88 OBS with gen 3 5.3 swap with cam

Truck went a pathetic 1.8 60 foot, went 8.5. Suspect the trans is at fault. Has sparkles in the trans filter. B&M 3800, TH375, 3.42 gears, ported and milled 243s, little chopper cammotion cam, NNBS intake. Could use sone more tuning but still should run a little better

Some lower gears would help that out a lot!

A real tune, trans that isn’t slipping, electric fans, etc. A lot would help. This was a base like for fun. This truck is getting a LY6 with ported heads, custom cam, LSA blower, new 4L80 with converter and a 8.8 with 3.73s. I’ll run it all motor before the blower goes on just for science

I have been doing LS stuff before it was so popular. So it becomes easy to spec things out more often than not. The cam works well with this engine as long as you have a converter that will let it slap in to the torque band. Just works better with a 6 liter to take more advantage of cubic inches

It's Goin In A 5.3 Stock Bottom End ... Top Side ... Not So Much ... Just Makin Everything Breathable ...
