Great Scores for the Kenworth! I love hunting semi truck Salvage yards... That varishield set up was fairly common on trucks. That way, when you were bobtailing, you could lower it to flat. The angle gauge was convenient, so you did have to get out to see what angle it was. Dane, you do amazing work. Looks like your Peterbilt got some pinstripes, too. Ive been waiting to collaborate with a great coffee company to go with the channel and finally found Justin’s product. He runs a very class act trucking company too! You found some great stuff in that junkyard! The guages look incredible for their age! Nearly brand new! Ive never seen or heard of those deflection blade risers before. Really cool stuff that would be cool to see on grasshopper if you can find the parts! Great video Mr. Scott, cant wait to see the dash light up for the first time in many years!

O-H-I O Porters🇺🇸 WOW! You showed more of that junkyard this time…Loved It! A couple of REOs, etc. That Freightliner is definitely worth saving. That’s an early 60s I think. Is that tachograph up for sale? I would love to have that in my REO. So much good stuff there! I’m glad that you did more of a walk around this time. Hey, when you see those special parts, that’s the time to get them! I’ve seen the deflector gauge before…many years ago! Many things going on, so I’ve been delayed in viewing your videos lately, but getting to them. Grasshopper is coming along so well! Had to watch it again…a IH 4000. Brockway…it had the sled dog ornament. That one GMC had 2 tachographs. Blessings my friend! 🥰😀✌️

Oh I hear ya, I was getting worn out gathering KW parts then fighting with the Astro drivers side steps I just decided have to come back another day. I must be getting old lol.

You are one of only a handful of people that take the time and effort to save these old trucks. I think what you are doing is very important.Save as many as you can as long as you can. You are appreciated.

Dane you should buy that Brockway dump. You could make your money back out of it. Plenty of Brockway people that would probably buy it from you. Alot of nice trucks there with plenty of potential for rebuild. Awesome video Dane. Really enjoy seeing what is still waiting for a second chance.

Hi dane go to npd an look up old ford truck catalog quarter glass an you can get a lock that goes over the glass an locks it to the bailey channel its fits all trucks. Cheers mate🇦🇺

I drove for a company in va in the early 80s they had 14 k100s We pulled Van's and flats ,all of there kw had the electric deflectors, like that ,you could have it raised when pulling a van ,lower it when pulling a flat real clever device !

Today I was at a tire shop just off I75 and when I was leaving, I saw a newer Kenworth painted up in the exact Movin' On Scheme!!!!!! It had the short slanted nose from what I could see. I almost got on the highway to catch up and give him a thumbs up, but he was gonna head North, and into a clusterzone - I mean a construction zone. Now to watch the video.

You forgot those nice, can you receipts? Has somebody reopposed those 2000 natural and and grasshopper get this diary wheel like I said, get the foot. New food pebbles clear that truck out. But all the new stuff up in there near. Yeah, grasshopper will be looking sharp. All new stuff on new gazees. New Jake brake news here in wheel. Give me a new makeover can I puppy any makeover make over over

Brockway Husky. Not sure if they had different colors or meaning for the hood dog like Mack did. That was a top of the line air deflector to have a gauge like that included. You not only know where to go, but who to bring shopping when you go!

Looks like some of those rigs could be restored....Unfortunately you can' t save em all....

The ol’Vari-Shield and Deflector gauge….had them on the ‘84 359 I drove years ago. Electric jackscrew ran the deflector up/down to suit the desired angle…smart design. Nice haul on KW parts, Ol’2-Stroker(Wayne) might be a source for Jakes, taller rocker covers(or the earlier spacers that are era-correct) and cross heads for Grasshopper….did you snag those steps for Blue Jay?

They did have a brochure on the Vari-shield. A single bunk W900 was used.

Small bunk Astro was a old Yarga Steel hauling truck.

I dont know if they still sell tgem in truck stops, but you used to be able to buy the vent window locks in most of them, but you can definitely find them online still, to lock that drivers side.
