@@FCBanton Yes. That's the point. TSN is likely paying them a handsome amount to stay there for a good amount of TSN exposure, so there's no guarantee that Bardown can find as good as success, or maybe not as good of pay and production quality to keep making these videos

Idk why but I feel like the podcast could use a better conclusion every week than "that's the podcast this week." Something like a fill in the blank or three stars of the week to wrap on a fun note. Haha most of the time it ends so abruptly due to us running a bit long, but I see what you're saying and will perhaps think if there's an organic way to close things out. But I agree, Mathias, that sometimes it's good to just have a simple 'see you next week!'

Keep it rolling with the weekly podcast. This is the best hockey podcast in the internet.

As a Flyers fan, I'd say no to every single one of these trades. TK, Beezer and Sanny I think are gonna be this teams core when the rebuild is over. The only players I'd consider trading on this team right now are Hathaway, Laughton and Hart

Do they already forget that they were trying to dump his contract in the summer with the Hayes trade, but Krug wouldn't waive his NTC to go to Philly. They wanted to dump him because his NTC activated in July. They didn't want to pay a 2nd pair d man 6.5 but them moving provy made him want the top pair spot, dude put on 20 pounds during offseason

Had a few crazy Oilers ideas which might not make any sense. #1 Could they work something out with Minny to get Fluery? #2 Caps obtain a pool of future assets and swap Kuemper for Campbell (who works out or is bought out in the caps rebuild)

lol no sweat, doesn't bother me at all when people pronounce it incorrectly, as it's a surprise when anyone gets it right! Tough pronunciation in English.

The Sanheim to Vancouver deal makes some sense, but Tocchet has expressed that he doesn’t like doing the dual lefty pairing. They brought in Cole and Soucy (lefty’s) this year who both have right side experience, but have yet to play a game on the right side. Willander is going to (hopefully) be a top pair defensemen with a right shot that the Canucks desperately need! I think Canucks stay the course with Willander since he is a guy you most likely can only get through the draft.

I haven't had time due to law school to look into the top prospects in this year's draft, so I want to ask who, in your opinions, is the consensus number one prospect in this year's draft, and if a consensus isn't reached which prospect would help the Sharks the most?

Kind of agree with Jesse on the Patrick Kane thing, there’s also the “who do you scratch” factor with a young team like that. I get that it’s Patrick Kane and all that but still, we just got Savoie into the lineup after being out for the month.

I certainly don't want to see TK leave my Flyers, but we do need to be honest with ourselves here. This was billed as year 2 of a rebuild and with the roster full of rented vets they're fielding, it certainly feels like it. I'd love to see a few more young pieces added to the existing good young players they have (Farabee, Cates, York, Hart, etc.) and maybe bring in a high-tier veteran or two for leadership.

With Nylander and the money, I think people forget that besides matthews and marners current big contracts that were signed based on thinking the cap was going way up and got fucked by covid, they can offer less then alot of teams just based on what they can do with signing bonuses and sponsorship deal money. Cause getting alot more of your money upfront and avoiding salary, you can invest so much more of it way earlier and can make more money in the long run that way. I think if they do sign willy you'll 9.5-10.5 and huge signing bonuses.

I actually really like ullmark for nuge. Nuge plays a defensive minded game like bergeron, clearly not as good but similar. Could be an amazing fit!

I think it makes too much of a hole for the oilers down the middle tbh. when they can't score goals they often put draisaitl on mcdavid's wing and then their second line center would be either sam gagner or ryan mcleod and thats just not good enough

2 big issues. 1. Boston doesn’t need another center. Zacha and Pasta have great chemistry, and Poitras is developing nicely. 2. Edmonton has arguably a bigger problem at their blue line than in the net, they need disciplined, steady defensemen

92% Nylander is a Blackhawk if Toronto DOESN'T sign him by June or trade him before the deadline. Bedard has 7 goals, 3 assists (with two periods to go) in 12 games played. He's legitimately become a franchise player THIS FAST. Genuinely getting better as he's going. Crazy thing about Tocchet's run as coach? Guy was put on blast for calling them out for one crap game and they've proven it was probably the call that had to be made. Flyers have goalie troubles. The way Edmonton does. They just have guys like Sanheim who pick up the slack defensively that the Oilers can't seem to manage.

I say no to the Canucks trade, were not even 6 months out of drafting Willander, he's been tearing it up in college, were not trading him. Not trading Cole or Soucy either. Both of them have been the Dmen we needed for the past couple years.

Canucks have no cap room for any of these moves. Salary cap are not considered in these trade proposals.

Love the podcasts but as a bruins fans the oilers can keep RNH and its not that I believe ullmark has more value its that RNH has 1 season over a point/game and I believe that its just a mcdavid/powerplay thing until I see it happen again. So I guess in a way I do believe ullmark has more value though I think its a close trade.

Corwin saying basically who cares about the money with Toronto is exactly the reason why they lose every year in the playoffs. You need a full team to win the cup now. The reason teams like Pittsburgh, Tampa, and Boston had so much sustained success and won cups was because they had some guys take a little less for the greater good. Toronto has committed so much money to a few guys that they can't afford to truly surround them with the necessary depth. I think they'd almost be better off trading Willy styles if they get someone to bite.

Not a chance in hell Boston trades a Vezina winner who's still giving them top tier goaltending for a middle-six forward. They have a great system going, and good goaltending is the cornerstone of that system. Their center depth is working just fine as is, they're not that desperate for forwards that they're gonna trade away one of their most essential players for one guy on hot streak on a team in freefall.
