1. Chris Jericho "Break the Walls Down 2007" Jericho's actual theme at the time was actually present on the Wii version of SmackDown vs RAW 2009. It indeed was a way to market the Vol. 8 album. 2. DDP "Diamonds" The theme 2K used was written and produced by Jim Johnston. It's also present on his WWE DVD that was released around the same time. 3. Bossman "Jive Soul Bro" His "Hard Times" theme is owned by WWE, written by Jimmy Hart and J. Maguire. It was released on iTunes and Spotify on 2014 on the WWE: The Federation Era album. 4. Rick Rude "The Stripper” WWE still own the publishing rights to both of Jim Johnston's themes made for Rick Rude, it appears there's legal troubles due to sounding too similar to David Rose's "The Stripper". 5. Cactus Jack “The Devil In The Detail” This is a production track on Extreme Music. Cactus' infamous theme was NOT written by Jim Johnston, as it is also a production track that was, interestingly, used in pornographic movies. Jim Johnston did write a replacement for it, which was used in WWE '13, but WWE didn't provide 2K this song. 6. Bam Bam Bigelow "Blood Cult” This is a production track on Extreme Music. All of Bam's themes were written by Jim Johnston, it seems WWE didn't provide 2K this song. 7. Ric Flair "Early Sprach" Ric actually used this song in 1991. It was arranged and produced by Jim Johnston. Another mistake in WWE's part in providing the themes to 2K. It was also present on WrestleMania X8 for the GameCube.

However, add Dudleyz to the list of wrestlers that came out to their older themes instead of their current ones. Which was 'Bombshell.'

Ivory as well..... since 2k17 they’ve called it “Made Of Ivory” even though the song they put in the game is her original song entitled “sky high” and it makes no sense because the HOF showcase match that was in the game was based off of a match when she had the ACTUAL “Made of Ivory” theme song.

So based on this video, we can probably assume THQ couldn't come to terms with Kid Rock on that song, either. I never understood how they can have such a good, long-standing relationship with Kid Rock, but all his songs and performances end up getting dubbed or edited out on DVDs, video games, the Network, etc.

The next game after SD2 was SD3 : Just Bring It where Undertaker had “Rollin” theme song. Shut Your Mouth was later and the theme song was no longer Rollin.

What about Victoria’s entrance from older games? Tatu’s “All the Things She Said.” It’s horrible instrumental in the older games.”

That theme for Ravishing Rick Rude was the correct theme. They however got it wrong in WWE 2K18. It sounds like generic stripper music.

Agree with that. Kane at that time change Slow chemical for other song with an intro similar with his original song. I would understand why his original theme is in his entrance because there was a DLC of Masked Kane, but I don't know... That game had so much crazy things to talk about

Bam Bam's theme (WWE2K15-2K17) is his WCW theme, he used it on the last Nitro. I was floored when I heard it after years of giving him that crappy one. The Bam Bam Bigelow they were using was the one from the WCW Pack in 2k15, so therefore his run of games from 2k15 on was his correct theme as they were using the WCW version of Bam Bam. The "Jive Soul Bro" in 2k16 can easily be stated as they were using the Twin Towers version of Bossman (as I recall he was a default heel in the game for Universe mode - and the Twin Towers were heels).

Like the nWo theme, Cactus Jack's theme is one of those songs that seems to drift in and out of WWE's control. In fact, there are a few times the nWo theme is missing (SVR 2006 for example)

Cactus Jack's Entrance Theme "Whole Lotta Groove" is not made by Jim Johnston, it is from Olivier Cyril Maunick.

In WWE 12 when you unlock Stone Cold in universe mode, Mr. McMahon's music plays

I liked jericho' s theme in svr2009

The song used in Bigelow's entrance was his WCW theme, "Shank", and the model is based on his WCW appearance.

In WWE12 Husky Harris and Mason Ryan both have the wrong theme. They switched themes.

