Kaplan was awful at asking questions to draft picks. I get it’s tough, but do some research beforehand. Think she made Will Smith sing the Fresh Prince song. Anybody could’ve done better than she did. Good at her job, but damn was she brutal with the interviews.

Michkov has met with the flyers twice and on both occasions was really happy with the flyers wanting to draft him. He had a real good time in vorhees apparently.

As a Habs fan, I am actually happier now that I learned a little bit on Reinbacher. He's going to be a special big boy on the back end. Just hope we don't do another Sergachev with this kid.

Everybody knows Kaprizov stayed in KHL after being drafted but you got the years wrong. He stayed FIVE years in KHL after being drafted which is a legit concern with Michkov. He could resign there like Kaprizov did and take even longer.

Sure Fantili is great, but Carlsson is playing in the 3 best leauge in the world. Carlsson also outperformed Fantili at both the WJC and the WC, anaheim made the correct choice.

There were certain teams Michkov wasn't interested in playing for so I can't blame the teams that didn't take him for that reason. Montreal had discussions with him but it was obvious him and his agent wanted Philly from what we heard come out in the media a few days prior to the draft.

Best name from this draft has to be Marcel Marcel hands down, 5th round pick! Can't trust someone with two first names? He's only got 1!

I'm very happy with the Leafs picking Easton Cowan, he was on fire during the Playoffs and I always loved watching him play, it's even better that I live in his hometown and have met his family before~

"Experts" were saying Gretzky was too slight to make it in the NHL. He was 6 feet but slim. Jagr was not that fast but was said a to be really good once over the blue line, same with Selanne as I recall. So Jagr went 5 (with Canucks taking Nedved instead) and the Finish Flash going at 10 because they did not have blinding speed. I look at the draft with Steve Larmer and Luc Robitaille in mind. Not that big, not that fast, no big shot but hockey IQ yes. Larmer was an All-Star and I think won the Calder and Luc inducted into the HOF

‘Bout the Yotes: it wouldn’t surprise me if the first question they ask prospects is ‘will you play for our organization?’ Second, they drafted Russians, who, they have indefinite first contract signing rights for. Much like Michkov, who said he wouldn’t play for them, both of these guys can develop in the KHL until a new building is ready for the team and then bring them over. It’s a safer pick than Cooley who needs to sign by August 2026 or he becomes a UFA.

It’s very debatable that he was the “best player” I think Fantilli as the better player but I also had Carlsson as the 3rd best player in the draft. They are very close but I think Fantilli’s shot and his physicality puts him over Carlsson

With easton Cowen as a leafs fan, I was like wtf at first. But since I've been watching highlights and footage of hime. I like how he makes smart passes and can make a playthat gets the zone entry then gets him self open perfectly for the goal. And his wrist shot where he is really great at making the goalie believe he has the whole net covered and whip it left side is beautiful. So many of his goals are life that too and it's always perfect. And I think he will fill out the left side with knies and Robertson beautifully in the future
