I am using an Insta360 X3 camera today for a university project, and I have hired it out. I broke the len cover during the film and in the high wind in the UK. I am using video and images for uni projects. It is an awesome camera. I like it. 🤟🏽

Buyer beware on all these videos - this is KZreadr influencer at its HIGHEST - the embargo has lifted - there are 50 videos out there about this "ACTION CAMERA" - and what NONE OF THEM TELL YOU - is that these lenses are DELICATE - like you WILL SCRATCH the lens in snow - or on a bike trail - or a dropping it on a table - and then - it will cost (at least it did on previous models) $99 to fix it - or all your footage will have a smudge from the scratch. Also - you have to write an email to them explaining it - then wait 4 weeks for a reply - then fill out a form and pay the $99 plus shipping - to CHINA - then - wait another 4 weeks - until you get our camera back.....ALL of these videos got a FREE camera - and then went snowboarding - and if they had to pay $500 for the camera - then another $99 if they dropped it in the snow - which WILL scratch it - they would not use it. The lens guards dont work - in fact I had one scratch my actual lens when the camera hit the ground while not even snowboarding - SLEDDING on a bunny hill! BUYER BEWARE! These are just commercials for free cameras given to influencers.

Underwater shots.. the sea floor is doing some crazy warping ! Water effect I suppose, I haven’t seen it that bad in other ‘reviews’ footage.

Photosites ≠ Resolution This is like the fifth video I’m writing this under this. But as opposed to Blackmagic cameras with impracticality small photosites, the thumbnail to this video says “omg 8K!” about a sensor any even slightly well versed tech nerd should no is too small to actually benefit from such a high photosite count.

Probably the same as the X3. You'll need a mic adaptor and the X3 can be used as a webcam so I'm sure the X4 can as well.

Insta360 is good. My problem is that ALL of them have a 10 second gap in the footage every half hour. This makes continuous filming like bicycle rides and concerts impossible. Have they fixed this problem in the 8k?

When you tell that it can shoot for 137min you have to add that it is in 5.7k otherwise is misleading and make your viewers think that it can do it in 8k with is 71min. Still very good tho

...and it still looks like phone footage. Forget the resolution. Give us better dynamic range to be able to use the footage with full and crop sensor mirrorless cameras. That's really all we've been wanting for since the first action cameras came out and we're still waiting.

Cool camera but i likely wouldn't use that invisible selfie stick option as it makes your hand look gimped so anyone watching will think you were in a sawing accident...also the strap and extra long selfie stick will just bring the wrong kind of attention to yourself. As far as i can tell, the only decent accessory for this camera is the underwater housing...and i can't swim so i would never buy it...cool piece of tech though, I'm sure it costs thousands being 8k and all.... I'll just wait a few more years for 8k to become the norm and I'll buy the walmart version.😜

Not the more accurate information given here. I'm at 40sec, and she said the previous version was 4k, but it was 5.7k, even the X2 was 5.7k. X4 user might mostly be in 5.7k as well most of the time.

Looks no different from the x3. Digital infractions are still present. Perhaps the sharpness needs adjustment. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What a shame Insta 360 X4 😂 SENSOR SIZE: 1/2'' (same size like low budget Samsung A34 from 2023) APERTURE F1.9 (worse at low light than F1.8 of Samsung A34) 😅

Rule of thumb is don't trust these streamers who get paid by the manufacturer to promote their camera. They won't give toy an honest review and they'll just spew the marketing script provided to them.
