I recently discovered some KZread videos on cream of tartar for blood pressure. It is a byproduct of winemaking and is potassium. I have only tried it twice so far and it worked really fast to lower my blood pressure. I will continue this to see if it continues to work, but I am encouraged.

My french doctor who is retired now, takes for his HBP: Mg Vit C Vit d3 Coenq10 Olive leaves L-carnitine and doing Gi Gong. Only 1 glas of red wine with meal (no sandwich, but real meal with lot of vegetable). No medication. he has been practising as certified doctor for 45 years. Of course his BP was only 150 not 200. I do the same only I still take telmisartan 40 (my BP was 220 once when I was transported to emergency). I walk 1hour a day at least. Im 76 yrs. I used to take 80mg though. With BP of 140, no need to take medication but you have to measure your BP every 2 days.

I have same with the potassium, if I tend to get dehydrated/low blood volume, I know my potassium is out of balance. But I take electrolytes instead or a bunch of grapes. Works everytime without disturbing my electrolyte balance too much. I also take potassium tablets (max 1 per 2 days mostly to top up my iodine intake) but Im careful, unlike the other 3 your kidneys dont respond as promtly to 'overdose' of potassium mostly because the amount is so low that you need.

I have been on the keto/carnivore program for years and my blood pressure averages around 105/65. Sometimes it goes to 95-100/60 . Ofcourse once in a while it's 115/80 when I get really stressed out. Is there away to raise blood pressure naturally? Because the keto diet eliminates all processed foods and bad carbs I usually have to add in himalayan sea salt or redmonds salt. Any other natural ways to increase my bp?

A few weeks ago I started taking fish oil, vitamin D3, C, magnesium, zinc, boron, L citrulline, K2 and instead of coq10 I take ubiquinol. Along with those I started taking a few natural supplements that help boost testosterone in men with lower levels. Along with high blood pressure I’ve been having a lot of symptoms of low testosterone for the last 5 years or so. I finally had enough and am starting to take my health seriously at age 41. I have an umbilical hernia so I can’t really lift until I get it fixed but I’m doing what I can do and am already feeling a lot better. The supplements I’m taking to help with testosterone along with the vitamins and minerals are Tongkat ali, ashwagandha and fadogia agrestis. After about 7 or 8 days of taking them I started to feel a difference. I felt more confident, actually had drive to be more physical instead of feeling like I have to drag myself around everywhere and I started waking up with the good ole morning wood again. Before these supplements I would wake up with wood maybe 2 to 3 times a month. Now it’s just about everyday and my libido is back. I feel better all around and my anxiety is lower. One big reason my testosterone is low is because I’ve been on methadone for like 17 years. The average man on methadones testosterone level is 1/4th of what it should be. And high blood pressure is common among people on methadone. Methadone and other opioids hurt your mineral levels also. Stay away from drugs people! And if you get pain killers prescribed to you make sure only take them if you really really need them. My addiction to them started when I was taking them when I could have gone without. I was in pain but not enough to need them. Everyone take care of yourselves and stay safe!

My caffine intake doesn't help, I have about 4 cups of coffee and a few tins of coke a day. Going to have to cut that way back I think, and start a proper regime of supplements.

I already took 4 of those supplements. Plus I take NAC and Niacin which also lower blood pressure. And I do aerobic exercise. Problem is that my blood pressure is naturally low. So with six supplements that lower it further the result is that it is too low and I end up being dizzy or light headed. I'm going to have to drop some of those supplements to see if it helps.

I’ve gotten all the results I needed just adding 500mg of magnesium to what I was already doing. Magnesium also helps me sleep. I eat steamed kale and also using flaxseed in either my oatmeal or in applesauce, particularly delicious in applesauce. I’m now consistently under 120/80, and sometimes as low as 111/49. And I use Morton’s Lite salt. I use a lot of cinnamon which helps control blood sugar and it is delicious. Me and caffeine don’t see eye to eye so I drink herbal teas. They are really good and don’t make me jittery. I don’t do fish oils as I am vegetarian, not a pescatarian.

If my blood pressure was this low on occasion but I am used to it. I do not black out when I stand up. We live in a meat eating culture in which you look around at the people standing in line to check at the doctor’s office, and you’ll see 75% are overweight and 1/4 of those are OBESE!!! My blood pressure as a child was actually lower than average. Also people who’ve lost weight and mine is down 50 lbs. from what I once was, have lower blood pressure too. I am 69 years old and rarely get sick. Going vegan 10 years ago a proximately, I’ve had exactly 2 colds and the flu, once. Before that, I’d average 3-4 colds per year and then the flu every 3rd to 4th year. I healed a broken bone post menopause, of which many women my age could not do. You see I eat Kale frequently, full of calcium but also it is good for the epithelial cells which line the arteries. If I were to exercise and take my blood pressure, my pressure would go up as anyone’s does. My weight is at the high end of BMI for my height because I don’t exercise enough. But I am up and on my feet throughout the day and I do not black out when I get up. I don’t feel chronically tired and since taking Magnesium, getting adequate sleep. For me 6-7 hours is enough. When I walk, I walk faster than people half my age and am not winded. I do stretches, squats. We don’t live in the best neighborhood. A homeless shelter is around the corner and down the street. My husband fears for my safety. He had Prostate Cancer and the surgery to remove it as it was Stage 4. That was about 5 years ago and he is still in adult diapers. Walking very far chafes him, a brisk walk is out of the question. I see a Dermatologist occasionally. He is amazed at my skin. I go because to get checked for skin cancer is important as I had blonde hair before it went gray and have blue eyes. I sunburn easily. But he says he thinks I will live to be 100. I do see doctors but none of them think I am getting ready to keel over. As you can see, I have my wits, even though my mother and dad both lost theirs before they died. I certainly am mentally better off than the current president of the USA. And I knew enough not to vote for him. What is YOUR BP anyway?

Thanks for that that is very good. I am taking magnesium with Taurine, the coQ10, D3, some C, and high fish diet, but the fish oil supplement I should take up and try the beets. My exercise regime that works for me is stair climbing. This stresses my knees the least while giving a good load on the heart. At work there is a 2 flight set which is a 6M rise. I am now up to 20 circuits of those a day which equals up and down a 40 floor building. I also do a 5 day fast every other (or other other) week. When you run the numbers 7700 calories (Kcals) equals 1 Kg of fat loss. So my fast causes a deficit of 5 times 2500 calories or 12,500 calories or 1.6 Kg of body fat, and with the calorie consumption of the exercise which is about 600 calories for 40 flights of stairs times 5, so I’m losing by calculation a bit over 2 Kg per 5 day fast. I’ve done 5 times 5 day fasts plus a few more days and have lost 12 Kg. So that is just about spot on theory to practice. I started this because my blood pressure hit 220/ 207 and my doctor wasn’t giving any believable advice. Blood pressure is still all over the place in the eating periods but I get more days at high normal of 135/75 now. So with care I can stabilize the BP after another 3 months of the program. The only thing that would help is for some one to give some clear guidance on electrolytes to take daily during the fast, and what else to protect organs. I have another 12 kg to lose to come down from overweight (95 Kg to 71), so maintaining this for the 3 months is vital and by that time my insulin sensitivity should be near normal (I hope). My personal target is to be able to climb 74 stairs in one go by my 74th birthday. Staying alive, thanks for your advice.

Within a month or so my BP went from around 140-145/80-85 to around 110-120/60-70. I just took my BP before seeing this video and it was 118/64. We don't get enough potassium. Our potassium to sodium ratio should be no less than 2 to 1. We can't get that ratio without a potassium supplement.
