The funny thing is, I've been saying this since before the ECW/WCW buyout. Giamatti is an absolute genius, and he's a very close visual fit for Hayman. Giamatti's work on Man in the Moon showed he can handle biopic work well, and he fully embraces every role. I haven't been to a theater since 10,000 BC premiered, but I'd go watch this in theaters.

That’s exactly what I thought even Jared Leto as a “young version” of anyone is so silly he’s in his 50s and cage as taker would be awesome but again maybe twenty years ago lol

I would like to see three biopics of WWE superstars. 1. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. 2. "Classy" Freddy Blassie. 3 "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart.

Hitting hard right out of the gate with Finlay/Graham. Two of my absolute favorites in their respective genres.

Nic Cage in 10 inch heels

While a Bruno Sammartino or Kurt Angle biopic would be great and inspirational, I want to see a kayfabe origin story of Undertaker and Kane. They have done it on a comic and novel, so why not the big screen?

The movie is in the early states. I think Chavo JR is trying to get the right people involved to get it in development. I hope we get to see this movie one day.

Say what you will about Nicholas Cage: If he agreed to play the undertaker, he would put everything he had into the role. He says yes to some very bad movies, but he always takes every part he plays very very seriously.

Cheating Death, Stealing Life. It's the perfect title for an Eddie Guerrero biopic. Not sure who could really play him though. And for Heyman... The Shaman of Wrestling sounds like a great fit.

He was almost Thor, but I always thought they mossed a chance to use him as Sabertooth. He would have been much better than the dude from Manchurian Candidate.

While I can’t deny the fact that SOME of these characters could stand a biopic movie - the casting, with the sole exception of Giamatti as Heyman is atrocious 😂

Paul G the way he talks in Cinderella Man always made me want to see him be Paul Heyman. I think if we want a more accurate Deadman we get someone younger, but can be physical and take on the serious. I say Alexander Skarsgård. He was very good in the Northsman. He can translate that to be the dead man better than Cage.... RESPECTFULLY

Chavo Jr. has stated in an interview that given how well Iron Claw did and how for the most part it was faithful to the Von Erich story both how they were in the ring and their personal lives outside of the ring that him and the rest of the Guerrero family, and Rey Mysterio and his family are fine with A24 pictures doing a Guerrero bio-pic focusing on his grandpa Hector Guerrero, his dad Chavo Guerrero Sr. and uncle Eddie Guerrero trying to make Lucha-Libre a popular style of wrestling in the US during the 80s and 90s and the highs and lows of that real-life journey but on 2 conditions the first is it has to be a good film made with care and not made as a cash-grab to capitalize on the Guerrero name, and the 2nd is it has to capture both the highs and lows of Hector, Chavo Sr., Eddie, and the Guerrero family in the ring, and concerning their personal lives especially as a family outside the ring.

Some of these wrestlers could have their stories on streaming services. Mostly because if you're not worldwide known like The Undertaker, Jake Roberts, Bruno, Paul Heyman, HBK or Bret. People aren't going to be interested in watching it in theaters.

The Wrestler (even though Randy the Ram was fictional), Fighting With My Family (Saraya/Paige was barely known AT ALL outside wrestling) and The Iron Claw (The Von Erichs are known in Texas but not worldwide) have all done decent business at theatres; even in my hometown of Sheffield, England, where the films were pretty packed in our biggest cinema...
