$800 Lamps at Salvation Army - Resellables - Antique Reselling & Picking
Ойын-сауық
Next weekend, I'll be driving to NJ to meet up with Pete Schichtel and Tim "Ringy" Saylor for some digging at the top-secret button dump. I decided to go picking for a little hotel money... and I may have stumbled upon my best pick ever.

@@marierichardson3566 she sells on both (she just started on ebay). Go to her other channel "crazy lamp lady" and she'll show you her hauls and what she'll sell them for (and get!). Her links to her stores are in her description box there.🙂

@Ghost & Fang huh ? Get in trouble for what ? Lol..
To think 5 years ago you didn't have money for a hotel room. And now you have people on payroll 👏👏👏 this is amazing!
Sweet score.back when i was a little guy 12 yrs old or so i used to find push mowers in trash fix them and sell them.they would help fund my video game and movie theater and popcorn addiction lol.
Love the video. Once bought a cookie jar for $3 and found out it's worth close to $400. Keep them coming kid.
Hi Amie! We love the little red headed woodpecker planter! Oh so cute!! Thank you for taking us along on your shopping trips. 😺❤
Wow, I wish I had half your knowledge of what things are worth. I really enjoy watching your videos. So much information in them. Thank you for sharing.
I have the same love of lamps and vintage light fixtures and ceiling shades. I love watching the ones you pick.
I always check the belt buckles at goodwills I found a sterling Silver Texas City Monsanto safety award one for 4$ that I got 35$ on ebay.
started watching you last week, you have taught me so much. I work in a thrift store in a small town. Everything is so cheap, thought I might be able to make a few dollars. Thanks
Nice picks! You're very knowledgeable. I hope you're feeling better now. Thanks for sharing!
Your antique knowledge seems way past your age. Hope that came out right. I metal detect as a hobby and love your detecting videos but also enjoy seeing what you find in a store. Keep doing what your doing, your amazing.
I love, love, love, the button dump !!!! I've watched several of their videos when they dug there !!!
Great to see female pickers sharing knowledge. I'm a dude and I have no idea about what lamps and bowls sell for. Great content, u gained a sub.
After the 'American Picker' craze was over down here in Texas, the Goodwill and Thrifts stores that were banking on it then with high prices, have fell dead now. Their prices are so high that I dont even go in them as I once did. You must have better luck up North. Good Vid and Good Luck...

It IS crazy! I often want to tell them their price is higher than what I can buy it for on ebay..lol! On the other hand, I just sold a Joe Cocker reel to Reel Tape for $31+ that I paid $0.99 for...so I won't complain too much ;).
I used to do a lot of that buying militaria. Before I got obsessed with metal detecting.. omg you have chickens too! Bonus points.
Too cool! Love you had a great pick! Love your critters too!
Enjoy your channel! You know your stuff, & are very informative! Very laid back & down to earth which is a rare find! So glad I came across this!!! :-)
Unbelievable finds! I love all of your videos!
Hello Crazy Lamp Lady, I wanted to give you some recognition today and to share a coincidence that just occurred to me at a Goodwill. I watched this video a while ago, but your statement at 5:20 about the Starbucks mugs stuck with me. I was perusing the shelves today at Goodwill, and then all of a sudden I see a Starbucks glass bottle with Atlanta on it. I swooped it up! This will be my first time trying to resell something that I have thrifted. Thank you for the small adventure.
Omg...I love all your insight!
My wife and I are pickers as well. I have furnished my whole house from thrift store finds.. I think it's funny when people come into our house for the first time because they think we have a lot of money lolololol.. If i'm not out metal detecting in the summer we are hunting the thrift stores for treasure.. It's a lot of fun..
I am so proud of you finding those lamps! So awesome!!!
Nice pickin!!!! I love going to the Salvation Army, swap meets, yard sales and the likes; ya never know what you're going to find. I'm always on the hunt for old cast iron to restore and sale.
Lord I love watching your videos I'm obsessed I'm going to thrift store today to start looking at lamps and glasses.
City Starbucks mugs are worth $?? Wow...I used to work for SB as a shift mngr and have a bunch of them! New York, Sydney (got when I went to Aussie in 2010) San Diego, Phoenix ect! I'm going to have to look this up!! Do more videos like these! I love your knowledge of some serious beautiful things! (especially the lamps & glass pieces) Thanks Bella! Ciao
I would do a video just on that Murano lamp and how to spot them, their are not a lot of information on these lamps!
Wow you've changed alot in 4 yrs .beautiful then & now
I am starting to like these videos almost as much as the detecting videos. Cool find on the lamps! Everybody needs a score now and then.
I love your videos.Your so wise .Good deals.
Your hair cut is so nice. It is very flattering! I used to cut my hair like yours and seeing your hair cut makes me want to cut my long hair. I grew my hair long for my DH who wanted me to start wearing my hair in French Braid(s).....He passed away WAY before my hair was long enough to braid....but I love the look of the French Braid, and although I am over 60 yrs old, I get a lot of compliments on my French Braid(s). I also love watching your channel.....You make finding things in Goodwill take me back when my kids were young and I used to do what you are doing, purchasing things and reselling them.
I am getting so hooked on shopping with you two!
Love your do. It’s really cool.
What a deal on those lamps! Good for you! 😊
Murano Glass is always of value, I have been to the factory and watched them make things as it is all hand blown.... They had a chandlier for a little over 1.3Mil in euro that was all hand blown 3 tiers....
Do more videos like this!
My hubby was an “antique” picker for 30 yrs. I enjoy your videos! However I think that this is educating people in what’s hot, therefore makes finding stuff harder. That’s what happened to the antique business! 😫😀happy hunting!
Wow! I just found 2 Van Briggle Lamps (Parrot in Tree) with Original Butterfly Shades for $1.99 each at Goodwill! I ALSO found a Black Van Briggle Lamp (no shade) for $2.99, AND a Vintage Aladdin Lamp with tactile IVY for $2.99! BOOM! 🤑

