Never thought Cox would be as good as he ended up being. These guys are both great wrestlers.

He’s won his golds in a much weaker weight class. Taylor’s gold medal was way more impressive

honestly that 4 point throw was stupid... it clearly shows that cox initiated and his butt touched 1st and he even twisted so he wouldn't land on his back.

Brandon Rothe actually that's wrong as it was Taylor who shot first and got in on a leg which caused Cox to go for that throw

The only thing I do not like about the American world team trials is that it resembles a college wrestling match - I know that these men were brought up by the collegiate folkstyle standards but wish they would "freestyle" a bit more - nevertheless, both Cox and Taylor compete well internationally - wish them the best during their international combat ~

At 5:00, the ref completely fucks this match. Cox got jipped. He had a full body lock and clearly initiated the throw and was likely going to end up on top.

  • @app369

No way. He was getting taken down and went for that body lock throw as a last resort. Back exposure and he didn't flip Taylor at all.

There needs to be compulsory skin surface wipe downs with Cox, how can wrestling with your skin oiled not be an unfair advantage? If it is important that a wrestlers skin is dry at the beginning of the match, and the beginning of the period, it is more important that it is dry DURING THE MATCH.