I think the Bam Bam Bigelow we've gotten in some of the recent WWE games are based on his WCW run. Because he was originally included in the WCW pack in 2K15. So maybe that's why we didn't get his theme song that had the most amazing lyrics of all time. "BAM BAM! BAM BAM! BAM BAM!" Absolutely amazing. lol

I think that song was an alright rendition of Jericho's theme, but at the same time I feel the traditional version has always suited him just fine, regardless of character.

Undertakers theme in “No Mercy” was incorrect as well

Undertaker's theme in WWF Smackdown 2: Know your role was actually the Raw is War theme. Couldn't believe you left that out! 😮😂

DDP's Dubbed Theme on the Network is okay but I would use his Original Theme when playing as him in Video Games or Watching DDP'S Matches on the Network

They semi did one for a the WWE Entrance theme DVD or something like that. He talked about the different wrestlers and how he created the songs. What I found cool Orton's voices theme was written to be a country theme song but they changed it. I recommend you watching it

In WWE All Stars, the Big Bossman is in his 80s attire but walks to his attitude era theme.

WWE '13 - Bret Hart had his current theme instead of the "Hart Attack" theme since the game paid tribute to the Attitude Era

Surprised Dr Death Steve Williams having Dan Severn's theme in WWF Attitude wasn't on this list. Cactus' theme wasn't by Jim Johnston BTW, it's from a defunct production music library and as a result the track is no longer available for licensing.

That sounds like Rick Rudes theme. They should have put Simply Ravishing from WCW Slam Jams 1

Honestly liked Jericho’s theme in SvR 09 better than he’s normal theme. That version hit way harder and just felt more suited to Jericho as a heel.

In SvR 2007, the team of Great Khali and Daivari have Mark Henry's theme for some reason.

I totally forgot Taker had the Thorn in my Eye RAW theme. even then I thought that was strange and they could have come up with an alternative similar theme

Bam Bam Biglow was because it was based of his WCW run and that was his WCW theme.

Now that we’re dead would definitely be the best theme for undertaker to go out on, especially since it’s a pretty well known song his fans can memorize and sing along during his final entrances really get into his biker gimmick again great idea

Low-key surprised you didn't mention RVD and Kane having alternate theme songs in Here Comes the Pain. RVD had his Invasion theme called Van Daminator instead of One of a Kind by Breaking Point (which he had in Shut Your Mouth and almost every other game) Kane had Out of the Fire (his later-days Attitude Era song) instead of Slow Chemical by Finger Eleven (aka the best Kane theme) RVD also used Fury of the Storm by Shadows Fall in SvR 2007 (from the WWE Wreckless Intent soundtrack), instead of his otherwise traditional WWE song by Breaking Point. Wonder why they usually struggled getting that song 🤔 Also, come to think of it, I think Lita's song in Here Comes the Pain is also her Attitude Era song rather than the one she'd use from around 2002 to her retirement.

Rick rude theme was right, I woulda included RVD's "Fury of the Storm", and to my knowledge Jim Johnston had a licensing deal - infact he owns his music and not the WWE (as you can find by looking up licensing rights on KZread and Uncaged on itunes. That's also a primary factor to why the WWE has been re-dubbing his music and replacing his themes with CFO$ for current performers

Rick Rude's music is correct here. I think only 2K17 and 2k14 are the only games with his classic theme. Every other game he's appeared in had the generic stripper theme, that he may or may not have used before the classic saxophone 🎷 theme

The reason behind cactus Jack not having the right music is because mick Foley explains in his autobiographies that the cactus Jack song wasnt actually written by jim Johnston Mick had actually heard it in a porn film and liked the song

And here is one more, Jeff Hardy theme in “Smackdown Shut Your Mouth”.

Also Garrison Cade in Smackdown vs RAW & Day of Reckoning, Matt Hardy in WWE RAW 2 on Xbox, Hollywood Hulk Hogan in SvR 2006....

Kurt stole it from the band journey, it's a simple chord progression, Ghrol knew that, jimmy hart prolly knew it along with knowing the circle of 4ths

There’s got to be more to the thing with Bam Bam Bigelow because I recall another SVR game where he was included as a Legend but came out to no theme music.

RVD in SVR 2007 had a different theme as well

Stacy Keibler's dubbed theme instead of her legs theme .