Your videos are awesome!!!! Learned a good bit from ya!!!! 😄
Your videos are so refreshing. I sure hope you do well with your purchases LOL Loved ya husky voice too. My friend used to collect lamps. First one he got was out of a dump in an olde gold mining ghost town. In those days Kerosene lamps were abundant. He would look in old mine adits and find miners spiders and even good household lamps in them. Have fun. You got some great offers LOL

I painted and made that Christmas tree wish I still had it been looking for one again for my kid.
I love these videos because i dont go to thrift stores or antique stores as much as i want to.
I find it way better to find vintage jewelry that will sell for good money and shipping is cheap & easy Nice that you metal detect also, I love lamps, vintage reselling and shopping my forte and metal detecting we are alot alike
The lamps were beautiful happy for you
I wish I had your knowledge of glass. I get a bunch when I go to the auction and never know what any of it is so it ends up sitting in my store til the right buyer comes along. I actually stopped buying glass and switched to buying electronics and bulk books. Books are pretty self explanatory. I hour over 3500 a few months ago at a thrift store going out of business auction for 14.50. Already made about 40 times that. Many were common books but there were surprisingly quite a few golden nuggets in there.

Like what? Don't know valuable books. First edition . Signed? Rare. How do u know?
Great job .
cool find congrats
Hello! I just started watching this video and when you picked up those Murano glass lamps I about crapped myself! I had those very same lamps but in a light blue. I got them at an antique flea market called Shupp's Grove in Lancaster county PA. I think I paid like $25 for the pair. I had to leave them behind in one of my moves. DAMN!! I love glass stuff too.
Holy crap! I will never walk by the lamps ever AGAIN. I have some serious homework to do. I have been thrift picking since April 2018; but never payed the lamps much mind. I have seen some of these types of lamps. I looked on Ebay and those little Murano mushroom lamps sell for some quick cash. I have seen them plenty of times - but never thought they were worth anything. There was one particular thrift store close to Washington DC that had tons and tons of vintage lamps. Now they are out of business :( When I think of all the money I probably passed up, it makes me sick to my stomach.. But NEVER again. I never realized lamps could be worth this much. I will report back with what I find! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Omg I love those bowls my mom had some
Cool findings! Take care of that cold.

Great scores.
Pyrex, yes I used to collect so much of it, and the demand was mad here in our little town. Recently downsized and couldn't even sell it for 5-10 bucks, same pattern as you shown and friendship pattern. Donated some and trashed the rest unfortunately. Learned my lesson, sure did take a dip in the last couple of years
Those bowl, my mother had them...could not imagine $75 for them. Wow!

That is the antique store and thrift store I git all the time. Never thought there was that much good stuff at that Salvation Army. There are some new goodwill stores in the area now since you made this video in 2016
Hello! Thanks for video! Any tips on how to identify antiques?
Hmm, I have a box of those Starbucks City Mugs, mostly from my travels outside the US. Guess I'll dig them out of storage.
Enjoyed the video, so your a bit of an Entrepreneur as well, good luck with your sales :-)
I’ve been looking for some ZCoil shoes actually!!! I bought a couple pair in Gatlinburg about 20 yrs ago. Nice with a bad back!
Beautiful!
My mother has the exact same set of bowls in her kitchen cupboard😨 Not faded either.
Looks like you've upgraded to a suite instead of just a room...nice job!
What did you seek those beautiful lamps for ?awsome you went trash picking I just found the most neatest planters on curbside for bulk trash pick up.. love saving good items from landfills
I subbed because of your hair.. I absolutly love it.. And go figure.. Your content is awesome too.

OMG...the stuff I have donated over the years. Thankfully, someone is making a living. I didnt know the Starbucks mugs were discontinued. I have a Bahrain and Animal Kingdom. Wish I could have gotten a Va, Va Beach or Washington DC. Those are the places I have lived.

@NakedAndLaughing Found a Virginia mug 2 weeks ago Target and now have my family in Tennessee trying to locate the Tennessee. I thought it was a VB mug but got it confused with the You are Here series "Virginia."
Zcoils goes for 200-250 they are great for people with back surgery. I owned 2 pair... expensive but you feel like your on a cloud. Great for you back.
Nice Score on the Lamps 👍
I have noticed that the thrift stores are now starting to research the donated items that they think are worth money.. I live in Batavia NY and I go to the salvation army a couple times a week to treasure hunt, and they just got a new piece of vintage furniture donated.. I don't know to much about furniture But it's an art deco stand.. they have a price tag of $2500 on it.. it's been sitting there collecting dust, but it amazes me that they can put such a price on something that's been donated.. Not to mention it's a none profit organisation.. But no matter it's the fun of the hunt I enjoy..
Missing my shopping fix, you and Sue have helped a quarantine victim

But that 's wrongly put. The value to Yourself is what it means to u and you pay what you must. What they will pay IS how an item is valued.

NewtoU...not sure what you mean...but something that is valuable to you personally is something you want to keep I assume and you pay what you can. Something valuable that you are trying to sell to someone else is what they are willing to pay. Kind of apples and oranges. Thanks

@@patriciamalone3553 Sorry you got such a storm over your initial statement. As someone who has been picking and reselling for 17 years, I have just about decided that an item's worth (in terms of selling) IS what someone will pay for it. I get what you said!

Where do you sell these items at once you buy them? I have made similar purchases myself but have no clue where to sell them. Do you know how marketable vintage sewing patterns might be?
FYI it's actually Amish butterprint not butternut on the Pyrex .
