@@legostarwars-yh1bm That's true but genes definitely a factor. I went to College with a guy who was 6'3 and ripped to shreds. I was in pretty good shape at the time, too. Unfortunately, at 5'4 and 125 pounds, there's no way I would look like that guy so it's always good to be optimistic about your goals.

Thank you for this recommendations:: THINGS I DID RIGHT WHEN I STARTED LIFTING by Simeon Panda 1) Genetics ( I had no expectations) - Not knowing is a postive, just train and lift. 2) Not having a Goal Physique ( Just Self Improvement ) - Be more conscious of your progression, be proud of your progress 3) Home Training ( Me, Myself, I ) - Focusing on me and learn your body and the exercises. 4) Consistency ( No Time Off ) - it is important to build this habit, a daily workout routines is a key. 5) Patience ( Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy ) 6) Max Effort ( Train Hard, Get Results ) Have a high level of Intensity when you train - push yourself to failure and listen to your body. Be intense with your training. 7) Log Book ( I logged my lifts ) - Keep a training journal, take notes on your progress and observations. What works or what does not work, log it. This helps you build a strong foundation on your progress and it adds a structure to your routines. 8) Anatomy ( I knew how and what to target ) _ book to get "Strength Training Anatomy" by Frédéric Delavier

Perhaps, I think you can teach consistency by motivating, but regularly. If you see humans are easy to manipulate over the time period. for example, the terrorists, no one is born as a terrorist and no one has that much hateness inside them to do suicide bomb, but over the time they got manipulated. now if you really want someone to do exercise regularly then you have to manipulate that person. The question is how you can manipulate someone to do the lifting regularly? Well, in my opinion, if anyone is trying to do the lifting, don't show them any attitude, you might have seen in the gym, many people try to show off, but you shouldn't, and instead, tell positive things to that person. Maybe you can talk about the little progress that person has achieved it, and you might not see it, but the newcomers always see it, even if it is their first day they see the progress in their body that's why they look at the mirror, and you can't see it because compere to your body progress, his/her body progress is less, but you should show them their progress and always try to be humble in front of newcomers then they might get manipulated and might learn consistency because in the world everything is related to butterfly theory. Now some may not remember the butterfly theory; it is basically the relation of each small very small change that causes a big change. Now one of the examples of being humble is my explanation about butterfly effects theory. Some of us will say "if you don't know the butterfly effect theory, then it is.....". Saying such is not bad, but it would be much better if you say like I did " Now some may not remember the butterfly theory; it is...". Here the reader does not feel that I am trying to put them down, they feel that I am the same as them, even if they never heard about the butterfly effect.

@guillotine 481 If you're not such a goal-oriented person, you can can also have consistency if you recognize and appreciate the feeling and results of each exercise. If you just really enjoy the feeling of being stronger, bigger, lighter, heavier, healthier and all the endorphins released you'll just keep coming back instead of doing it as a means to an end for something way in the future. That's also a mindset that will really help it become a lifestyle.

I stayed consistent for 4 months and gained 20 pounds of muscle. And then I hit a plateau, and lost motivation from the quarantining. Now I'm back on it (6'0, 177 lbs). Goal weight is 190. I have chicken legs. So that's what's really holding me back 😭 Gotta force myself to eat better too. I like how I just wrote a journal in a reply section. I appreciate you if you read this lol. Lifting weights is a PASSION. You just fall in love with it just like that. I started working out at the village and there dumbbells don't exist. We put cement into empty bottles of paint( the middle ones) and connect the two bottles with a metal between. When I moved to a city, I started window shopping and the gyming equipment section was my favourite. I started the real gym and I just love it just the same way other people love sprinting, art, cars and others. And for my generation (90s), we are lucky we have everything done for us on KZread by guys like Simeon panda and others. Keep pushing bros😎 PASSION PATIENCE CONSISTENCY.

Great video. Genetics and home training is definitely the key points! I trained at home for 4 years before even entering a gym, the values and foundations you learn from that process are something you can’t get by jumping straight into the gym.

Hey Simeon, i start to watch your videos when i was really wondering is it worth all this time and money i spend in gym and for food i have to consume. Man, trust me i am really motivated now ! When you said "Just keep working and you will achieve your goals i guarantee you" i just smiled and i felt some kind of ecstasy. You are big inspiration for me and i know you say we must focus on ourselves, not the other people, but i really hope i will be like you on age of 33. Please continue with everything you do and be strong ! Greets from Bulgaria and sorry for my mistakes in comment

Alright sim, this is is my current situation. Started working out 5 years ago and stayed consistent for about 3.. suddenly started working long hours and lost my gym grind. I still do hit the gym as often as possible but no consistency at all. Now back then the only difference was my supplement intake was substantial including pre work out. Since my older consistent days I’ve been working out completely supplement free. Besides finding the discipline in myself to get back to the consistency would you have any tips for someone having a hard time getting back to the grind? 🤔🙏

This video really helps me because I’ve been working on my body for 6 months now it’s not a lot of time but I’ve seen some changes. I workout at home like you used too and it really helps me focus on myself. I’m like you I long arms I’m tall I’m 6’2 and I’m only 15. Growing up my dad used to body build so I would always wanna workout and get as big as my dad was. Since I’ve started working out i was 140 pounds now I’m 165 so there’s been some good changes people say I look different but I don’t think the same, I have a goal and if you guys are reading this and you don’t have a goal to where you wanna go with your body you can never get to the you want without a goal. Seeing you and your body motivates me way way more to keep going and reach my goal.
