Glad to still see interest in these cars. I have a Turbocoupe engine transplant into a 1988 4 cylinder Mustang and made mods that should put me close to 300HP. The 155 lph fuel pump does fine.

Yeah sad story my car got total by a drunky years ago had pick it apart sell it by parts. I ended up building a Thunderbird Super Coupe i stroked it out making close to 408HP with like 513LB of torque with 19 PSI on 100 octane. @karahna yeah it worth getting a 255 fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. specially if your going to do more boost man. specially if you going to mod you car a 255 fuel pump and adjustable fuel regulator is a must.

I’m trying to get one of these, how fast did she run?

I am buying one of these for a DD. I only plan to lightly mod it. What are the cheapest things I can do it make it faster? I was thinking. Front Intercooler, Boost Controller and a better wastegate or BOV. I have around $1k to spend and I heard there is a goodbit of things that will help. Also I am looking for better struts is there any out there that I could use? Even if I loose my firm ride?

well its all in the turbo,injectors and tuning, since i have stock injector with 91 octane gas pump gt30 18 psi did 273 HP 289Lb torque that what i dyno at. also the VAM air meter restricts to much air flow, tunner guy said if i get rid of VAM put mass air flow, and 65cc injectors with 20 psi on this turbo could hit 350 easy. I recommend buying 255 fuel pump and fuel regulator. he go to this site. stinger-performance. dot com

How much power do you think all that adds? I am looking to only get around 300whp and I will be happy.

@@bens3992 nah, I kept it mostly stock. There's a turbo tbird forum that you can Google that has alot of good info. But to get 300whp, you need full intake/exhaust, fuel system, comp and a better turbo if I recall right. Fuel pump/system is needed for any real hp gain.

@@bens3992 go to stinger performance and look at the faqs, check out the nato and turboford forums aswell. The first things you’re gonna want to do is k/n mounted in fender or behind header panel(your choice) 3”down pipe to either single 3 or dual 2.5s. I personally run a single 3. After that get you a Gillis boost controller and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I’d recommend at least a 190lph pump. The stock pump is only rated for something like 88lph. So once you start turning up boost and fuel pressure you’ll reach the limit there pretty quick. The stock ihi turbo is only good for about 18psi of boost so anything past that you’ll want to upgrade(I’m running a t3). Around this point you can start looking at a front mount, and a mild cam, anything much further past this point is when I’d recommend some sort of engine management and things of that nature

Its been a while since i had this car i sold it. For starters look up gnari.com He haves a basic full bolt on intercooler, headers, 67mm turbo, down pipe, 38mm waste gate, recirculating bong and a throttle body converter to slap a bigger t-body kit. Its like 1,500 it wont break your bank. I will also recommend www.stinger-performance.com/store/intake/porting-service get the upper and lower ported intakes, with a single full exhaust kit form them. Slap 80Lb injectors and depending on the condition of your tbird, tune that bad boy u might hit 300HP with this kit. Also check out bo-port.com and one thing will be a big HP boost is to remove the stock VAM maf from this cars slap a MAF like a 78mm they will handle like 400HP. That VAM is big HP restriction.

Yea this cars been long gone for like 3 years i sold it i ended up with S256 borgwarner, with the turbo i have on the youtube picture profile that turbo i put. I know have a Thunderbird SC with cam,rooler rocker MPx blower and a lot of other stuff.

Sorry for late response bro, well with 1400 bucks you can get all the bolt on for ur ride of a friend who made whole bolt on kit for this cars, everything u see in my car, whole bolt on FMIC kit, cast iron header, BOV with recirculating valve adapter,38mm wastegate, turbo 3 inch down-pipe and waste-gate dump valve, with a reliable close to gt35r ball bearing turbo, but if you want waste less i say buy a holset hx35 turbo of ebay or craiglist. go to this web site. gnari.com give him a call

what kind of problem? 1st of you cant run this cars with just blow off valve you have to recirculate the air back, you will have issues like car will try to turn off or sputtering. in order to run it with just blow off valve u need to tune the car. well i used costume adapter i can give you the link to they guy who makes em for this car and other goodies? gnari.com
