Just wanted to say, you’re welcome. And if you gap your rings to 7 thousandths per inch of bore, you should be able to run 4 digit power numbers all day long. 125 hp per cylinder isn’t so much for an LS. Make sure your tuner understands WHY we run rich at higher hp levels so he can tune accordingly.

I've ran rotella 15w-40 for over a decade now, in everything from high boost high RPM engines, and low power air cooled engines - daily drivers and track toys. It works amazingly well, and the detergents and extra zinc is great for turbos and bearings. I swear by it. Plus, it's cheap (like me 😁)

Rotella has been decreasing their zinc content for over 5 years now. It’s a shame, cause I haven’t bought it since. Now, I just buy whatever is cheapest/on sale and then I buy a case of Shell Zinc Additive to add to it.

Dude...for big cables just put the ring terminal in the vice, take a map torch and heat the terminal up good then start feeding solder into it, once its liquid quickly dip your stripped cable end into it, voila.

Awesome job so far. Crazy how much everyone has progressed since doing the KZread videos. You guys started with off the shelf stuff from autozone and now are making rad rides built all by yourselves. Well done!!!! From what I have seen build wise. You won,t have any issues hitting that 7 . Fuel pump and injectors seem to be the biggest limitation with most builds. Looking forward to the next video. Been following the whole time. One of the best self build LS projects out there!!!

If you put a big glob of grease where you are drilling, it helps capture most of the shavings so not as much gets in the tank. Makes cleaning out the tank easier and keeps the chances of some getting missed down.

So being in the diesel industry I always used to use rotella and alot of people I know did as well, but recently I feel like it has changed. I've noticed on my truck and others that are running rotella they have more blow by than before. I switched to Delo and blow by is gone. Friend had to change his semi fleet over to Delo as well for same reason. Though once new engine is built I will be running Hotshots oil.

You’ve got the car ready and it looks great so now it’ll be nice to see where the power plant ends up

Rotella 15w40 is fine. Used in my companies fleet. Mechanic forgot to put oil in an Impala, did a 3hr run with at least 30mins of idling. Put oil back in afterwards and still used the car until they sold it 250k additional miles later.

I remember when everybody was saying rollcage and you went a 9 by mistake and then everything started for this

Just trying to help. I would ground the block straight to the battery, run a power wire from the alternator. Each should have its own post. Also run a 8 or 10 gauge wire off each head to the chassis. I really enjoy your channel..

As long as your running gas or e85 I'd run mobile 1 that's what I've always ran but I swapped over to methanol last year and started with Shell rotella but now I run Royal Purple nitro plus I've had the best luck with it

I use t6 rotella 5w40 in my turbo cars

Race oil probably would help a tiny bit, I don't know if it's worth the extra cost to you but if you don't have cats a zinc additive makes a big difference and is totally worth it.

For oil I would say Hot Shot’s Secret adrenaline racing oil 20-50 it’s a solid price and great stuff. They actually back up their products with facts and the science to show for it. I use their stuff in my drag car, it’s a small block Chevy with some laughing gas 😉

Are you going to get rid of those silicone couplers for some vibrant hd clamps or something similar?
