This is the perfect example of developers enjoying the product they made when they knew it was awesome. They threw that stuff for a laugh.

Scott Hall actually briefly appears on the credits video, and it was also possible to create an updated Kane with the attire and mask he debuted in the summer of 2002.

NEW LEGACY USED THAT FOR DDP....

Smackdown Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain were so great. It´s crazy how interactive the arena was and how free and in depth season mode was. They were the best games for me until SVR 2011 introduced Universe Mode but still everything else was somehow weak. It took them years to catch up. WWE 2K19 is nearly perfect but it still lacks the interactivity and epic season mode.

Those games aren't as fun their too much about the gameplay extend of just having fun playing through a interactive story that's why thier for wrestling mega fans who obsessed with fantasy matches all for marks 2k I only liked 2k14 and 16 otherwise the games lack depth and fun

I nearly cried watching this 😌😌 I was 5 when this came out...... my dad played this religiously with my older brother. To everyone watching this enjoy the little things in life.

I was 7 and damn i feel old. This is where i started collecting all the ps2 to now ps4 wwe games.

You can create 3 Variations of Kane: His 1997 Attire, his 1999 Reversed Attire, and his 2002 Attire. The thing is the masks will not close the character’s mouth. When talking, Kane’s mouth will move through the mask and it’s obvious. The 2002 Kane is when he returned and attacked The Un-Americans. There’s also a reference to Triple H and Shawn Michaels’ Unsanctioned Match.

Saturn, Boss Man, Crash, Cena, Batista, Terri, Scott Hall, Jacqueline were originally set to be on the roster. They have hidden scrapped files.

R-Truth was known as K-Kwik back in the day.

This game and HCTP were the best just because of all the creative freedom you had. No limits to pretty much anything. Even the walking animations were fun to create.

I liked Shut Your Mouth better than Here Comes The Pain. The menus and music were hella badass.

I never got to play HCTP. Life took over and my interest in wrestling went away around that time. I loved SYM though. I usually play WWE games for the story mode so this was a good experience after the disappointment i felt when the credits rolled on Just Bring It.

@@jayturk4596 I know Just Bring It had a bunch of glitches like that. Apparently certain move slots were left empty, so using the presets would crash the game... That, and those damn save files were 4mb/ 8mb

I didn't realize those pay per view arena were real but they were mainly from the 2001 era of WWF

you don’t have to choose RAW arena to get to the parking lot. You can get there in any arena just have to know where to go backstage. Or you could simply just choose parking lot as the default stage at the start menu for hardcore matches.

Making a perfect Spider-Man caw and doing high flying moves off the Smackdown fist.....oh the nostalgia

There are default CAW models which look a lot like Mick Foley, Christopher Nowinski and Jamie Noble.

I remember that Booker T one. After I saw that, my mind thought of Gilberg as I made a character using that entrance called Booker G. I am surprised though you didn't show the Spider-Man entrance. Thought was another one I remembered.

Moveset 8 is pretty much an extra Ric Flair moveset, but i guess it was meant to be David Flair's moveset.

As much as I love Here Comes The Pain, Shut Your Mouth (or Def Jam Vendetta) is my favorite wrestling game for the PS2. :)

Shawn Stasiak's first and last appearance too, also nobody ever seems to mention, the create a taunt and the like modes all have the WWF logo on the turnbuckles, was one of the few instances of the old logo that Yukes forgot to remove

That shining wizard the ref did on Earl was my favorite move. You could cancel the animation after the drop kick but the other player would still but stuck on one knee

Goldberg's moveset was in WWF Smackdown as well. Well, at least the spear & jackhammer were.

That last one, the only correction I have is Taker at the point wasn’t the American Bad-Ass anymore, he was Big Evil Red Devil Taker at that point because he turned heel.

I still have Just Bring It, Shut Your Mouth, Here Comes The Pain, Smackdown Vs Raw, and Smackdown Vs Raw 2007. I play my PS2 daily. So much classicis. So much nostalgia.

This was Booker Ts debut

These were all fun additions, I especially loved climbing the Smackdown stage and standing on the giant fist, and throwing my opponent off it. 🤣 The King of the Ring stage and Rebellion also.

The fun part of #11 is that you could drive by grab your opponent while riding, drag him around and toss him at a high velocity for damage

Here's a thing I don't thing many people knew about this game, if you play a special ref match as the ref you can remove the refs top by running of the ramp an back on an it will remove the tshirt

i love SD-Shut-Your-Mouth! that's one of! if not! the main reason! why i still to this day have my old PS2 console hooked up to my living room TV!...

That snowball fight fact had me shocked! WOW!

Thiis game was fun however u couldn't make your opponent bleed it didn't feel like wrestling game

Uh, I believe one of the loading screens already tells you that you can ride Undertaker's bike... lol

I was just 2:17 in and got the biggest smile on my face cuz I saw my SYM CAW video had a cameo in this so thanks for that!

