sequel.. But for a game like ECHO i can forgive the lack of content.

@@LeeAndersonMusic you are actually wrong the shader does add many elements of raytracing mostly global illuination it's just limited to screen space because that's all reshade can see.

@@terry2295 yeah, but it's still not true raytracing. It's such a cheap way of calling it raytracing because the effect doesn't take into effect the environment around the player, which is like 90% of actual raytracing.

Top 3 games of all time, hands down, a marvel of game design! I mean, this game looks like it's releasing in 2030, but it's been out for more than 5 years!!!

The game had the perfect vibe. It had subtle touches that just made you feel good just by running. I didn't need a clear objective, I didn't need a quest, just ruining around made me feel happy. I donno how many of you noticed this but Mirror's Edge Catalyst had this really subtle but cool mechanic where the Glass City became more saturated and vibrant when you had high focus and were running fast. It's such a cute little way of conveying Faith's sheer satisfaction and feelings to the players without them even realising it. The game just looks prettier when you run fast.

This game is good but it would've been amazing with a couple more years of development time + fully implemented RTX lighting. Here's hoping for a Mirrors Edge 3 but I doubt it

Nice video, too bad it's done with the german voiceovers.. Germans, please learn the current language of science and technology.. Say no to overdubbed nonsense and get rid of them within one generation! Not that I don't like German, but relying on overdubbing is such a shame and an insult to the original voice acting.. (also, the director wasn't as involved in the overdubs, so the quality is actually a lot lower)... bitte... denken Sie an die Kinder!
