I started in trucking when I came out of the Air force in 1969. I retired a few years back and it was a great ride so when I see all the old gems on your channel it just brings me back to the good old days . Thanks so much Dane love you channel.👍👍

Nice rig all around. Another CAT 3406 living its next life. Pulling EAST MFG trailer. Built up north on Route 44 in Randolph Ohio. Maybe you can do a video on EAST some day.

What a great combo. Almost positive, this outfit hauled for us this summer, out of Minerva Oh. A co-worker sent me a pic, as I was on another job. US Bulk hauls a lot of our" contaminated dirt". Great to see the older ones still working

I ran a 1988 white gmc with a 3406b and a 13 speed up until about 5 years ago. My uncle bought it almost brand new. Unfortunately it was very tired and very worn out. Finally updated to a newer 99 model with a series 60 and a 10 speed. Miss the old truck but not the fuel mileage.

I drove a new K100 in 1985, KW did some strange things, had a cable shifter , and no transmission support brackets and the bolt holes in the bell housing stripped out. KW fixed, under warranty. If it had been mine, I would have added the bracket to avoid that happening again The one I drove had a 300 horse Cummins 9 speed

@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE they did. There's a black W900 A steel hauler runs up and down i75. It's an '81 I think he said. It's got the modern doors on the cab. He said he just needed to reposition the door striker. So in theory you could put Wing window doors on a 2021 T6,8 or W900. And yes KW went to square headlights mid '84. I think they called them W900 B's

Miss those old big block cats had one in a w900 kw

From a fellow semi-dump driver here in Cleveland, Ohio, this rig is old school cool. Too bad you couldn't talk to the owner more. It would have been interesting to hear more about the owner and the history of the truck and the work he does for U.S. Bulk.

Yes the back roads , but not the interstates because that thing would jar your teeth right out of your head. Especially I 40 in Arizona.

I thought the roof mounted AC was gone by the eighties, was this an add on? Was 85 the first of the B model Cats?

I remember associated transport had roof mounted ac on their transtars back in the 70s lol I had a 79 u model mack with roof mounted ac back in the 80s