God this game at a yardsale in elementary school for my ps2, and I absolutely loved playing it. One of my favorite wrestling games for sure.

Loved, LOVEd playing this game. Sure HCTP was better overall, but for me all of these games from around this time period were FUN to play. God I miss them.

Not only that, but this game did not have crowd fighting. That was Just Bring It, with it's paper physics. The only way to do so on here was by glitching through the barricade.

Lol I hate when people talk shit about today's games when technically they are almost better in every way. The modern games have better graphics, huge rosters, each wrestler has distinctive abilities and attributes that distinguish them from each other, the gameplay is very strategic and u need to know when and how to use your resources. Stamina, health, momentum and payback ability now all play a part in the match. Compare all this to the old arcady games where there was no strategy and it all revolved around spamming running moves to win lol. If u don't like realistic wrestling games I can get that, but to objectively say that they're bad is just laughable. The only thing that was better is the season mode, I'll always admit that.

I had an AR MAX hacking device, and there was a code that allowed you to make a "one-Legged wrestler". I made a CAW of Zach Gowen, and when I use a CAW, his leg disappears (the only problem is that it is the wrong leg).

Its true!!! R-truth looks almost the same..and has been in the WWE for a really long time.

It's Funny You Say I Didn't Know About Things in this Game. I used to love climbing the Fist with Jeff Hardy and usually miss the opponent I was trying to hit lol. Plus I used to have fun Riding Takers bike when I discovered by accident that I could ride. My opponent was always running to catch me but never could lol. This Game Is My Favorite of the entire Series. Next would Smackdown 2 then Smackdown vs Raw 2006 My Teacher bought that for me when I used to TA for her that was the end of the year Gift for helping her. Then The Original Smackdown Game!

The Goldust entrance animation needed to be DDP doing that animation lol

The backstage areas are the same in evey arena. It doesn't matter if your on raw or smackdown as long as they're hardcore matches. I knew most of these things because i spent so much time with this game back in the day but was still fun to watch.

Ni Ri Yea as mentioned in the video when creating a wrestler for example if you select lets say Head 21 Eyes 21 Mouth 21 Hair 21 etc etc youll get Mr Perfect...Scott Hall is 7, Goldberg is 25 D’Lo Brown is 2 etc etc

I think when this game was under process, they were making WWF and suddenly started editing into WWE after McMahon declared they are rebranding WWF into WWE, so they started removing the WWF logos wherever they put in and so on... I think this was happened

Just popped this bad boy in the old ps2 and maaan talk about nostalgia.....Hogan’s entrance with the jimi hendrix just took me back 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 its feels like a legends game at this point

Dale Bagwell I just followed the “hair 7, eyebrows 7,” etc. formula. I only made him to try to have the original nWo in season mode, but when setting up stables I realized it doesn’t really work like that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ni Ri It’s number 7. Eyes 7, eyebrows 7, face edit 7, face morphing 7, hair 7, mustache 7. Then for the attire just look for the paint-drip design; it starts out blue and purple, so you have to edit it to black and white. That’s elbow pads, knee pads, and you can do the trunks too but those don’t translate well to black and white (they look gray) so if I touch him up I’m going to give him blank black trunks (“underwear”) and add the nWo logo.

This was such a fun game. I used to play it for hours. Thankfully I still have it and a functional PS2.

Jacqueline the best of all at that time and the strongest deserved her place in this video game ... I am angry that she did not come out.

The undertaker bike one is pointless. I remember there’s was a specific loading screen telling you the instructions on how to ride his bike and it would come on every time he was in a match.

I had alot of fun with SYM but hated the backstage roaming in Season mode. This is also Raven's last WWF/E game, a real shame.

That custom entrance that Goldust used would be handy to use for Bray Wyatt's entrance.

There’s was also this hidden parking lot where you could drive a motorcycle and a car. My brother would be undertaker for the bike and I’d always drive the car with Eddie Guerrero lol

*Even tho they put some over the top stuff in WWE, that's what made those games so much fun!!!! You can tell that not only did the creators have fun making it but they put soo much effort in each game*

That exploding car part was not a big secret they revealed it in the commercial it shows Brock Lesnar throwing Kurt Angle into a car and the car explodes sending Kurt Angle flying and smashing into another car

Is it this or HCTM that has a tag entrance where they roll down the ramp in a shopping trolley? And a similar trio one where the third guy went flying over the ring. Always gave that to the Dudley's with Spike flying over.

If I remember correctly about Undertakers bike, u can press O to do donuts lol

OMG now I feel like playing smackdown shut your mouth again just to have a snowball fight. I don't think I know half the things mentioned I certainly don't remember being able to climb the smackdown fist. The only thing I actually remember that wasn't new to me was being able to ride undertakers bike

1 carry over i wish this game had was 8 wrestlers in the ring at time. It made the Royal rumble match more competitive and enjoyable.
